Alan showed up for the first meeting on time. His price was very reasonable although he was not running a special at the time. When we agreed on the estimate, he made an appointment to take the measurements and discuss exactly how we wanted the railings done. Yesterday Alan and his crew showed up with the finished product as scheduled and this morning walking out to get the paper was the easiest I've had in several years with the new railings in place. They are EXACTLY what we wanted. I would recommend Alan Gilbert's work to EVERYBODY. And Alan is very personable, which is also a pleasure.

I did not go with them. They were just a little too pricey for what I wanted to spend at the moment. But they seemed like a great company. The customer service was really good. They got me the estimate and everything within a very reasonable time frame. They gave me two quotes, one for wrought iron and one for aluminium. They gave me two numbers. They quoted me $2800 for the iron fence and $2300 or $2400 for aluminium. That included two gates. It was just because of our personal finance we decided not to go. If we do end up getting a fence, we'll go with that company because they just seemed really on the ball and their customer service is great. I would recommend them in so far as that amount of interaction with them.

Alan was so friendly and provided great advice - even knowing we weren't going to use him because of the cost. He answered lots of questions and gave me his time. We really appreciate it!

I wanted a garden gate that would not only serve the purpose of a gate, but would also be a work of art. I found Alan with Iron Work Inc. on Angie's List and made an appointment. Alan showed up on time and worked with me to create the gate, drawing the design as we worked. We later met at his shop where he used iron samples to simulate the look and feel of the gate so that the design could be fine tuned. Afterwards, Alan sent a shop drawing for approval, then began making the gate. Along the way, Alan sent pictures of the gate as he was making it. The finished product is truly a work of art and is more beautiful than I ever dreamed.

I called for estimate, Iron Works responded, Rep. took measurements, gave firm price estimate, fabricated and installed by the promised date. The company was very professional and called during the fabrication period to keep me updated. When they completed the job the area was clean and neat. Recommend Iron Works very highly.

After obtaining two recommendations from an architect, checking Angie's List and looking on websites, I asked Iron Work and a competitor to propose. From the outset I was very impressed with Alan Gilbert who is the owner of Iron Work. He has excellent design skills, was familiar with every aspect of the gates and offered many options, assured me that it would meet all aspects of the code requirements for pool gates and was outstanding to deal with from a service perspective. Alan designed the gate and my wife and I visited his shop to finalize the details. We are very pleased with the gate which was customized to our requirements using heavy guage iron. Alan is truly a craftsman and was a pleasure to work with (he is readily accessible by both email and cell phone). While the price was more than the competition, the end result was well worth it.

WE HAVE WANTED WROUGHT RAILING SINCE WE MOVED IN 15 YEARS AGO. AND NOW, THE RAILING IS BEAUTIFUL. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RARE INSTANCES WHERE I ENJOYED PARTING WITH MY MONEY. ALL I CAN SAY IS I PHONED AND PHONED OTHER WROUGHT IRON COMPANIES AND EVEN GOT TO TALK WITH A COUPLE OF THEM ON THE PHONE, TO THE POINT I THOUGHT THERE MIGHT BE HOPE, BUT NONE OF THE OTHER COMPANIES EVER CAME OUT TO QUOTE OR EVEN LOOK AT WHAT WE NEEDED DONE.
