Daniel was great at showing us different options and making suggestions and helping us stretch our dollar to get the most bang for our buck. Daniel was also very easy to get in touch with and always professional. I was very impressed.

Fantastic! When I initially called for an estimate, Daniel was preparing to go out of town and said he would call me to set up an appt as soon as he was back. And he did just that. He came by at the end of that same week to look at my property. He explained what he recommended we do to solve the drainage/erosion problems we'd been having and gave me a ballpark figure on cost. The next day I received an email detailing the proposed work and cost estimate. His recommendations sounded good and we thought the price was very reasonable so we signed the estimate and faxed it back to him. Daniel fit us into his schedule within about three weeks. His crew did the work exactly as specified in the estimate. His brother managed the job and was very nice to work with, answering all questions and making sure the work was done as ordered. The rest of the crew was very efficient and got the job done in good time, even working through a little rain. When the job was complete we looked it all over together. The riverstones were quite large and you could still see some of the black sheeting underneath so I asked if he could add some more to fill in the gaps. He said he could do that the next day. The crew cleaned up beautifully before they left. The next morning, while I was out, Daniel came back and filled in the gaps of the riverstone with some more of a slightly smaller size. The end result is a beautiful hardscape/riverbed look. We are very pleased with the work and look forward to hiring them again for more landscaping work in the near future.

I was at work but I could see daily progress each day when I got home. When they finished the project they power washed the driveway and the areas where their equipment had been sitting. They left the place looking pristine.

Daniel came to give us an estimate and talked with us about what we wanted. He took the time to help us determine the best way to get the most for our money. After determining exactly what we wanted, Daniel took the information to work out an estimate. Within a few days, he called with the estimate and also emailed us the details. We chose Daniel to do the work and scheduled him to start the project within a couple of weeks. Daniel and his crew arrived on time and began work immediately. They prepped the area extensively, grading the area to be covered with pavers and putting in all the underlying materials. In spite of the extreme heat of the summer, they worked to complete the project as quickly and perfectly as possible. When the project was completed, we were completely delighted. The new backyard was just what we wanted. The pavers now give us the space to enjoy the outdoors. The fire pit opens up the backyard to activities even when the weather is generally too cool. We intentionally held off on filing this report until we had used the area for a few months, and we are just as happy now. I recommend Island Creek without reservation for any work of this type. Daniel and Jeremy did excellent work, and we now think of them as friends.

Daniel implemented exactly what he had specified in our contract while very graciously changing the color of the mulch (at our request) at the last moment. He and his crew were professional and courteous at all times and finished the job on time. We are extremely happy with our new landscaping and have received numerous compliments on Daniel's work. He returned within a few days with sketches of his ideas, which met all our needs within a budget we thought reasonable. Daniel returned our phone calls promptly and met with us at a time convenient for us. He warned us that he was quite busy and it would be at least 4-6 weeks, before he could get to us. He explained the scope of the work in detail, explaining why the timber wall had buckled. He prepared 2 estimates, one using timber and one using stone. We chose the more expensive stone (about $2,000 more) because it would enhance the value of the property and last forever. We had gotten other estimates and his seemed fair. It was probably 6 weeks, before they started. There were 3 laborers, who worked very hard and were very pleasant and even put up with the children's water guns, probably welcome on such hot days. Daniel was there most days, working with the others, even though his wife gave birth. The entire job took over 2 weeks. We were very satisfied.

Daniel responded in a timely fashion to my initial email inquiry. He arrived on time for our estimate appointment. He provided a written proposal/estimate within a few days, but explained he was fully booked for about 6 weeks. I thought he was worth waiting for, so asked him to put me on his schedule. At about 4.5 weeks he called on a Thursday and indicated he could get started on the following Monday. He and a helper arrived on time and worked steadily. When leaving the site for the day, they cleaned up behind themselves and left everything in order. He was patient with my perpetually inquisitive 4 year old neighbor. They finished the job the next day, leaving me with care instructions and a neat work site. This was following the Easter freeze, and Daniel thought a crape myrtle might be questionable. He said he would replace it if it did not leaf out properly. It didn't, and the replacement of superior quality was planted within a few days of my request. A++ service!!

It went excellent. From the first time he came out to give us an estimate he was very prompt and thorough. He sent us the estimate within a day or two and even gave us a website where we can go and review the plants. We really had no idea what we wanted except that it had to be low maintanence but colorful at the same time. He did exactly that and it came out beautiful. Once he started planting he realized that he would have to change some things around do to the spacing and maybe exchange some plants his change turned out more beautiful than his original plan. He even reseeded our front lawn for us. His pricing might appear to be a little on the high side but WELL WORTH IT!!!

Daniel came out and was very prompt in getting me an estimate for the work. He arrived when he said he would with one assistant. He was at the job the full first day and only part of the time on the following day and a half. There were a few things missed, but overall I think he did a great job. I was not at home when he finished to do a walk through.

The quality of plants and trees is very high and exactly the caliper that was discussed. Did a good job of cleaning up after work.

Made valuable suggestions relative to cost effective alternatives. Very good value for the cost. Communicated well the issues as they were discovered. Although my job was larger than what others might consider, I would recommend Island Creek for large or small jobs.
