Triserv Carpet Cleaners

Description of Work: We have used Richard and Donna Taylor of Triserv Carpet Cleaning for about 15 years, the most recent service being July 2012. Richard has cleaned my whole house in one service call, or come out just to do a very small job, like a stain or the stairway. Not many cleaners will come out for a small job like that without charging a minimum fee. First of all, I cannot say enough good things about Richard. He not only cleans carpets better than anyone else in the area, he is just a super nice man with the kind of integrity that reminds you of a different age and time. He always - and I mean always - goes out of his way and does more than what is required or expected. He moves furniture, cleans thoroughly, uses non-toxic, environmentally friendly products, applies good old-fashioned "elbow grease" and doesn't rely on some newfangled contraption or chemical to clean your carpets. He told me once, "Carpet cleaning is not rocket science, but it does help to know basic chemistry." And he does! He has a system for all kinds of stains based on the chemical compound in the stain. My dog bled on light-beige carpet once and it sat there all day before we got home. I figured there was no way that stain was coming up all the way out. Richard couldn't get there for a few days, so he told me how to pre-treat it before he got there. He came a few days later and voila - no stain in sight. He also got a 10-year-old stain out of the living room carpet in our old house. The stain was left by the previous owner, who said she had Stanley Steamer come out three times and they never could get the stain out. We thought we would have to live with the stain until we replaced the carpet. Wrong! We met Richard shortly after purchasing the house and he got it out in about two hours. About eight years ago we purchased a home with hardwoods downstairs. That, plus the fact that our kids are teenagers now, means we no longer need to call Richard as often as we used to. Believe it or not, we are kind of disappointed about that. We always looked forward to seeing him and what a great job he did. Just great, great people, the Taylors.

Description of Work: Richard cleaned the carpets in three rooms: the family room and two bedrooms. We had a terrible purple marker stain in the family room, courtesy of our young puppy who used it as a chew toy.
