+ -1 moreI have a contract with them and they come out twice a year. I spend about $195 on that service. They are punctual and thorough. They actually found something that another company overlooked. Their prices are comparable to others. They are usually prompt.
Description of Work: I used Woodcrest Heating & Cooling and the do my annual inspection for my heating and cooling. I have used them for several years and the last time I used them was last spring.

+ -1 moreExcellent on all work completed. In addition to replacing the compressor, we have them clean our units (2) each year, totalling about $200. We have also purchased a new HVAC unit for our downstairs from them in 2003 ($3300), and they will stay with you if you have any problems, making service calls for free until you are trouble free. We really like this company.
Description of Work: We had to have a new compressor in our upstairs HVAC unit. Mario has been servicing our home and apartments for over 10 years and they are competent, service oriented, prompt, honest, and the great thing about them, is they don't try to sell you something you don't need. In fact, they lean the other way explaining sometimes why is is more cost effective to replace the frion every year in an air conditioner unit than to buy a new unit at this time.

+ -1 moreThey come in, they check everything, and if something needs to be done, they let me. I've used companies in the past that try to sell me something every time they come but Woodcrest does not do that. No hard or soft sales.

Description of Work: My unit was not heating very well; it was a couple days before Xmas the tech came out and even thought my house house was freezing. He said he couldn't report to AHS as broken because it was still running, barely. The day before Xmas it died. Then the tech told me they would have to replace it they were suppose to get the same unit. I had NO HEAT for the first two weeks then they tried to put in a smaller unit which I caught and told them again I want the same unit.They didn't order the same unit twice. I had NO HEAT NOW FOR 8 WEEKS AND IT WAS FREEZING THAT YEAR!!!! Then they got the right unit in and the tech told me that it didn't come with the thermostat and I would have to paid them $600.00 just for the thermostat. He also told me he would have to rewire the whole unit which also wasn't covered.He was lying to AHS telling them I wanted to upgrade. Finally I went to the TV TROUBLE SHOOTER after I had NO HEAT FOR FOUR MONTHS!!! AHS sent someone else out and everything was fixed that day!!!

+ -1 moreIt went well overall. Mario was extremely professional. The turnaround time was great. The technicians cleaned up inside when they finished, but left the old concrete slab in the backyard.
Description of Work: Woodcrest replaced our heating unit and installed a humidifier.

+ -1 moreI don't have to remember to call them to schedule. They call me and make sure it is convenient for them to come out. They do a very thorough job. The systems have been working fine and I know that their diligence is a big help in keeping them that way.

Description of Work: Woodcreast Heating and Cooling upgraded my heating and cooling system in our three bedroom home. We had a sun room addition built and our old unit was not heating and cooling properly anymore.

+ -1 moreThe furnace is working great as far as I can tell. We were pleased with the installation and the service we got overall. The workers didn t mess around when they got here to work; the worked quickly and efficiently. I thought the price was fair. I would recommend them to friends.
Description of Work: Woodcrest Heating and Cooling installed a new gas furnace. I m not sure of the size of the furnace but our home is 2800 square feet. They removed the old furnace also.

+ -1 moreThere were no problems with the work that was done. Everything was in order and I was pleased with the service. I would recommend them to anyone that is need of such a service. They were friendly and prompt and answered all of my questions. The price was reasonable and they did a great job.
Description of Work: There was an addition on our home and we needed an extra heat pump added to the system in the attic. I am to sure of the size of the unit but our home is about 2100 square feet.

The guys who did the installation answered all of our questions completely. They worked very hard and had the entire job done very quickly. We had a few price quotes and they were one of the best we received. We would highly recommend this companies services to any one.

I have never had a bad experience when using this company and I would surely advise others to look into them, if they are in search of a good company. Specifically pertaining to my large gas furnace being put in, I was once again thoroughly pleased with the services rendered and I think very highly of this organization as a whole.
Description of Work: They replaced my entire large gas furnace for me and they removed of my old furnace within one day.

+ -1 moreI would absolutely use Woodcrest's services in the future. I was very pleased with their neatness and I felt that they made me feel like a valued customer. They were easy for me to converse with, friendly and respectful within the confines of my home. I had shopped around in terms of costs, as well, and they offered the best rates around from what I could tell.
Description of Work: Woodcrest replaced our oil furnace for us not too long ago. We paid to have a large unit taken out and a whole new unit completely installed. I got a middle grade unit, and by the time it was all said and done, I paid approximately six thousand dollars.

+ -1 moreWoodcrest Heating and Cooling was a great company for me to work with. I have been dealing with them since 1994. When they first opened and they are wonderful! They are cordial, polite and hard workers. I find them to be very honest and very customer care oriented in terms of how they relate to those using their services. I would say that their costs are fair, but still competitive. I will continue to give them my business. With a heating and air conditioning job like we had done the costs you wind up with are usually a result of what the quality and brand of the product you are installing is. More than what the installation fees are. Now, we opted to get a higher end gas furnace unit. Which is why we paid more money than perhaps some folks would be willing to.
Description of Work: Woodcrest Heating & Cooling replaced my gas furnace for me. I would say that we have an average sized unit.

+ -1 moreWe had no heat on a Friday headed into the coldest weekend we've had in Raleigh this year. Woodcrest agreed to show up the same day (which two other companies couldn't do) and stayed in contact with us about when they would arrive. They were prompt, professional, and helpful. They handled the work quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend them!
Description of Work: Woodcrest did work for us under our home warranty contract. Our fuel-oil furnace stopped working, and Woodcrest came out to take a look. They reset the system, and the furnace started working properly. About a week later, we woke up one morning to a strong fuel oil smell in the house, and our home-warranty company called Woodcrest again. They came out and did maintenance on the furnace. They replaced the nozzle and oil filter and replaced the pump strainer. They got our furnace working again, and it appears to be functioning well! NOTE about the price paid - it reflects the total paid for two visits to our house to service our furnace.

+ -1 moreWe thought that Woodcrest's employees could not have been more friendly. They were absolutely phenomenal to work with, and we had no issues with them whatsoever. Unfortunately, recently two of our vents have broken. My husband has contacted them three times and we have not heard any response from them to date. So, if we could just resolve that minor issue, we'd be thrilled with them. We had found out about Woodcrest through our real estate agent. The only thing I cannot comment on would be the exact price that we were charged for the work done by Woodcrest. I know that we had no complaints about the costs, but my husband handles the bill paying.
Description of Work: Woodcrest was the company who replaced and installed our air conditioning unit for us and completed our duct work in our one year old, refurbished home.
