rt I am a retired concrete professional with over 45 years experience in concrete placement in a wide range of professional applications of concrete from smallest to largest construction worldwide. This was a modernly sized one day concrete job at my retirement home and I have used this company before as they are closest and most convenient for me. They delivered a high quality product, on time and the project went well. The recurring problem is now with this pour and in the past the simple fact they cut me short over and over again on the amount of product to the tune of very close to 20 per cent shortage. I pay by the cubic yard and they are always short and have to send another truck to finish the pour and it always appears to be the case. I am an expert at calculating before the project the amount of concrete needed using math formulas commonly used in the industry and when they convert their pounds of materials into my batch I always come up short. So their good price means nothing to my estimate. Even when I have applied a ten per cent liberal waste factor, as is my common practice, I still come up short and have to pay for another load to finish the project. They need to fix this calibration problem as it is expensive for me and time consumes time waiting for that last load with a risk of a cold joint in the slab. On the plus side they have dependable equipment, knowledgeable drivers, and deliver a high quality timely product. On the negative side they are totally unresponsive and no reply to complaints that they cut me short on my order and I had to pay for more concrete than the extimate in order to finish the project. They are the one in error and made no effort whatsoever to respond to this complaint. They are the only supplier close enough to serve this project so they got me and THEY KNOW THEY ARE THE ONLY ACT IN TOWN.
