We have them on contract. They will be coming again to do more work for us. It's excellent. They came when say they would come. They communicate very well. Price was very reasonable compared to others.

Extraordinary service with decent prices. It was like a ballet of five athletic men with one conductor. Amazing. Caring. Respectful. Timely. Simply cannot say enough about this crew. They worked the entire day with such a great and caring attitude. Cleaned up and poof were gone.

The estimator came out within a few days of calling the office and we got the crew scheduled to come out within 2 weeks. Our project wasn't urgent, so we didn't mind a short wait. On the agreed date, the crew showed up around 11:30am and finished by 1pm. They cleared everything the estimator had tagged and even got one small dead tree that he had missed. The guys were prompt, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They even took extra care to avoid hitting a wire fence with one of the tall trees that had to come down. The price was right and everyone was professional. I will definitely call them again when I need more tree work done!

There were four or five workers that came out. They were good. They completed the work in a timely manner. They left the work area good and cleaned up. The price was reasonable.

Work was completed withing 24 hours of the quote. Once work began, it was complete within 4 to 5 hours. They did a great job!

The trees were @ the edge of a wooded area behind our house that had the possibilty of falling on the house and power lines. Before they started, we talked about where the trees were to fall. some were approx. up tp 60-70 feet tall. They were very careful not to damage anything. I could tell they were very experienced and knew what they were doing. Some of the trees had to come down in pieces. My neighbor came over and was also impressed with how they were doing the job, so he had them trim 2 very tall maple tree which were hanging over his house. He was very pleased with their work. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again.

They cut one tree down-grinding the stump and clearing up mess.

Even though Mr. Epperson, could not meet my needs, he offered to locate and recommend a reliable source in my area. That level of followup is almost nonexistent outside of Angie's list participants.

This was an efficient flawless operation. The pines were sliced horizontally, cut into sections that were hoisted to a cleared area. Side branches were removed leaving only massive trunk segments. Branches were shredded and chipped and tree trunk segments loaded onto a transport truck. The shrubs that were removed were transplanted, driveway swept and all debris carted off our property. In 5 hours, the job was complete. Our front yard looked as if the massive tree removal had never happened. Dale's 6 man (?) crew worked flawlessly and continually. I had major reservations about a crane backing uphill and around and through the narrow design of our driveway. Paul Bakke, the crane operator, did a phenomenal job. He selectively placed the crane 'outriggers' (stabilizer arms) so to minimalize garden / shrubbery damage. In retrospect, he was the main person executing the removal....carefully extricating the cut tree sections, guiding them above and through surrounding trees and into tight areas to be further cut into movable sections. This is the second time we have used Epperson's Tree Service. The previous time was for emergency removal of 3 oaks in Dec 2011. Two trees were leaning precariously over our tool shed and the other towards our house. We were about to leave for a Christmas vacation with the family. Despite being new customers, Dale quickly scheduled us so we could leave our home with peace of mind. I was negligent in not reviewing his company back then. Minor complaint: two ruts in our 'natural' lawn from the crane (unavoidable...hey, it's a multi-ton vehicle). I had to say something adverse. Still a PERFECT JOB. My other comments: getting used to all the additional light coming into the front of our home; not having to do a daily 'needle removal' sweep of the driveway; no more worry about the top-heavy pines falling; and husband missing his bi-weekly climb to clean the gutters :-). Much praise and recommendation for Dale and his crew and Paul and his crane. We have used the company twice and with our intense tree environs, will definitely use them all again.

Dale and his crew brought in a very large crane in order to accomplish these rather challenging removals. It was a bit nerve-wracking for me because they had to place the crane in our driveway then extend it over our house to reach the trees in our backyard. The crane operator hoisted Dale up to the top of each tree then he would work his way down a bit, secure a section to the crane then cut it off. The crane would then take each section over the trees in front of our home and lower them down into the street. There, Dale's crew would cut them down into smaller sections and run them through the chipper. Once the work was complete, they did a great job cleaning up. They even took a leaf blower to our roof! The entire operation took just over 5 hours. Dale and his crew where prompt, courteous, and very professional. To say that I was impressed with their work would be an understatement. Highly recommend!

Pretty well a crew came and knocked it out in an hour. They miss one little branch but came back and got it. I did nt realize how easy they could make it so with that the 255 may be a bit high especially compared to the work other contractors did mulching, sodding, window washing.

Arrived with a five man crew and a huge shredder. Everyone knew what job to do and went right to work. All of the cut trees and trimmings were shredded and disposed of. Dale was entertaining as he climbed the big trees. They made sure we had input on how much to cut or thin from each tree. They were efficient, safe, quick, and left our property looking clean and neat. We will be calling them in the future.

We were pleased with the work. Good prices. Fast work. Two were large and close to the house but they cut them down without damaging any of our property. They cleaned up so nicely that you couldn't tell they had cut one tree down. No mess. Just the stump.

Contacted Dale to come out to inspect several very large trees that looked like they maybe should be removed and I wanted to have a spruce tree that had been topped by a previous owner removed and the stump ground. Dale arrived as scheduled inspected the trees that I was concerned with and he agreed they looked bad explaining that white pine take a beating in the winter but that the trees were healthy. Dale gave me an estimate for removing the Spruce and grinding the stump and chipping up the tree. As we are only there part time we fit into his schedule when we were not present. I confirmed with a phone call that the work had been done and mailed him a check. Next time we were at the house we found that he had done an excellent job.

After receiving what I considered to be a very fair bid for removing a large dying tree in front of my home, I hired Dale to do the work. The Epperson crew descended on my home at 3:00 pm. They rolled into the neighborhood with chipper trucks, mini track hoe, dump truck, crane and a crew of about 8 guys. They quickly set up their equipment, removed the tree one section at a time with the crane lowering each section to the street where the guys on the ground quickly stripped the limbs, chipped them and loaded the large logs into the dump truck. When a neighbor came over to ask why I was removing the tree, one of the men in the tree noticed the conversation. After he was back on the ground he disappeared and then showed back up and told me he had spoken with the neighbor about the tree and explained its diseased condition. I was very impressed with the fact that he took the initiative to make sure my neighbors weren't upset with me removing the tree. The rest of the crew was amazing as well. They left things spotless! The only damage on my property was one 4" branch on a butterfly bush that was broken off! One of the truck rolled over a curb and messed up a small piece of ground on a neighbor's property and these guys made sure it was back in top shape before they left. Everything was cleaned up and the crews gone by 5:30pm! 2.5 hours of awesomeness. Will call them in the future and have already recommended them to 2 neighbors!

Today Dale climbed up much higher on those same 8 pine trees he worked on last year, cutting more branches that were much higher up off and then swung from the first tree to the one next to it like a monkey as he worked on each tree one right after the other. He also cut down a pear tree which had had fire blight last year and his assistant did a beautiful job of artfully trimming a few smaller fruit trees. They also thinned out some big bushes and Dale did some strategic trimming of branches on a Red oak and the big Magnolia tree in my front yard that he'd worked on last year. Not only did they get rid of the branches but they raked away all the small stuff. So when they left, my yard was neat as a pin! I obviously think he does terrific work as I've used him twice. In fact of all the contractors I've used from Angie's list (painters, handymen and tiling contractors) the quality of his work overall and my experience overall with Epperson's Tree Service was stellar. The others weren't even in the ball park. I guess that is to be expected. The top 20% in any industry do 80% of the good work and Epperson's Tree Service is definitely up there among Arborists.

I called Dale in mid-August. Dale returned my call promptly and came out to our rental property AND home to give us an estimate. We agreed to move forward with both jobs. The job on our rental property was performed September 4th with no problem and we were very satisfied. We needed to have a large tree removed as well as some brush from our home. We had to call Dale to remind him about the second job. He had forgotten about it so scheduled the tree removal in early October. He never showed. In mid-October Dale was left a phone message and was spoken to in person about the work at our home. He never returned the call so we contracted with another firm. We were surprised to see Dale show with a crew on November 25th to remove the tree. There was no notice...he just showed up. When he was told we had contracted with another firm he just left. No apology - no nothing. Something is wrong with this business. Communication is lousy.
