Description of Work: HORRIBLE SERVICE. DESTROYED THREE 30 YEAR OLD MAPLES BY TOPPING. WAS HIRED TO "PRUNE". HAD TO HAVE TREES REMOVED, CAUSING ME TO SPEND AN ADDITIONAL $2000.00 TO CLEAN UP MESS. CAME ON PROPERTY EVEN AFTER TOLD WE WERE TO BE HOME WHEN TREE WORK WAS TO BE PERFORMED, CAME WHEN NO ONE HOME. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY IN EXCESS OF $30,000.00. TRIED TO BLOCK ME FROM FILING CLAIM WITH HIS INSURANCE COMPANY. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Description of Work: Service was hired to "trim" 5 maple trees, and ONLY when we were home. Specifically showed how much each tree should be trimmed. Appointment was made for the following Saturday. Came on Thursday home after being out of town for the day and my trees are destroyed. Was told that it was due to rain on Saturday so he went ahead. I am still in disbelief that the trees are result is this bad. No one would ever want this for their trees. He took out every limb below 20 feet. There is no where to hang a bird feeder. These trees will starve as the feed thru their leaves, they can no longer support their root base. These beautiful trees were three stories high and just needed some minor trimming, not total limb removal. It is unbelievable the destruction to my trees. These were 30+ yr maples. They are ruined and will never recover. US Forestry Service has been out here to my property and their advice is to take out the trees. That basically, I don't have trees anymore!!!! He came on our property when he shouldn't and I have major damage. Even after discussion, owner tried to block insurance claim. This will end in a civil law suit! My damages are in excess of 30,000.00. I have no more shade on outdoor living area or privacy from street. He preformed a practice that is totally unacceptable and not what was requested, called topping. It damages and kills trees. Maples in particular are never to recover from this extreme practice.

+ -1 moreHe didn't charge me to bring the mulch to me. He was very professional. He spoke to me when I saw him in a restaurant, but I had no clue who he was because I hadn't seen him all cleaned up and without a house. He came by whenever to drop off wood or mulch.
Description of Work: I got a quote from Gentry's Tree Service. He has also dumped a bunch of mulch and wood that he cleared from a place around me.
