Description of Work: Mark Howard is the owner of Aristocrat. When my husband and I hired Mark to do our cement patio and landscaping he assured us that he would be very proficient. However, we have not found this to be true even in the remotest stretch of imagination. Examples: 1) He was supposed to bury a drain pipe for the gutters. It was not done correctly. 2) Did not call to inform us he was ready to pour the cement instead the cement truck and Mark arrived at the same time. In our opinion he was not ready to pour as there was no rock foundation for the entire job only dirt. The ditch for the drain pipe was not dug out and he had already started pouring cement on the dirt. No foundation and no rebar for support of the cement. He had poured about 50% of the cement at this time and after questioning he said not to worry as the cement has fiberglass fortified and is stronger than rebar. My wife called the cement company we found out that was untrue the cement was just plain cement with no fiberglass at all per the manager at the cement company. |One of his employees broke our glass table top and Mark said he would make it right. He cleaned up the glass, took the table top said he would get it replaced or find out how much it would cost to replace it and we would negotiate off the final fee. He put down a couple of bags of black dirt around the patio that was poured and he said he would be back to finish the landscape. However, after several calls he has not returned our calls or the table. Now his phone answer system is full and will not allow you to leave a voice mail. Of course, if we would have known all of this we certainly would not have hired him. We certainly do not recommend him. On his behalf I will say that we live in a townhouse and he did call our HOA to get approval so we did not have to pay for a survey. He did perform well on the after job cleanup. Because he did do a good job designing the project and his communication with our HOA we felt he would do a good job for us. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We would also like our table top back from him which we still are waiting.

Description of Work: BEWARE of this provider - he is out of business and does not respond. I was duped by Angie's List and purchased the $999 Big Deal for One Full Year of Lawn Maintenance on 9/19/15. This guy mowed my yard twice. I have emailed him, called him and texted him - all to no avail. I contacted Angie's List and got no where with them and they told me that there's a 30 day refund policy. Angie's List continues to publish Big Deals from this company and is continuing to allow people to purchase these fraudulent deals. If you have any doubts about this company you can contact me at dpoyner89@gmail.com I think those of us who have been duped by Aristocrat and Angie's are owed a refund. Class action suit anyone?

Description of Work: They had originally told me that cut my area or town on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The first cut was supposed to be on a Thursday. They didn't show up until Monday afternoon. So off to a great start...For each of the following 3 weeks, they never once showed up on a Wednesday or Thursday as scheduled. It was always Friday and I had to text each week to confirm they were coming when they had missed both scheduled days. It has nor been 2 weeks since they cut my grass. I live on a corner lot in a country club neighborhood with strict landscaping rules and my yard looks like a jungle. Very embarrassing and unprofessional. I've texted, called, and emailed multiple times over the past 2 weeks with zero response. Yet, my husband left the owner a voicemail today and miraculously got a call back within 15 minutes. I find that to be ridiculous. According to the owner, they bit off more than they can chew and sold too many Angie's' List Big Deals, so can no longer continue our service. Excuse me???? I bought this deal in August and it is now May. I've been a customer, who pre-paid the $999, and they are going to quit in the peak of landscape season? Extremely unprofessional. I also had them scheduled to trim the bushes, plant flowers, and lay pine straw in 2 weeks, just days before a big party. Now, at 6 months pregnant and unable to do it myself, I need to find another company to come pick up the slack in a very short time frame. Unbelievable. Whatever you do- stay AWAY from this company!!!

Description of Work: There was more than one date of service, but your query doesn't allow for that. It was 4 lawn cuttings for $99 as a promo offer. Had some difficulty getting services scheduled at approx 2 week intervals, but eventually got it done. Asked me if I wanted to proceed with a longer-term relationship, but I found the cost/cutting a bit higher than the competition for similar quality, so I passed.

Description of Work: Bought a deal, paid in advance to have our lawn aerated and over seeded. But They did not respond to scheduling requests. Finally, I called the company, spoke with the owner and asked to cancel the service and have the money refunded. The owner said the money would be refunded within 2 to 3 days. Two days later I got home and someone was there working on my lawn despite the service being canceled. By this time it was late November, and too late for over seeding. We stopped the work, the guy left and said money would be refunded. We never received a refund.

Description of Work: Aeration, overseeding, repair and seed and straw for bare patches. Took a fairly long time to get the work completed. Much of that was not provider's fault but was due to rainy weather. But I had to continue to follow up to get the work done rather than the company taking the initiative to reschedule when rain forced delays. Work was good. Not so fantastic that I would say "definitely use" nor bad so I would say "definitely don't use".

Description of Work: Have 30 trees on 1/2 acre they did leaf removal and left them on curb...great workers and pleasant!!

Description of Work: Removed leaves. Only problem was there were repeated no shows or cancellations before we finally got together. A little pricey for what they did.

Description of Work: Aerate and seed. Once they got the correct house, they did the job.

Description of Work: Designed and installed a landscape around my house including a stone retaining wall, as well as putting cultured stone on the chimney and foundation.
