Good company. Installed our 20Seer system after lighting took out or original one. Good job, and signed up for 10 year service plan.

Yellowdot was appointed by the builder for HVAC and they used inferior thermostat which is dead in few months . The house is brand new . The thermostats are under 5 years manufacturing warranty but the trick is you can only get your free warranty replacement thermostat through their $300 installation package. For the installation they just unplugged the old one and replace with the new one. Configuration is very simple step by step process. The same thermostat is sold in Amazon for $100. So, is it not stealing money from the customer ? Be careful from this company . They do very poor job and ripped off your pocket .

AVOID. $1067 for UV light and system cleaning...I feel like a real sucker! There's no proof that anything has been done. Story: In a routine maint. visit, the tech told my tenants there was "organic growth" (possibly mold) and it needed to be cleaned ASAP. I approved the costs and asked that they give me “before and after” pictures. I was given “before”, but no “after”. That was Feb. 25. Today is March 10. I've called and written emails. I said I would even pay to get someone to take the pictures and they just say they’ll get back to me. I'm guessing the after pics will look just like the before. The tenants and I are legitimately concerned. How do I know that anything has been cleaned? The tech was Lamont M. and the installer was Kevin R. I have a maintenance agreement with them that I’m cancelling.

I called them at 2:20a since this is suppose to be 24hr service and my heat went out . We have only been living in this brand new built home for 6 months and the heat went out for the second time, well its 7:30a and NOT NO ONE has come or called. I have called the dispatch 3 times giving hours in between each time called and explaining that my children, my grandmother and of course myself and husband are freezing. My home has dropped from 76 down to 63 degrees. We are going to have to pack up and leave our home because we can not rest like this . This is ridiculous at this point. Oh and I called again at 8a to be told we can be put on the schedule by the end of the day.. So I guess we just have to freeze. Its 8:40a and still no call.

I had been a reasonably satisfied customer with this company for multiple years. However, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I had an appointment scheduled with them on 08/28 with an 8:00 AM-12:00 PM window and NO ONE showed. Although I was frustrated after taking off work, I rescheduled. When the technician came out, he was very polite. I do NOT have any negative comments about him. He said that the capacitor might go out, but he could not tell me when. As it was the end of summer, I declined the repair. However, approximately 30 minutes after he left, no air was coming out of the vent, but the outside unit was running. I called back and was told that they would come back to look at. They said if it was not the compacitor, it would be no charge, BUT if it was, there would be a $75.00 trip charge. Ordinarily, this would be reasonable, BUT they wasted my time and money the previous week( remember I took off work and they did not show), so for them to want money from me for wasting their time when they did it to me the previous week was not acceptable to me. It is definitely a two way street with them. The first two ladies I spoke with on the phone were polite, but the last one was unprofessional. It took considerable amount of restraint to remain professional, even as she interrupted me and over spoke me. I terminated my business relationship with them, and will not be recommending. It is a shame given that I probably will need a new unit soon, and they could have had my business.

Went very well and convinced previous contractor was not doing a good job.

Beware that Yellow Dot like some others requires payment (for their diagnosis of the problem, even though other certified HVAC Technicians have already diagnosed the problem) in order to provide a quotation for the work needed to fix the unit. This pay for quotation policy, whereby the HVAC company refuses to provide a quotation without payment makes it difficult for us to provide this company with a stellar rating, even though their work product may be above average.

They got here right on time and had us up and running in notime.

I pay $350 for the year and covers fall and spring. I like the people I've had. They are very knowledgeable. The repair on my air conditioner they pointed out that there was no warranty this year of some sort with the manufacturer and gave me information on how to file a claim as part of our class action lawsuit. I appreciated they went above and beyond with that.

We get our semi-annual checkups through them. They come usually early summer and then early winter to do the same thing. They're the ones that installed our furnace, but that was probably six or seven years ago. I would say they're very competitive on price.

They have been fine. There isn't anything that I can recall that they can improve upon.

I think it was on a Friday, the nice thing was I called them that morning and by the next afternoon they had someone out to our house. Sometimes with HVAC places you call and they tell you its going to be several days. But they sent someone out and they repaired it in the same day. The cost seems a little high for what they did, but since it was fixed and in a timely manner we were OK with that. We would use them again and recommend them.

We were worried, because sometimes you call HVAC companies and they tell you it will be several days, so they sent a technician and he diagnosed and repaired the problem in the same day. I was happy and impressed with that. The only thing I would say is that the cost for the work that he did seems a little high, but being able to fix it in a timely manner we were okay with the price. We had previously used them. They installed the HVAC system about four years ago in our home, and since they were the installer of the system, we continued to use them.

I think what I like about them is very quick response; they came out and fixed it right away. The price could be cheaper if I spent more time to find it, but I think I like the way they responded back quickly and fixed it. It just stopped working upstairs and they just fixed some parts. The part was not that expensive but the labor, coming here and fixing it. I would give them an A because I think the service in this kind of situation matters. The price is B - a little expensive. Their professionalism is very good. I'm expanding my attic space, so I'm going to have them to put new ducts there.

I've used Yellow Dot for 10 years. I wouldn't be using them for 10 years if they weren't good.

Excellent experience with this company!! Competitive price, professional, prompt and both systems past Town of Cary Inspection on 1st visit. We replaced HVAC systems at 3 of our rental properties this summer. This was the 3rd company we used and by far the very best. We would have preferred to use the same contractor for all three. However, contractor 1 was very average, then contractor 2 for the 2nd property was a D rating at best. Too bad we didn't start with Yellow Dot to begin with.

He is polite and cleans up after himself.

I sent an email with details about what I needed and requested a quote. A salesman contacted me and said that he needed to look at the unit before providing anything in writing. I had to follow-up with him to try to schedule a time, he could not make the first available time frame. He suggested another time that would not work for me. I suggested another date and time and the response from the salesman was that he would only come if I would say yes or no on the spot. I told him that that would probably not happen and he did not show up.

They are reliable. Their workers are courteous. I will surely use them again.

The crew showed up when expected and did their work in a professional manner. Work site left clean and neat.

They came and took care of it. They had a same day appointment so they were able to come out. I think they were little bit pricey since I had to go to them directly. I think they were on time. I would actually use them again because I was satisfied with their quality of work.

I live alone and have a limited time window in my schedule to arrange for service. I callled 2 days before the desired day and was scheduled for service but was told that a specific time could not be provided. I also had a medical appointment for that day at 130. I had not heard from the service tech by 1230 so I called and said I had an appointment that I must attend. I was told they were just about to call me and come to my house. I asked if they could come later in the day and I was told that maybe they could come but they could not guarantee. They did not come. I think a more organized service schedule is warranted to avoid having a homeowner commit to being availavle for an entire day. The receptionist I spoke with on the phone was not customer-oriented and I did not feel they were committed to the customer.

I am still under contract with them. I am still under warranty with my service. They did a good job. I have not had problems since then. The vendor paid for it so I don't know the price. They came out, like, after hours.

The sales person took his time to answer our questions, and he provided a variety of options taking into account price, noise, Seer rating, rebates and tax credits. I am extremely satisfied with the system that we purchased. The installation was great as well. The installer was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the finished installation looked very clean. All of the appropriate permits were filed with the city, and it passed inspection without any issues.

They came on the weekend and went around and checked a lot of things in the house. We told him what the issue was and he was inside and outside checking and very good.
