Stumpy's Tree Service

One of the best experiences we've ever had with any contractor. Arrived on a Saturday to see what we needed to have done and we had the quote on Monday. He came within a week or so of our approving the quote (while we were at work). When I got home there was not a speck of debris anywhere - just everything was done exactly like we wanted and it just looked clean and natural. We would definitely use again.

Interestingly, I'd given a friend a reference to use Stumpy's years ago based on Angie's List recommendations but I had not myself used them up to this point. When it became clear we needed a professional to remove trees, I called my friend to ensure she was happy with Stumpy's. She advised they'd used him in their former as well as their current home and had recommended him to others. With that, we called Bob Crane of Stumpy's Tree Service. He came out within a few days to review our needs and provide a quote. We let Bob fit us into his schedule since we weren't in immediate need. Bob came while we were out of town to do the work. He could remove the trees but our parked vehicle prevented him from pulling his stump grinder into the back yard and he had to return. He came back within a few days of our return home to grind out all of the stumps. He did a great, clean and complete job in both tree removal and stump grinding. He cleaned up all of the tree removal debris so well that, upon our return home, we weren't immediately aware he'd even been there, not until I noticed a much more open backyard and some new stumps. Bob did a great job for a very reasonable price and left a clean site when he left. I highly recommend Bob Crane and Stumpy's Tree Service.

They are the best by far. They are just awesome. They are prompt and know what they’re doing, and that’s a scary job.

We wanted several trees taken down along the fence line so we can put in an evergreen privacy screen. They arrived early on the scheduled day and got right to work removing four large pines, 1 large gum, and a number of smaller gum and pine saplings. They really know what they're doing, working quickly and efficiently while being careful of surroundings. They cleaned up and raked the lawn to remove debris and hauled everything away. I couldn't ask for a better job or a more reasonable price.

We have used Stumpy's several times over the past7 years. They have always done excellent work...from start to finish. We are going to call on them again for tree and branch removal.

Stumpy's cut down 9 trees and 'skinned' 8 more for us. They arrived right on time, were very professional, and cleaned up really well. Very pleasant to work with compared to many of the other tree companies we contacted. Great company.

Bob came out to provide an estimate exactly when he said he would. He walked us through our yard helping us choose what trees to cut and which to leave. He was honest & didn't just mention cutting to make money. We requested he come out to do the job on short notice to accommodate another project we were working on, which he did. His crew arrived early, was extremely efficient, no damage caused and left things nice and clean when they left. He was reasonably priced, did a great job and his team were very nice people. Definitely recommend his services.

They called and brought us a load of chips which we had requested, free of charge. Then, in the afternoon they carefully removed the trees without damaging anything and ground them up and left the chips for our neighbors, We were extremely satisfied with the job they did and to top it of Bob and Nicole Crane even sent us a Thank You note. I can highly recommend Stumpy's.

Bob and his crew did a great job. We had several trees/stumps removed and others limbed up. Bob is an excellent communicator and remembers what you plan to do and will follow through. We will definitely use them again.

They were very professional and very congenial. They cleaned up after themselves and everything went well. They came and did what they said they were going to do.

Bob arrived while I was working. It was between rain days. He cut down the trees and removed the brush. Placed all the wood together in a neat fashion. Very professional and neat. The cleanup was great. Would use again. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!

I appreciate the fact that the owner, Bob, is present on every job rather than just farming it out. He takes pride in his work and his reputation. Their price was about the same as other companies but Bob was more personable than the other guys. Since we wanted to be present during the work, he willingly worked around our schedule. After we had the troublesome trees removed, we had Bob come back a month later to walk our property and discuss which trees needed attention. Subsequently, we had about 20 trees pruned or limbed up. On both visits, they did the work neatly and professionally, and I would recommend them.

Lowest of 3 bids I received for the work. Arrived promptly and crew went to work immediately. Bob stayed with crew the whole time, oversaw work and cut trees closest to the house. All tress dropped where he said the would be felled in some narrow areas. Dumped mulch from grinding of piles where I wanted it. Cleaned up thoroughly. All crew were courteous and professional. From time of estimate to completion was a day.

Bob Crane is the owner of Stumpy's Tree Service, and takes a personal approach to each customer's . We appreciated the quick, courteous, and efficient work and clean up. Trusted this company to one to home to do their work when we were out of town. Happy with overall experience with tree service from this company. Will only deal with them from now on.

This is the second time I have used this company and have been pleased both times. Bob has responded promptly both times I've contacted him, gotten the work done quickly and thoroughly, and charged a reasonable price. This last job involved removing 2 or 3 very large trees that had already been cut down in addition to cutting down and removing an additional 10-13 dead trees in the same wooded area (combination of large and small trees). He also limbed up one tree in the wooded area that was leaning toward the house and limbed up 3-4 trees on the lake side to improve the view. I was not there when the work was done but still felt extremely confident that it would be done as we had discussed and I was not disappointed.

I heard about them from a friend of mine who had used them previously, and their service was excellent.

The work was done efficiently and professionally and for the exact price quoted. The crew cleaned up and removed all debris - overall a very good experience.

I would not call this company again nor would I recommend him to anyone.

Bob and his crew were quick and efficient. They removed a tree that was in a tricky position without causing any damage to the surrounding trees. They cleaned up so well that, after they left, you could barely tell they were even there. Stumpy's will likely be the only tree service that I call in the future.

I would definitely recommend them. They were here on time. They told me what they were going to do. They cleaned up and you would have never known that they were here. I had a huge oak tree and this guy had to take out a part of my fence to drop that tree. He knew exactly how to drop that tree and he dropped it exactly where he said he was going to drop it. It did not even touch my fence or anything else. I was thoroughly impressed. I had got four different quotes and they were the lowest. I have recommended them and the lady at the end of the road has used them several times and she is so grateful that I recommended them to her.
