Fantastic job - would definitely hire again. Used this company through my home warranty. Took the time to explain what was going on with the unit, and worked for hours to ensure it was working properly. Replaced transformer and multiple fuses in a VERY old unit in an old home, and gave me some helpful advice after on maintenance of the unit. Great family and group of people - would def hire again!

They offered a replacement thermostat. I declined citing that the price was too high. He seemed to take offense. Technician also made a judgement, without sufficient evidence, on how the unit and old thermostat had been used. I felt that both of these things were handled in an unprofessional manner.

They added 3 pounds of freon and found where the freon was leaking, which was a valve. We had a heat and air guy from Berico yesterday and he said it was a small leak and had not even bothered to check the valves. HIGHLY recommend Mark and Mabe head and air.

This company was sent out by my home warranty company. The guys were accommodating to my work schedule and very polite. They checked the freon levels and found a bad leak in my 20 year old A/C unit. They contacted the home warranty company (Old Republic) to get the evaporator coil replaced. Reported to Old Republic Home Protection (ORHP) on 6/11. Mabe called about coming on 6/13 but I was at work. They came on 6/14 (Friday evening) and diagnosed the problem. I had a Freon leak and needed an evaporator coil. ORHP called Tuesday, 6/18 to say the part would take 3-5 business days to get in. ORHW called on Thursday, 6/20, to say part needed to be ordered from factory and would take a week to get in. They wanted to make sure I was sure I wanted the part replaced because there would be a restocking fee if I changed my mind. Over the next 2 weeks I was in constant communication with Old Republic and Mabe Heating & A/C trying to find out when my part would be in. This time also fell over the July 4th holiday which delayed things. My part finally came in and the A/C was fixed on 7/9. Mabe was super-nice every time I called. I can't say it was their fault it took so long to get my A/C fixed but it did seem excessive. I think it was a collection of things. It was also my first time dealing with the home warranty company. It has been a month and my A/C is working great. I would use Mabe again. PS -- The price above ($60) was what I paid per the agreement with my home warranty company. I do not know the total that was charged or what the home warranty company paid.
