Reset breaker on unit, third time they had to come out for same problem; It took 5 mins and they charged each time $79; Would not give a definite solution, just said they could replace two parts(totaling over $700) and it would take two weeks to get but wouldn't guarantee that would fix the problem. The last time we asked them to come out they didn't even show up and the problem happened again a few days later and they told us to call someone else. Terrible experience!

Less than 1 year after the provider replaced the outside unit for our central AC system, a part stopped working making the entire system shut down. I contacted them to replace the part since it should be covered under warranty. They acknowledged that it should be covered under warranty. After 3 separate appointments which they failed to show up to and a conversation with the phone receptionist who recommended only that I make another appointment, I am thoroughly disgusted with this company. I cannot make a strong enough warning to anyone considering this company, they are the most unprofessional company I have ever EVER worked with. I moved into my current house September of 2013. Shortly after moving in one of the heat pumps was non functional and had to be replaced (I'll call it HP 1 from now on). I worked with my Home Warranty Company (Old Republic) to replace HP 1 and in doing so I invited several contractors to the house to give me an estimate of the cost to replace the faulty system. Air Serv was one of the companies that gave an estimate to replace the system. Coincidentally, Air Serv is the A/C company that the previous owner used to install the second Heat Pump (I'll call it HP2). While going over the routine information that A/C companies discuss, the representative that came to the house, Emily, showed my wife and I a copy of the warranty for HP 2. I'm very meticulous when it comes to keeping records and for the sake of having that warranty information in my files I asked for a copy of it. Emily replied that she would be able to send a copy of the warranty through email. I ended up using Carolina Air to replace HP1 so I didn't have much contact with Air Serv after the house call in which they provided an estimate. The next time I asked for the information was over the phone in November. During the conversation I was asked for my email address. I gave my email address over the phone and expected to receive a copy of the warranty. It never arrived. Over the following 4 months I called three more times, requesting the same warranty information. Each time I calmly explained my situation and asked for the same information. Finally on March 18th, I called and explained the situation to the receptionist, who happened to be Emily. She apologized for the inconvenience and said that she would contact me within 24 hours. After waiting 24 hours and not receiving a call, I called back and asked for an update. Emily told me that in order to put the warranty for HP2 in my name she contacted Goodman and that it hadn't been updated yet. She told me that I could check this information by going to Goodmanmfg.com. At that point I asked whether or not I would receive a copy of the warranty that she showed me when she conducted the estimate at my house. She then proceeded to deny that she had ever shown me any warranty information relating to HP2. By now I was getting a little frustrated with what felt like the "run around game". I'm a Captain in the Army and I'm used to navigating the bureaucracy that some associate with federal organizations. After contacting Goodman over the phone I was told that I would need to mail in the serial numbers for the Heat Pump and Air Handler, the first page of the closing documents, and a copy of the extended warranty if I had it in my possession. At that point I called Air Serv back in order to request the serial number for my air handler. I figured a quick phone call would be faster than accessing the air handler which was located in the attic. To my surprise, I received the following message. "The party you are trying to reach is blocking your calls." I've never seen that degree of unprofessional behavior before. What type of customer service policy ignores the patient requests of a customer over the course of 4 months and then blocks my calls. I could possibly understand if I had been aggressive, used inappropriate language or called incessantly but an average of one phone call per month hardly warrants this drastic response from Air Serv.
Description of Work: The previous home owner utilized Air Serv of Sandhills to install a 1.5 Ton, 13 Seer Heat Pump and corresponding Air Handler. I don't have any complaints about the functionality of the unit installed. My grievance is with the untimely, inaccurate and unprofessional manner in which the company treated me when I attempted to transfer the warranty from the previous home owner to myself. Ultimately after 4 months of politely asking for the warranty, Air Serv blocked my calls without any provocation.

For the protection of former, current and potential customers, no documents, to include warranties on existing equipment with personal information of another person, can be given out. Warranty information that needs to be updated with the current homeowner information must go through the equipment manufacturer. Goodman was contacted by Aire Serv of the Sandhills to update and change the existing equipment warranty. Goodman maintains this information and it can be obtained at Goodmanmfg.com or by contacting a Goodman representative. We appreciate your understanding that we must maintain the privacy of our customers and cannot give information of a past or current customer to a third party.

Replaced a 3 ton 13 SEER heating and AC unit. |They installed a $350 plus foam "concrete pad" that was not needed, and some property was stolen from my car at same time they were at my residence.

I was going to have them install a new motor, but they didn't because I learned that the furnace was still under warranty. However, the technicians were punctual, professional, and honest which I appreciated.

Tune-up of furnace and A/C. Absolutely great! The phone contacts were wonderful and the service professional was just that. Will use these people every year. Price of basic service was $79, but we needed parts.

Called, they were here the same day--in just a few hours. Very professional, ! Cleaned the unit. When they left it was cooling, The next morning it had stopped working .I called they promptly came out, rechecked everything and recharged the unit--it had a leak. Unit is very old and they provided us with several replacement options.

I was very pleased with the service, and the response from the company. Both the ladies in the office when trying to locate the dispatch from the warranty service, and the technician who serviced our unit were polite and helpful. I had read bad reviews about going through a warranty service like we had, but we couldn't afford not to at that point, especially if the unit needed replacing. Thankfully, Air Serv proved to be a good decision and worked out very well for us. And I think I've found a company I can work with in the future for our home maintenance on the HVAC systems. Description of Work: We just bought a house, and within a few days, discovered an issue with the upstairs AC unit. Going through the Home Warranty service, Aire Serv was dispatched. There was a mix-up in paperwork initially I think from the warranty company, but a call to Aire Serv directly got it squared away very quickly and I was scheduled. The tech (Abe) was prompt and professional. He handed me his business card first thing when he arrived (I don't think anyone has ever done that before when I've had service.) He showed me several things about our newly inherited system, and when he located the problem (which had been due to poor maintenance on the previous owner's part), he explained it to me and showed me the burned out part. It was a quick fix thankfully. I just had to pay the service call, and the warranty took care of the rest. But because of the thoroughness of the tech, I felt comfortable enough to go ahead and get an annual maintenance contract with them set up right away for future work (which for 2 systems cost me roughly $250 for the year).

The work was very good. The owner and technician were wonderful. They explained the problem and keep me informed while they had to order the part. The service was outstanding. I appreciate it because it was not a critical need and only a minor inconvenience. I really appreciate their detail to service and to making their customer happy. I would gladly use them again.

Description of Work: I bought a groupn for the Aire Serv company located out of Zebulon NC. They did a fall service. I was happy with the fast scheduling the Sevice Tech was on time and called about 15 mins before his arrival. When he got to my home he put papers on his shoes as not to dirty my floors. I really appreciated that. He did a thorough test and service on my system, made recommendations, gave me some tips and then left. I would use them again .

The technician was on-time, friendly, and competent. He was respectful of my time and my property, and the service was complete in exactly one hour, as promised. He recommended one additional service, but I refused, as I don't plan to stay here long enough for it to pay off. He wasn't pushy about it.

Superb service. Can't say enough good things about our technician (Trey Mills) and the company in general. Trey gave us very honest assessments of both units when he came for his first visit. He worked with our home warantee company with no issues to determine the payment plan. For the actual unit replacement, he was punctual, worked very quickly, and is just a nice guy we are very comfortable having in our home. For his annual maintenance visit, he reviewed each coverage plan and was honest about what would work best with our home warantee. We will be moving soon and renting our house, and worked out a long-term servicing plan when we have renters in the house. I wouldn't think of trusting another company after we move.
Description of Work: Semi-annual maintenance of both upstairs and downstairs heat/AC units. Also, Trey Mills replaced our entire downstairs air conditioning unit (split system heat pump and vent system) in July, 2011. The $169.99 was for one year of maintenance - two visits, inspecting both units. The first year of maintenance on our new downstairs AC unit was free.

The service was great overall. They showed up a few minutes early, were very courteous and respectful. They did a thorough job and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. They were some of the best people that I’ve worked with and I would recommend them to anyone!

The service was absolutely wonderful overall. The job was expensive, but since then, we’ve saved at least 50% on each bill. They’ve followed up and have been great to work with overall! I’d recommend them.
