This company is horrible!!! Please do yourself a favor and stay away!!! This guy was supposed to fix a leak by my chimney. He does not give any estimate, just states do not worry he will fix and it will not cost much at all. A couple days later, he sends out 2 guys who bang around for a while on the roof and leave. A month later comes a bill for over $700. Way too much for the work done, but I payed anyway. Fifteen days later, it rains and I have the exact same leak in exact same place as what he supposedly repaired. We called and he does not warranty his work. He states that this must be a "new" issue. He was rude and condescending on the phone with my wife. This is not a nice man! You do not want to deal with him ever! Stay away!!

Job was poorly done.
Description of Work: I had some aluminum siding come off of the soffet & fascia areas of my house during a storm. They came out and looked at it and gave me a quote which I thought was decent for the work. I wasn't able to be at the house when the work was being done. When I got home I walked around and checked it and it was poorly done at best. They used an overwhelming amount of nails on the pieces they replaced. It looked like someone has shot the siding with bird shot. They left me an invoice for the work. I had to call them back out which took several phone calls and weeks to finally get them out. They came back and replaced the pieces with new pieces and this time it looked good, but I was there this time. As part of the job I asked them to check the rest of the aluminum siding on the house and they told me it was good. Within just a month of them finishing up and another storm coming through several other pieces of the siding came loose and I noticed there were nails partially backed out on other pieces. I had to call another company out to take care of the work properly. I would definitely not use them again.

Response from JMS Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc.
Mr. [Member Name Removed], I would like to take the time to address these remarks with you. I've tried to respond to you personally by phone with no response back. The first time we came out was July 13, 2013. We quoted you a price for shingles blown up that was storm related and also siding that was loose. You approved the quote we came out and fixed your storm related issues. We contacted Mr. [Member Name Removed] multiple times for payment. Payment was received months later and personally spoke with Mr. [Member Name Removed], no issues at all at this time. Then in 2015 Mr. [Member Name Removed] called us back out because of another storm had damaged more of his siding on garage area. We went back out and addressed the storm related problem. Mr. [Member Name Removed] wrote this review on 5/23/17 when a tornado touched down miles from his home with more storm damage. Please note: we did not install his siding nor his roof. We only repaired his storm related issues.

The initial impressions were good. They seemed knowledgeable and honest. After their review, it was suggested that a thorough watet test would be required to find the actual cause of the roof leak due the the complexity of the roof. After agreeing to price and scope ,and many phone calls later to do the work, they came out weeks later. I had to call the owner, to get sales guy to come back with a crew to performed the testing. After the inspection, they contacted my general contractor, asking them to try and talk me into a complete roof. "It would be a benefit to both of them"? The general said that the home did not require a roof, and would not make the suggestion. It took weeks of calling after the inspection to get anyone to respond. Finally they showed up to the home, and tried to sell me the complete roof. They said it would look better? The roof was 9 years old with 50 year shingles on it. After trying to get a copy of the report, whit no luck doing so, they finally came back with and an estimate of needed repairs. The price was 3 times higher than other contractors. I decided to go with another reputable contractor. Once the roof was stripped in all of the areas they had identified needing repairs for the water testing, none of the identified issues were a problem. The bill was sent in at over $1300 for the inspection. When asked about the difference from estimate, I was told they had to special order a package of shingles to match color. Although unhappy with the entire experience, I agreed to pay the bill and asked for the shingles I paid for. The check was cash, no shingle were ever delivered. I would definitely not recommend this company.
Description of Work: Inspected roof for repairs. Estimated cost for testing 1200 prior to giving an estimate.

Response from JMS Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc.
We would like this opportunity to respond on the day of June 4th 2014. We sent out 4 men to above address. We performed a water test, keep in mind the square footage 9,712 sqft. So we are talking a massive area to inspect and go over. Not only did our guys walk the entire steep roof for total inspection, we also walked the entire attic space to see if there was water intrusion. We removed shingles from two valleys and installed new ones to the areas that were leaking. To my knowledge on the invoice we did not charge him for any shingles. The invoice was for time that we spent at the residents searching for water intrusion.
