Description of Work: These folks were fabulous, and I'd had a horrendously bad experience with Suburban Propane, so I did my research this time and went on reviews/word of mouth. I contacted them at a busy time of year, and though they were actually booked pretty solidly, they came out to my house *after hours* to install a new tank. The guys who did the install were friendly and professional, even at the end of a really long workday, and when the equipment used to lower the tank into place dinged in a bit of my gutter, one of them showed up a few days later to repair it. | |Their prices are fair -not "fair for the huge propane businesses that treat their customer base like a racket they're running," but ACTUALLY really good prices. And I've had a fill since my initial install & fill, so I feel comfortable saying there's not a bait-and-switch going with a nice first-fill price to lure you in, after which it jacks up 300%. | |My only small complaint is that I got a bill for the full amount instead of the payment plan I had requested on my contract, but compared to the h*** I was going through with my last propane company, that barely even registers as a blip on the radar. Unless and until Hunter gets bought out by a big national chain wanting to capitalize on the good reputation they've built (as I understand happened with Carolane), I'm a customer and a big fan.
