I added a 1000 sq st addition to my home in Cary NC. 500 sq ft garage and 500 sq ft Master, mud room ,master bath Rob and his son Ben were terrific, this was all during covid. He came in right at budget he quoted. Every sub contractor he allowed me to pay directly and chose a different sub contractor if needed. Very responsive, good work, and honored the covid guidelines. Rob and Ben Rouse have done multiple projects at my home and we are very happy with the results. The work includes replacement of deck, concrete sidewalk, crawl space cleanup and vapor barrier, inside trim and wainscoting, whole house paint, garage floor and more. Rob and Ben are always professional, his staff and work crew is always on time and does good work and leaves the premises clean and tidy at the end of the day, each day. Rob's quotes have always been reasonable. We pay the sub-contractors directly and pay Rob a contractor's commission. All the projects have always come in under the expected budget. I would certainly use Rob's services again for the next project.

I hired R.B Rouse LLC and I was very happy with the outcome. The workers on the job kept the work area clean. They adhered to safety and COV19 protocols. We had this company complete a third floor and build a wood fireplace on our back porch. They take great pride and making sure you are happy and provide honest prices. That is hard to find in the contracting world! If we had any issues, questions, or concerns they were quickly addressed. We would hire them again and in about a year or so we will be looking at upgrading our kitchen. I would give them a n opportunity to earn their business and trust.

Rob and his crew were on time and the quality of the job matched the price I paid. There were some issues through the project, but worked things out. No real surprises like any projects of this magnitude. Rob supervised the entire project which doesn't seem to happen anymore. I am happy with my garage and would trust him if I ever need him again.

Rouse was great. I needed a new retaining wall, and a new concrete slab. I was sure it would take a week and be a nightmare. NOPE. Rouse came in and knocked it out in a day and half. Cost me less than I thought it would too.

Hired Rouse & Rouse to do a driveway expansion. Very satisfied with the result. They were professional and completed the job in 2 days. It has been a few weeks and it looks great! The original quote was for 3000psi concrete, and they agreed to change it to 4000psi the day before the concrete was poured at a very reasonable price.

Great customer service. The job was completed quickly and correctly . They also fixed a couple issues they came across with no extra cost.

Pros: - Good communication at beginning and middle of project - Resourced brick to match house very well - On time and Rob drove the timeline well - Overall satisfied with the building that was constructed - Masonry work (brick exterior) looks very good - When changes were requested, Rob was very accommodating Cons: - Multiple concrete driveway issues. First issue addressed but incorrect concrete used. Rob assured me in-person while we were looking at the concrete that it was correct. He either lied or dismissed my question about the incorrect concrete. I had to call the concrete company that delivered to verify it was indeed the wrong concrete. - I now have a section of my driveway that is incorrect concrete, a couple large cracks, and a deteriorating edge. Also an improper slope at door which pushes water into building during large rains, but I have not pushed for this last issue to be fixed. - Rob said he would fix the incorrect patch that was poured, but i have been attempting for approximately 1 month to get a predicted time when work can be performed. I have supplied a lot of detail including when issues were noticed with pictures. Cannot get communication back about when work will be performed. Has stated twice that I would be communicated back to, and this continues to not happen. - There have been a few times incorrect information was told to me. If you can't trust a contractor, you shouldn't use them, and I'm struggling to get adequate communication now that the burden is on the contractor. For these two major reasons, I'm rating this company low. It is a shame, because a lot of the work on the building went quite well, and the project started out strong.

The concrete work turned out well. There was some start and stop action, but overall things went well and it looks good. The bottom front step was damaged a bit. This contractor said someone would come and patch it. As of today 03/05/17, it has not been done. Potential customers should be explicit about what they want. We told this general contractor that water comes underneath the door to the utility room, which is adjacent to the back parking area. We were told that the concrete would be poured in such a way as to cause the water to be diverted, but that was not done. We also told this contractor that we wanted a new carport built over the new parking area that would replace the old patio. After the parking pad was completed, we asked this contractor about the carport we mentioned during the first site visit. An initial estimate of $7K (shed roof) to $10K (A roof to match house roof) was given. We had just spent just under $8K so we decided to get some other estimates. During the second estimate we found out that we should have started with the carport build before the pouring of the concrete. That contractor estimated $20K and suggested cutting into the newly poured concrete for the post footings. The other option would be to put the carport roof support on the edge of the carport which requires more expensive beams. I don't know what to think about this experience. Meanwhile, we are awaiting another estimate.
