I was NEVER EVER told that this was a special order piece of furniture. They had the bedroom suite sitting on their floor. They did not have a chest of drawers -- because I found out later that HE DID NOT CHOOSE TO CARRY this piece on his floor. He only allowed me to bring back the first piece because it was a floor model. I am stuck with 2 pieces of CHEAP FURNITURE THAT I AM TOTALLY UNHAPPY WITH... I HAVE HAD TO BRING THE NIGHT STAND BACK FROM CONCORD ON 2 OCCASIONS NOW AND STILL DO NOT HAVE THE NIGHT STAND -- I WAS TOLD THIS WAS FROM LEXINGTON FURNITURE BUT IT SHOWS MAYLAYSA ON THE PIECES OF FURNITURE. I HAVE TO KEEP THIS FURNITURE AND SELL IT ON EBAY OR CRAIG'S LIST BECAUSE APPARENTLY I AM A LIAR. THERE IS NO ROOM TO NEGOTIATE WITH THIS MAN -- HE IS THE OWNER AND WHAT IS POSTED STANDS AND HE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY IS THE TRUTH -- THEY DO NOT LIE -- AND THAT IS THE WAY IT IS. ** I ALSO WROTE MY CHECK TO ERMA HOLMAN FOR THE NIGHT STAND INSTEAD OF A GREAT FURNITURE PLACE -- WAS NOT SO SURE ABOUT THAT EITHER.**. Lesson well learned -- don't purchase any place that states ALL SALES FINAL --
Description of Work: purchased night stand off the floor. Noticed the wood around one drawers was very beat up .. the 2 young boys said it was just in the wood but my son did not like the condition on the night stand. I took it back to store and the said they would replace it with one in a box. At the time I was there I told them I would like to get the chest of drawers. The young boy (found out later it was the owners son) was to call me on Tuesday or Wednesday after he picked it up in High Point -- went by Thursday because I did not get a call and they had both pieces. I was just going to pick up the night stand and let my husband come back and get the chest of drawers on Friday but they young guy ask if I could go ahead and pay for it. I walked to the car to get my pocket book & paid with Discover. I ask him if the chest was too big for the area we wanted it -- could I return it? He stated yes. I told him that since THE OTHER MAN (now I know it is his dad)told me I could return the night stand I kinda figured I could. When the night stand was opened the top was damaged. The chest was too big to go on the wall I had intended it to fit. We were going to take both pieces back BUT when my husband tried to return them -- the owner David -- got loud with my husband and started pointing out the signs all over the warehouse showing all sales were fiinal. My husband call me and I spoke to David and told him what I was told. He had agreed to give me back my money less 25% and by the time I hung the phone up -- it was ringing. He called back and told me he had spoke to his son. HE said that I was a liar and I had twisted the entire conversation. He said the son made me pay for the chest. He said the son was NOT going to give me the night stand unless I agreed to pay for the chest (this was not even in question). He told me the furniture was mine. He would not take any piece of it back. He told me several times I was a liar. He is getting me the night stand to replace the 2nd damaged piece that I have gotten (this 2nd one after I was told that both pieces have been checked for damage).

One year later, had dark lines on the white sofa/loveseat. I thought they are normal. Also had few small ball point marks which would not go. Called warranty Ultra shield people and they promptly sent someone to clean. They then approved replacement of cushion and sent order to store. I followed up with store , in person, couple of times but was politely sent away using "I am waiting on...will let you know asap...' tactics. Two years passed nothing happened after few more calls. Now, the so-called leather is all flakey and we no longer call and relatives or friends home since they have no place to sit. Our 1800 dollar sofa's leather flakes can get attached to anything which touches. Now the white sofa is covered with velvet cloth ! I called the store several times and ultra shield warranty no longer honors any service since the issue is multi-location (service rep read the fine line on the warranty card). The store does not offer any help replacing, repairing or viewing the furniture. So much for a 'family owned' store. It should be named ' A WORST furniture place' Update : updated correct price paid. Filed a BBB complaint with no use. Beware from this 'family owned' shop.
Description of Work: Bought Sofa Set supposedly a leather one. Buying experience was fine, the usual negotiation, promise all kind of service. Store owner and others were polite and answered any questions. Also purchased 10 year warranty on it for $100, and purchased leather cleaning kit !
