I went to the agency to sign a lease and provide a deposit for a house I was wanting to rent. I was provided the "many page" lease to review as well as a video outlining the agency's policies. The lease agreement was the most restrictive lease I had ever read. For example, the house I was wanting had a 22' x 30' shop building that I was really excited about, however, the lease prohibited the rotating of tires, oil change, tune ups, or virtually any work on a vehicle. The agents on duty kept telling me "Oh, that's not what it really means -- you can drive nails in the walls to hang pictures and things" while the lease specifically forbids doing exactly that. In summary, be advised to read every detail of the rental lease agreement. The paper you sign is what you will be held accountable to -- not what the agents are telling you.
