Mike's Electrical Services

I set up an appointment with Mike for Saturday October 1, 2016 to look at one of our ceiling fans. We were originally scheduled for Saturday 9/24 but had to reschedule due to a conflict on my end. When I spoke to Mike again on the 22nd to reschedule, we confirmed Saturday 10/1 between 8:00 - 8:30 am as the new appointment. On 10/1 Mike's team did not show up and even after leaving a voicemail, I did not hear from him. Disappointed to have experienced this given the company's rating. We will be using another provider in the future.

It was actually Carbon Monoxide detectors that where going off, one of them were defective. They replaced the Carbon Monoxide detector. The pricing was very, very reasonable. We have an electrician for a life time now. We cant believe how great they were.

The crew was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, thorough, and efficient. And very pleasant! The work was done as requested and the price for the job was $600 less than a competitor's quote. I will definitely call Mike's again for any additional electrical work that I need to have done.

I called Mike on Wednesday and he was able to schedule my work for the next day. Tim and Joe called me ahead of time to let me know they would be a little bit later than the scheduled time, and when they arrived they began work immediately. The guys were polite and professional, and patiently made multiple adjustments to ensure I was happy with the length of each pendant light before completing the installation. Mike's guys were great, and I'd gladly use them again, and recommend them!

Contacted Mike's Electrical Service twice, once on 11 Aug 2016, and again on 20 Aug 2016. He never troubled himself to respond.

Mike wasn't able to come out this time, but sent one of his guys in his place. Overall satisfied. Just want others to be aware that they charge once they begin traveling to your residence. In our case, it was an extra hour added to our overall bill. Caught us off guard. Just would have liked to know before hand.

Great knowledgeable technicians, conscientious and inventive, Mike's crew did everything asked of them, which involved solving some problems created by the atypical nature of some of the exiting wiring. I could not have asked for more. Fine guys as well, even my sometimes finicky cat liked them.

With all the great reviews I thought I would give him a call for an estimate on replacing/upgrading a panel and possibly the service itself. I spoke with him around lunch time on June 21 and he confirmed he would come to Statesville on June 22 @ 4pm. I text him the address and that he would be meeting with someone else as I had to work the evening. Well, the time came and I got word that he was a "NO CALL, NO SHOW". This is not acceptable and as it goes, "First impressions do say a lot about a person". Well, Mike is no longer going to be on my list and he has lost out on a good bit of work. Not my loss.

Mike is a super nice guy. Came after hours to give me a quote and was very honest and up front. He came when he said he would and finished when he said he would. Lights look wonderful and they did a decent job of cleaning up after they were done. Can't ask for much more than that when it comes to having work done.

Mike sent out 2 guys the afternoon I called. They performed the work for the quoted price. They were pleasant and professional. They found the problem with my outdoor outlet near my koi pond and repaired it. I'd highly recommend them.

I called Mike and he was able to work me in SAME DAY by coming out and the job himself since his crew had already been called out to other jobs. I cannot say anything more than Mike is a professional. He worked for a long time to find what ended up being a simple fix to a complex issue. I would call him out again to my house or business in a heartbeat. I am glad I found him and his company today. Thank you Mike!

Great service provider. This is the 2nd time we have used Mike's Electrical Service. Both times we used them the technicians were fast and professional.

Excellent and quick service. Electrician was very helpful and did a nice job explaining what he was doing. Answered all my questions and left the place as clean as when they arrived. Fair warning: if you are 'out of their range', then there is an additional 'truck fee'. I don't recall Mike telling me that up front, so be sure to ask before scheduling the appointment. Other than that unexpected additional charge, I was pleased with the service and professionalism of the electrician and tech.

Mike was on vacation but the electrician that he sent was excellent. They explained the problem which was very educational.

Mike and his team are THE BEST!! We've used a number of other electricians in the past but Mike will be our only electrician going forward. He's very professional, honest and polite and does a top quality job. He finished exactly when he said he would and there weren't any surprise charges. He did such a great patchwork job that we don't feel the need to rush to hire a painter - the ceiling work is barely noticeable! I can't say enough good things about Mike's Electrical Services other than "Hire Them!!"

It went great. Mike was able to come out sooner that I had expected to give us an estimate. He was on time and very polite. He gave us an estimate of $950.00. I have not had electrical work done in several years but the price seemed fair to me. My wife and I were just happy to have a contractor that was professional and that actually arrived when they said they would. Thank you Mike!!! We set up a time for him to return a few days later and once again he was on time. This time he had his guys with him. They were both very professional as well. They moved our furniture out of the room and covered what could not be moved. We also decided to have them install a new electrical box and dimmer for the lights. This increased the price slightly. Originally we were going to use an existing electrical box. Once they were done they vacuumed and put everything back in its place. Everything looks and works good. We will certainly call Mike again in the future. Thank you.

Mike went above and beyond getting the issues fixed

12/23/2015, home electrical problems lights, TV going on and off. 9:00 am. 12/23/2015, Called power company, their end was good, possible meter base. 11:00 am. 12/23/2015, Called Mike's Electrical Service, told them of the problem. 11:30 am 12/23/2015, Mike is at my house about two hours later, base not the problem, it was 39 year old electrical panel. 12/24/2015, Mike shows up 9:30 am. installs new panel finished around 1:30 pm. I was without power for about four hours on Christmas Eve. Great job, on time, very professional. Would recommend Mike to anyone having home electrical problems.

Service was some the same day I calles

I called Mike based on good Angies list rating. He was at my house in an hour and it took him a few moments to find the issue. He fixed it and also check other mystery switches that I have been wondering about for years. He checked them all and knew what they were for and proceeded to educate me a little. Mike is a very professional and kind person, knowledgable and honest.

I called Mike mid afternoon and he was at my house in 2 hours. Extremely grateful for his quick response. Very polite and helpful. Will definitely use Mike for any future electrical repairs. Awesome work.
