Description of Work: Our well pump stopped working, and they diagnosed and repaired the pump. They were very professional and did a great job.

Description of Work: Our church bought a property which had a 6" diameter well on it with an open top and no evidence of anything else. We wanted to use the well solely for irrigation of grass and plants. We called Walter Upchurch to come check it for us last year-~ September 2014. He found that a submersible pump had be cut and allowed to fall with all piping and cords to the well bottom. He pulled it out, made sure the well was free from further obstructions, checked the total depth and static water level, took a water sample and put a sanitary well seal and well tag with specific information about the well on---it at no charge. (We mentioned we were not yet ready to activate the well. He had faith we would call him back). In early May 2015, I called Walter and told him we were ready to set up the well, as we had new sod put down and the lot had been seeded and needed watering. He was on site before 8 AM the morning after my phone call. He installed a new submersible pump, 30 gal. pressure tank, well seal, all piping and dual frost-free hose bibs and necessary wiring for electrical hookup. He had the well set up and ready to pump by 10:30. Unfortunately, we needed an electrician to run a 220V line to the well pump. The electrician was called. He came the following morning and was finished before 10 AM. We were pumping water before 11AM--less than 48 hours from when I called Walter. Were it not for the need for the electrician's wiring, we would have had water in less than 24 hours. |Walter provided our church outstanding service both times we called him. Based on our experiences, we highly recommend him for one's well, pump or tank needs. He is professional, knowledgeable, punctual, reasonable and a really nice person too!

Description of Work: Replaced a dying jet pump (23 years old) with a submersible pump - and changed out a 23 very small pressure tank with a new insulated larger one. Insulated all piping in the well house professionally and it has increase our water pressure significantly.

Description of Work: Came out within a day of calling him. Inspected well and found problem quickly -- before I could even get there--. He was not able to fix problem as it was not with well but directed me who to call to get it fixed. Great customer service. Great help!!

Description of Work: Replaced a cracked submersible well pump. Put in new wire and protected it with pvc pipe. He had great synergy with his co-worker. They worked in perfect unison and did the job quickly. We gathered 3 bids for this job and his was actually the highest, but he could come out sooner than the others and seemed to know his trade the most.

Description of Work: My well pump gave out at night. I called Walter first thing in the morning and he and his assistant came by and looked over my system. He explained everything he was doing, broke down pricing for me, answered any and all questions and was very courteous and professional. They had my new pressure tank and well pump installed by early afternoon. I would recommend them to anyone in the Raleigh/Durham area if you have well issues of any kind!

Description of Work: We contacted Walter's Well Pump and Tank Service when we woke up with brown water coming from all faucets in our home. In a panic, we called this company thinking that we had major damage to our well. The owner walked us through several steps to do a self-check on our well. After spending quite some time with us on the phone, he was able to determine the problem was not our well. No expensive unnecessary visit, just a friendly, helpful phone call. I feel like there are a lot of companies out there who would charge you for a visit when that isn't necessary. Not this one! If we ever do need a professional to check our well, they will be the first we call.
