Description of Work: Our dishwasher was installed incorrectly, the whole thing tips because it is not attached to the cabinet or counter, it is just sitting in the opening. We and our builder have tried to get assistance. Unfortunately, Preston (owner) will not answer or return telephone calls or send an installer.

+ -1 moreThey were really quick and on time and all that kind of stuff. We had to pay a service charge. They came on time. They completed the job ahead so there was no delay in getting that repaired. I guess the only issue was that it took us a couple of weeks to get them to come. They were booked up.

+ -1 moreThe local store was great, but the service from the service dept was terrible. It took over three weeks for the repair. Then it was only done when we contacted the local Sears store. Once they were contacted they followed up untill we got the repaired saw.

+ 0 moreI was impressed by this. The gentleman who came out was very nice. If I make my appointments online it is cheaper and I get a really big bonus rather than just calling them directly. Their punctuality was excellent considering where I live as it is hard to find me. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Sears for heating and air conditioning. I last used them to check my furnace by going down inside it with a camera to see if everything was working ok. They serviced and cleaned out the main units to make sure everything is functioning properly.

Description of Work: i ordered a riding mower and lawn sweeper on the internet at Sears' web site. The delivery was scheduled for March 07, 2012. When the delivery arrived, everything was out of the box and put together. It was taken off of the truck by the delivery persons. The mower would not start. When the key was turned there was absolutely NO activity. The delivery men were totally unable to get any action from the mower. I told the men that I could not accept this. They assured me that the mower would be returned and a new mower delivered on Monday, 03/12/2012. From Friday 03/09/2012, I received five (5) calls stating that the delivery would be between 09:45 and 11:45 on Monday. I then recieved call #6 stating that the delivery had been moved to Wednesday 03/15/2012. There has been no explanation for this. I have called 7 times trying to talk to a manager about this problem. No one will transfer me to a manager. I have no been on hold for over 30 minutes. I am cancelling this order and will NEVER AGAIN work with Sears.

+ 7 moreEvery time we had a different repairman depending on what appliance it was, and we had a drier and refrigerator, and they were very polite. They came when they were supposed to and cleaned up after themselves. The only complaint I had was they didn't have enough service men and so I had to wait a while to get them; they did tell me that they were trying to hire some new people because they had more calls than they had people for. I would definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We have an extended warranty contract with Sears that covers all the appliance repairs that we get done through them. They just checked to make sure the machines were still in working order, they cleaned them out, they cleaned the fans and things like that; they basically did a maintenance service for us.

+ -1 moreAwful experience with manager. He really didn't care if my high dollar vacuum worked or not. Refused to allow exchange.
Description of Work: Purchased new Dyson vacuum cleaner in July 08. Had problems at just over the 90 day period. Manager refused return because it was (just slightly) over the 90 day period. Have had constant problems with the vac ever since. I bought all new appliances last December from another store instead of Sears because of all the vacuum problems. Also, have friends who have just refurbished home and they also went to another store instead of Sears. I do patronize Sears, just not this one in Roanoke Rapids anymore.
