Our HVAC units are down behind the deck. All of a sudden the A/C stopped working over the summer. Our lawn care company had been blowing grass into the heat pump and A/C units. They came out and checked the units and told us what the issue was. They are really good at answering questions and we have been very happy with them.
Description of Work: We've had very good service from them. They've been out a couple times.

They quoted a $65 diagnostic fee and sent a young technician to my home, the technician arrived promptly. After a quick check, he said he had to go back to the office for a part(fan), and left. He came back and awhile later told me the fan was bad but unit not working and he thought the pump was leaking and he had a few options. This is when he told me that it was up tp $600 "so far". I then called the office and spoke with David Settle, and told him I wasn't comfortablle with the way things were going and I put a stop to the proceedings. He started arguing, and insisted I pay for the kids labor. When I reminded him of the $65 fee, he said he would accept $190, and he felt he "lost his a** at my house". I thought I was being more than fair(and cutting my losses) when I told him I would compromise and pay $100, and he got angry but said ok.. After the kid left, I noticed that he left my uniit dis-assembled. When I called back asking them to put the old fan back where it belonged, the company again put David Settle on the phone. He not only refused, he berated me. He was hostile, insulting, and maybe even a little threatening. When I told Mr. Settle I was going to post a review on Angie's list and possibly take him to court he said I had "jewed him down to a hundred bucks" and I should "do what I gotta do".So basically I paid them $100 to vandalize my home Live and learn, I am writing this review so hopefully I can save another homeowner the headache and indignation of making a mistake with this company. This is not the kind of people anyone wants to do business with.

The main fan motor in our old heat pump burned out. Settle came same day and replaced the fan motor to get us air conditioning for the weekend. Discussed future options with David Settle. No pressure. He gave us several possible paths. We chose high efficiency heat pump. Ordered was placed, and unit arrived following Monday. Workers arrived early, worked hard and did a great job. In addition, they insulated some of the duct work which eliminated condensation problem. The new unit works great. Can't say enough great things about David Settle and his company.
Description of Work: Provided temporary cooling by replacing the main fan motor in our old heat pump. Installed new heat pump. Insulated duct work.
