Great. He showed up with 2 other movers- they moved some furniture around in house to prepare to put back on market. They also put my daughters new loft bed together for us. Two hour minimum but well worth for the amount of things they completed in time at our house. Will definitely use again on next move.

They did a really nice job. They were able to fit a lot of stuff in the truck to get it full. It was cheap. They charged me their hourly rate and were able to get the work done in two hours. There wasn't much work to it, but they did a very good job. I intend to use them for our next move, which will be a much larger job. I used to work for UPS and have been around a lot of packing services. I noticed they were very careful with their packaging services and would not hesitate to use them again, mainly for that reason. The movers were clean cut and courteous. We established an immediate rapport with them and they were really nice people.

Mr. Lloyd Benson and his assistant met me at my storage unit in Corneius. He was very prompt, in fact he called and said he could meet me 1/2 hour earlier and was there before the scheduled time. He unloaded my king-size bed from the unit and put it on his truck. They followed me to my home, unloaded the truck and began to reassemble the bed. He called me into the bedroom and informed me that all of the screws were not there with the bed and I would have to go to Lowe's and purchase additional bolts and nuts. He said he would return the next day to complete the job and wouldn't charge me anything additional. After a brief conversation (finding out exactly what hardware I needed to purchase), he stated that he would just go and purchase what was needed and return within the hour to complete the job. I thought to myself, this is really above and beyond the call of duty. Sure enough, they returned within the hour and reassembled the bed. He also told me that I needed to purchase slats which were also missing in order to safely sleep in the bed. He was disappointed that he wasn't able to completely reassemble the mattress and box springs as he said he had wanted to have the bed ready for us to sleep in that night. He never asked for reimbursement for the additional hardware he purchased. I am so impressed with this member of Angie's List. I am going to recommend his company to all of our friends. Lloyd Benson, owner of Amen Movers, provided excellent, professional service. I was so glad to find someone willing to take on a relatively small job of moving furniture around in my house. Lloyd was responsive to my initial inquiry and very eager to make the move a satisfying experience. The work was performed quicker than I would have expected and he made sure my things were handled with care. I'd highly reccomend Lloyd and his team!

My wife is selling her house and since she had a much better refrigerator in her house we decided to hire a mover to swap them before we put the house on the market. The houses were less than 15 miles apart or about 29 miles round trip. I hoped to get it done in two weeks, and I was flexible on the day of the week. They were the third call I made and the quote was $125. The first two quotes were both near $300 due to mandatory minimum charges, and weekend work would be even more. I called on Friday and we scheduled the move for Sunday at noon, with the understanding that he would call first. He called as promised and 2 movers arrived on time. One refrigerator was large enough that the doors needed to be removed, but they knew exactly what to do even though it had a water and ice dispenser on the door. One of the houses required the front door removed, but again they did it quickly and professionally. They wrapped each refrigerator in pads and plastic wrap, and secured each of them in the truck. Lloyd even pointed out that the compressor on one of the refrigerators was very dirty and at risk of overheating. Everything about them made me comfortable, and this could not have gone better. Both refrigerators are now running great. I especially like the way they carefully moved the refrigerators through the doors, even though it was a very tight fit. They did exactly what I asked for, and they did it at a very reasonable price. I plan to call them if we need help when we are ready to move everything out when the house is sold.

It was last minute, spur-of-the-moment. We found a washer and dryer and needed them moved that very morning! I called Lloyd and he was on it immediately. He showed up at the pick-up spot before I did, handled a very tough moving assignment very responsibly, loaded the appliances on his truck and installed the equipment in the home professionally. I couldn't have asked for more.

We found a very large (45" x 90") mirror and needed someone to take it off the wall, pack it up, move it to the home and install it. Lloyd's crew showed up promptly. They were very professional and careful in taking the mirror off the wall, wrapping it, packing it, loading it onto their truck and bringing it into the house. They installed it on the wall without any problems at all.

During some interior painting several months ago, my large and very heavy 3-pc wall unit was moved about 30and quot; out from the wall. When the painting was completed, I asked the painters not to put it back in place since I intended to re-connect my surround sound system as well as repaint the baseboards. When the time came to get it back into place, I decided to call a professional mover because I was concerned with possible damage to my home and possessions (and/or to a friend or neighbor!) as a result of over-tipping the bulky pieces and losing control. I consulted Angie's List and noticed that Amen Movers is located close to my home and had several positive reviews and A ratings. I called on a Saturday and spoke with Lloyd Benson and we set up an appointment for 8 a.m. Monday morning. Lloyd and a helper showed up right on time. They carefully maneuvered the pieces into place and then made several adjustments to compensate for an uneven height alignment. I appreciated Lloyd's attention to detail, his competent and careful handling of my furniture and his respectful attitude on the phone and while working in my home.

Lloyd Benson and his team helped our family move household belongings to a storage unit a year and 1/2 ago. He was available again when we needed them sorted into two shipments this month. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and careful concern for us was apparent all day. When we had trouble with a separate interstate mover that we had contracted, Lloyd was invaluable with information for us. We hadn't been aware that Amen Movers had an interstate moving license or we would have had them handle the whole thing. Definitely an "A" company!

We had found out about Amen Movers from a local UHaul store in the South Park area. We had contacted them on a Friday, they came out for an estimate on a Saturday and Sunday we were all moved in. This is the 3rd moving company we have used since we moved to Charlotte last year. They are by far one of the best movers we have dealt with. Very professional, friendly, on time and accurate estimates. The best rate for moving a piano that we have found. What I liked about the team was they treated the furniture as their own. If they realized the furniture was getting "stressed" out by the way they were handling it, they took the time to do it right and not just move it to get the job done. I highly recommend Amen Movers and will use them again.
