They arrived on time and performed all services in an outstanding manner. Clean up was also well done. All questions were answered in a timely fashion.

Hutchins Landscape and Lawn Maintenance provided the service the Big Deal promised in that they apparently put something on my lawn on at least two reported occasions and I can vouch that weeds did, in fact, die. Beyond its ability to kill weeds, I would not recommend this vendor. Unfortunately, I had to write "apparently", "something" and "reported" because the vendor did not effectively communicate with me. I was not informed before either treatment visit so I have no first-hand knowledge of who sprayed what and where. After the first unscheduled visit, all I was told by the owner was that someone sprayed a "pre-emergent and post-emergent" weed killer on the lawn; there may have been a fertilizer treatment, as well, but I am honestly unsure. When I expressed concern after the first visit that spraying occurred while my children were home and inquired about what was sprayed and if it was safe for children to be around (I have two young ones), I was assured it was safe. And while I have no reason to doubt the veracity of the owner, I do take issue with his apparent inability to communicate the basic facts of the treatments to me and I especially did not appreciate not being informed before either treatment. Even after I expressly asked to be informed before the second treatment occurred, all I received was an email after the fact stating treatment had occurred and that a tech knocked and no one was home. I did not receive information about who sprayed what, nor where and when it was sprayed. Therefore, I still have questions about what was sprayed and where, and I have concerns about how near to our vegetable boxes the tech sprayed these mystery chemicals. But I did not communicate those questions and concerns to the owner since I had no faith I would receive the information I wanted. Despite not seeing this vendor work with my own two eyes, I am satisfied that this vendor sprayed chemicals and killed weeds. Otherthan that, I am dissatisfied with the manner in which this vendor operated and will not be using them again.

Service is excellent and reasonably priced. We inherited some problems when we moved in and we interviewed five landscaping companies. Jon was the most knowledgable and professional as well as reasonably priced. He will take the time to talk to you about any concerns and gives good advice. Our yard and plants have never looked so good! Already gave his name to a neighbor who asked who did my work. Plan to use Huchins to revise our landscaping in the fall. Strongly encourage you to have him out for an estimate. Very satisfied!

The whole reason I bought the deal was for 3 treatments, and then they said they would only offer two. If they were only going to offer two, they should have just said two. I was so frustrated I almost cancelled it for him. They came and did one treatment, and it only took about ten minutes, and then he did not contact me back and the second treatment was never applied and now the time is gone.

If there were a grade higher than "A", Jon would deserve it. I initially contacted him after purchasing his "big deal" for weed treatments - he came out right away after my purchase and did my treatment, and to my surprise it was very effective, within two weeks after the treatment, the yard looked vastly better (my lawn had been littered with weeds even though I had used a major lawn treatment company for weed treatment the past two years -- nothing they did seemed to improve the situation). After seeing the great results from the weed treatment, I contacted Jon a few weeks ago about doing my routine yard maintenance, based on both his success at the weed control and his other great reviews on Angie's List (I have found a good, dependable, landscaper hard to find). He responded immediately to my inquiry, came out immediately to give me an estimate for the routine maintenance, and after I confirmed I wanted to proceed with him, he sent his crew out within the week. They did a beautiful job - I could tell from their first visit that attention to detail was a priority. My house had not looked that good in a long time. But, my great -- no, my glowing -- review for Jon is not for the services just described. On Sunday of this week I contacted Jon to let him know that even though he had just been out two days before for the routine yard maintenance, I needed emergency help. My sister had unexpectedly passed away a few days prior, and I would be holding a memorial gathering at my house in a week and I wanted the house to look as nice as possible. So, I asked him to remove two dead trees, pinestraw extensive areas, trim bushes, and other matters -- quite a list of "to dos." Not only did he immediately respond that he would move some things around to fit me in, but he did so with a truly kind and sincere message of sympathy. Two days later his crew came out and did everything I asked. The house looked good after their first visit, now it looks spectacular. Nothing I could write would do Jon justice. He is my landscaper for life, and by the way, a wonderful human being.

Overall it was alright. I called twice before he got back to me but when he did come he worked quite fast and I am waiting for him to return as I still have weeds. He was pleasant and courteous and wrote me a receipt for what he did and the extra money that I paid him.

I have a large property which required extensive cleanup and mulching. Jon showed up precisely at the appointed time - we did a walk through of the entire property and he suggested a few things to save money. He sent a detailed estimate for only the things I requested (he did not offer services which I didn't request; something I appreciated). I signed the agreement and mailed it to him and within he few days he arrived at my place with his crew and went to work. They did a fantastic job - working until 7 pm - everything was done with care. I had the distinct impression that he took care of my property as if it was his own. I will be using his company for the routine maintenance of my lawn.

This was an absolutely outstanding experience. I found Jon on Angie's list and was impressed by the reviews. I called him to get an estimate of external lighting for a system that had been damaged and he was very responsive and punctual. I told him that as the rebuild progressed we also wanted to install a patio where some crushed stone was currently located. Once the reconstruction of the home began, Jon called and we met onsite to discuss options. We iterated over the design via email and by phone. Once we picked the pavers (and Jon gave us a deadline since a sale was ending) he ordered the supplies and worked with the builder to get on site as quickly as possible. He estimated two weeks to finish the job and finished it in under a week. The quality and look is phenomenal. Jon even called us when the pallets of stone arrived as he felt that they were more varied in color than what we had wanted - and offered to send it back if we wanted. All around, he was totally professional and responsive. We will absolutely use him when it is time to do landscaping and to install exterior lighting.

I started using them last September and they do a very nice job. They brought my grass back; it is nice and green right now. Their price is higher than I was paying to the previous company I used but I think they are with the norm for this area for pricing. I have a one year contract with them.

Top grade professional work throughout. Jon responded promptly to initial phone call and came out to look over the property and provided a detailed estimate up front. The job entailed tree removal, removal of large limbs over the house and heavy brush removal around trees that we wanted to keep. Jon had the crew out within a couple of days, with plenty of heavy equipment to get the job done safely and efficiently. Large limbs were removed from over the house with no worries about damage from falling timber. Thick brush was removed from around the keeper-trees with no damage to trees and the brush was taken out by the roots to prevent regrowth. The crew removed a large tree and pulled out the stump and root mass as well so that the ground can be seeded for grass. Once the tree and brush removal was complete, Jon made numerous suggestions for landscaping the new ground and suggested plants that could be used as a privacy fence, that would also enhance the property. The final bill was exactly the amount provided in the estimate. When we're ready to replant, I'll be calling on Jon to do all my contracted work. I highly recommend Jon and his company for landscaping work. I'm confident that, whatever the job requires, Jon will be able to provide the knowledge, equipment and expertise to get the job done.

This was a wonderful experience! Jon and his team did an INCREDIBLE job of aerating and seeding my lawn. I was really very impressed with the job that was done. They did a perfect 10 job.... They did the job the way I would do the job if I could. They were very knowledgeable. I actually got price quotes for irrigation, yearly fertilization and lawn maintainence and exterior lighting. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heartbeat. They are incredible!

Hutchin's Landscape performed a complete lawn renovation for us. Removal of old lawn, added topsoil, corrected drainage issues and reworked irrigation system that required more zones and head placements. They installed new Zeon Zoysia sod which is excellent and the work was on time, very well priced and required no extra follow-up. Jon and crew did a fantastic job of installation, clean up and they were very punctual. Overall an A+ rating and I would highly recommend Jon and crew to anyone who needs landscape work.

The owner name is John Hutchins. The experience was fine. He is very thorough. We would tell others that we found a g ood person to cut the lawn and do the landscaping. If he is super busy, then he can't get out here within a couple of days.

I needed lawn service. I can no longer do it because of physical limitations. I called Mr. Hutchins and within hours received a return call. We made an appointment for him to come and look at my lawn for an estimate.He was delayed in traffic, but called to let me know. I received a call the next day with the price. We agreed and he started maintaining the yard. He is as professional as anyone I have worked with in a long time. A man of integrity and punctuality and pride in his company's work. I have been so pleased and worry free with his service. I intend to use him for additional work in my shrubbery beds. He is not always the one who does the work but he keeps up with his emoloyees work. I am well pleased.

Hutchins Landscape & Lawn Maintenance has made a huge difference in the way the yard looks. It looks great today, but when we moved-in about four years ago the grass was spotty with many bare spots. The irrigation system was not working, and the landscape beds were unkept with dying bushes. Within the first year, the irrigation system had been fixed and the sprinkler heads re-positioned to more effectively cover the yard. The grass began filling in and the beds were tended. Now, almost four years later, the yard looks great! The grass is lush and free of weeds and the beds have healthy plants and are nicely mulched. It is also very nice to have all the leaves cleaned up during the fall! Hutchins is very good to work with. The employees are hard-working and friendly. The prices are reasonable and the service is realiable. They also are responsive to "quick turnaround" requests where the lawn needs to be tended outside of the normal schedule for special events. I have had no problems in the almost four years they have been providing service and would recommended them to others.

They have done a wonderful job. I have been very satisfied with the work they do. They cost a little bit more than I wanted it to but they do a good job. He does both landscaping and lawn mowing. He is very good at communicating if he is going to be late due to the weather. He is a very professional person.
