Unfortunately, David Iezzi is not a person to be trusted and anyone considering doing business with him or his respective companies (i.e. Iezzi Custom Homes, Inc., and/or D-Pek, Inc.) are hereby cautioned if as potential customers you are in the process of deciding whether or not to proceed with him in building your home or undertaking a renovation of one. We as homeowners, who employed Iezzi to build our own home, are sorry we chose him in 2015 to create our summer home in Cullowhee, NC. As a result of our poor choice in contractors, we were forced to sue Iezzi because of fabricated invoices and over-billings. It has now been proven that he did, indeed, totally fabricate invoices and try to pass them off as legitimate costs incurred. The good news for us is that after battling Iezzi for nearly two years in legal proceedings and arbitration, in May 2018 Iezzi was found responsible for Deceptive Billing Practices and a judgment of $214,456 was entered against him in Jackson County, NC. This amount included the awarding of treble damages to us by the arbitrator; appropriate guidelines in cases where Deceptive Billing Practices are proven.
