These guys are awesome. They were completely on schedule and had excellent quality of work. They responded to any and all questions that were asked and really tried to make the porch exactly what we wanted! We love the result and have enjoyed the porch and deck almost every day. They were extremely helpful with design based on their experience which we really appreciated. They did such an amazing job having the project completed in a timely manner even with holidays in the mix. They are really easy to work with and are very up front with costs. We have only positive things to say and would highly recommend them for any project. This was our second project with them (the first was.a kitchen remodel). Excellent quality and amazing guys in general! We have had many compliments on the work.

We had a kitchen, master bath, and half bath renovation completed. We bought a foreclosure and needed the kitchen, half bath, and master bath gutted to the studs and redone. We did all of this up front before we moved in. We quickly realized many of the contractors on Angie's List were not general contractors. Time was running out so we had to find a contractor quickly because it was delaying the closing on the house. Carl and Ralph were amazing. My kitchen and bath look like they are right off of houzz.

The work was exactly what I expected after reading reviews from Angie's List. Carl and Ralph came out quickly after my initial contact and gave me a quote within a day. The quote and contract were very clear and the scope was spot-on with all of the specific requests I had. They started work on schedule and maintained schedule the entire project. All of their contractors were friendly and did a great job of working around my family while we were home. Carl was there almost daily and you could tell that he and his crew go back and are not turning over job-to-job. They were also very flexible. I chose to do some of my own cabinetry and Carl worked with me to make sure we stayed on track and his team was in line with my plans/timelines. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I would highly-recommend Triangle Classic Homes to anyone looking to have a project completed on their home. Carl is an A+ manager and could not have done a better job in terms of quality and timeliness. I will use again if/when I have another project for my home.

Carl was attentive during our initial meeting and put together a very thorough quote which included a sketch. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we decided not to pursue project at this time but based upon my interaction with both Carl and Ralph, would not hesitate to recommended their services. If I should pursue any future renovation projects, I know where to turn based upon this experience.

Carl handled my project very professional, in a very timely and friendly manner. He provided me with clear dates and a maximum timeline for the whole project, and yet the construction was even done a couple weeks early! During the construction I was always kept in the loop so I kew what was happening next. Their crew delivered high quality and lasting work that we are very satisfied with. It was a pleasure working with Carl and he has my clear recommendation for any home improvement project.

Love working with Ralph and his crew! This is our 2nd big job with Triangle Classic Homes and we couldn't be happier with the results! Ralph was good about keeping us informed of the progress and really went out of his way to ensure we were happy. What we really like about TCH is they believe in doing quality work above all else. They will not sign off on something until it meets their high standards. Would highly recommend them!

GREAT GREAT GREAT! Carl and Ralph were amazing to work with. They go above and beyond to make the customer happy but also they're just good human beings. We ran on schedule after a horrible time getting a permit. (Not their fault). They even brought us a generator to use during hurricane Matthew!! I can't recommend them enough!

What a wonderful remodeling experience we’ve had with Triangle Classic Homes. This company performs above and beyond the call of duty, which is a rarity these days. We added covered porches on both the front and back of our home. Our first priority was to ensure that it didn’t look “added on”. Triangle Classic Homes handled this beautifully. They integrated every detail from the brick color and style details, to the molding and shingles. They were extremely thorough in covering every detail, and offering suggestions as the job progressed. All of their subcontractors were highly skilled, courteous and professional. While we’re happy that our job is now complete and we can enjoy the beautiful result, we do miss our Triangle Classic Homes family and everyone we met during the process. We can’t say enough good things about Carl, Ralph and their company. We recommend them highly!

We met with Carl from Triangle Classic Homes and from the estimate to the completed project the workmanship, communication, timeliness, and commitment to quality was consistently outstanding. The subcontractors that Triangle Classic Homes coordinates/schedules to complete each phase of the project were polite, hardworking, detailed-oriented and committed to quality workmanship. The garage was finished on schedule and far exceeded our highest expectations and looks like it was built when the house was originally constructed. We highly recommend Triangle Classic Homes, and will look no further the next time we have a home improvement project.
Description of Work: We were looking for a contractor to build an additional garage onto our existing house which was built in 2004. Our plan was to build a 3-car garage, with bonus room and full bath. After searching for vendors on Angie’s List we narrowed it down to a few and began getting estimates.

Perfect. Carl and Ralph were personable and professional when they came to do a quote. They performed the work as described in the amount of time they quoted, for the price they quoted. They removed everything in our kitchen down to the studs, with some drywall work. They put in new cabinets, counter tops, flooring, and lighting. The only thing we kept were the appliances. They made great suggestions about changing the floor plan slightly that made the kitchen much more user friendly. All of the products they recommended are high quality and exactly what we were looking for. They started our job the beginning of November. We knew we would not have a kitchen for Thanksgiving. They told us that they probably would not be able to finish by Christmas, We had a completed new kitchen a few days before Christmas. They went above and beyond to complete the project for us by Christmas. In the after picture they had not restained the window trip, but they did completely finish the window trim and it matchs perfect.

Our house was built in Youngsville, NC in August 2011. The builder left the upstairs unfinished, however the bath and connections for a 2nd air handler were roughed in at the time of the build. In January 2016 we decided that we wanted to finish the upstairs and had some basic ideas what we wanted to include in this project. We contacted three different contractors and settled on Triangle Classic Homes (TCH) for several reasons; 1) because of the great rating from Angie's List 2) because of the feeling we got when Ralph & Carl met with us and walked through our project space, providing great feedback and a real understanding of what we wanted in the finished product 3) finally, the quoted price was right in-line with our budget. TCH began our attic remodel project right around April 1, 2016 with an estimated completion date of June 30. Ralph, one of the co-owners of TCH was our primary contact and did a great job managing our expectations, keeping his sub-contractors on time and helping us to really make our project exactly want we wanted. The entire experience of working with TCH was great, there were no surprises and we rate the work performed as top-notch! The project added over 1400 square feet to our home and includes a large game room, home office, combination craft room/exercise room, a full bath and a wet bar. TCH handled everything for us including coordinating the HVAC work, insulation, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, tile work, all permits, finish carpentry and cleanup. The project was finished on-time & on-budget! We highly recommend Ralph & Carl, if you're looking for a builder/remodeling contractor that is honest and keeps their word then look no further that Triangle Classic Homes. We couldn't be happier with the completed project and feel that the work performed by TCH has added great value to our home. Thanks Ralph & Carl!

Great. Carl and Ralph were personable and professional when they came to do a quote. We were considering a bigger project beyond just the sunroom. They were very upfront about what it would take both from a construction and cost standpoint, and offered more detail than other contractors that we received offers from. They were capable and had the bandwidth for the bigger project, but we appreciated their explanation of why it was even bigger than we were thinking. When it came time for the project, the price on the quote remained the price from the time we signed a contract to finish. Carl handled the communication around the construction of the room and he was always prompt on responding. The price was fair and competitive, and allowed enough room in the budget for nice fixtures, handles and tile without having to go over budget. If one of his crew was scheduled to work our project and ended up having to change to a different day that week, Carl would let us know in a timely fashion. He even had his crew shovel out the space for the footers and foundation instead of removing a portion of our fence to get a bigger piece of equipment in the yard because our fence is relatively new and the ground was still soaked from all the early summer rain. When it came to paint and electrical, they were flexible with letting us add in to our original plan and they were more than reasonable on the price when we did so. All in all, we appreciated their work and are extremely happy with the final product.

This project went great! We received three quotes from three companies and in the end we were getting more for our money with Triangle Classic Homes and they was using qualified resources...including an architect, surveyor and other companies that he has been doing business with for decades. All the people that came to my home were respectful of our property and knowledgeable of their trade. Initially, both Ralph and Carl from Triangle Classic Homes came to our house and discussed our vision. We had an initial consultation and we were given rough estimates just so we could determine the scope of our project within our budget. When we were ready we worked with Carl's team, starting with the architect to get the project and budget to the right place. When we got started we immediately ran into county set back issues...but Carl made multiple visited to the county office and came up with several suggestions and from there we were able to make decisions and alter our project and start construction. From that point it was smooth sailing. We had part of our existing driveway removed because we requested it be replaced as part of the project. Construction started. I was told daily what was going to happen each day, when to expect people coming to the house and who was coming...if anything changed I was also notified. There was a great deal of planning to consider the daily weather too. Carl visited at least once a day if not multiple times a day when we had workers on site. Our HOA is very clear that the job site must be clean and ours was clean and scrap material was carried away as each stage of construction was completed. This was a big project...we minimized changes after the initial plan. However, there were a few minor changes made and we were sure to communicate and Triangle Classic was very clear on the impact on the project. Both the shingles and the brick on our existing house were not in production so Carl worked with multiple suppliers and we were able to find very similar options. We were most impressed that Carl did what he said he was going to do. He was always on time and the project was on budget. We communicated daily and if we had any questions we contacted Carl by phone and he was always willing to educate us...he was always available...and we continually communicated to insure we all were on the same page, Carl knew from day one what was most important to us and he met those requests. We have recommended Triangle Classic to all our friends, family and neighbors who were very impressed with the entire project...we will continue to recommend Triangle Classic and we consider them our contractor. He is my first contact for any future projects.
Description of Work: Built a detached oversized two car garage insulated and sheet rocked, plus an unfinished second floor with rough in plumbing and electrical for future bathroom and HVAC. Plus removal of a large damaged section of our existing driveway and re-installed the section.

Our house was built by Triangle Classic Homes 10 years ago for another homeowner. We have lived here for the past 6 1/2 years. We called up the builder as we are in the process of selling our home. The home inspector found 3 windows that the upper window would fall a few inches after unlocking the window. We were so fortunate that they had a job less than 3 minutes away from us, so the response time was within a couple of hours. Since the repairs were so simple, they did not even charge us. Would not even take a cash tip to buy his lunch. Highly recommend these guys. Because of this great service, we are going to have them add a 3 season room to the home we are moving to.

We worked primarily with Ralph Rohn, and were impressed after our first meeting. We had initially opted to go with another Angie's List contractor, but had to rapidly regroup just before signing - after discovering he misrepresented himself. Thank you Angie's list for all the tips re: things to watch out for! Triangle Classic Homes (TCH) had already been advised they were not selected, but when we shared our story they graciously worked us into their schedule. Indeed being busy was why we didn't choose them initially - plan ahead if you want to work with them! There are multiple similarly qualified suppliers in our area, but what made TCH on the top of our list was the candor Ralph had. In our first discussion he told us he would always give us the "truth till it hurts" (or something like that). We liked this alot. We wanted radical honesty - someone who listened to us, of course, but also told us their opinions along the way. Radical honesty is exactly what we got with TCH. There were times when it got awkward (nobody likes to think their ideas are not the best) but Ralph's commitment to sticking with this approach saved us from at least one major mistake, plus a few minor saves as well. Of course there were multiple times when we insisted on our own way, and after giving his advice, Ralph nevertheless did what we asked. In terms of his sub-contracting relationships, we were happy with most of them, except the flooring outfit. Their work was OK - in truth they made a few mistakes, but did right by correcting them at their own expense. What made this flooring sub-contractor especially disappointing what the lack of professionalism of their employees. But here again, Ralph did right by us and handled the matter on our behalf. In the end, we are extremely happy with the changes to our home, and would recommend TCH to our friends and neighbors.

CARL TO THE RESCUE!!! I cant say enough about the professionalism, punctuality and kindness of Triangle Classic Homes. They were hired third party to finish my house that was taking a horribly long time to complete. Carl with Triangle Classic Homes came in and within a month finished our entire house. The company I was working with before had many grey areas and a lack of communication, but Carl listened to my frustrations and came through on a tight time line...all with a smile on his face. Being a young lady, I felt like I was taken advantage of a bit with my old contractors, but Carl made me feel one hundred percent a part of the process and kept open communication that made me feel safe, valued and taken care of. His motto is ALWAYS customer first. I honestly cant say enough about how happy I was with Triangle Classic Homes. I HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a contractor to hire these guys. You wont be disappointed.

My husband?s new job moved us from my home state (where I lived all my life!) to NC. My husband found us a home that had been updated on the main floor, however, upstairs was from the early 90s. That's when we met Carl and Ralph...and thank goodness we connected!! Their mission was to bring the upstairs into the 21st century before we officially moved in. This included remodeling two bathrooms, all new floors, and a complete refinish on the walls and ceilings. Our new home is now fully renovated and they were fantastic! Not only did the work get done in a very short timeframe, but it was done very professionally. They are great communicators - not something you typically find in this business - and I personally enjoyed interacting and working with them. You can be sure that I'll be calling them for the next project(s)!! Thanks guys for making it easy to come home!!

Contacted TCH in January of 2015. They were not the cheapest quote, nor were they the most expensive. After agreeing to move forward with TCH, we met with ?their? architect and hammered out our vision. This process took about a month of back and forth. Ground was broken on Mother?s Day, 2015. Final inspection passed Nov 13th. Design ? based on our vision AND within our budget. Suggestions were made based on TCH professional experience. Our house has a negative drainage gradient, so moving water away from our house was a primary concern. Construction ? taking into account our three children and the desire to have our yard not look like a work zone especially on the weekends, no dumpster was placed in our drive way. All trash was removed that day or within a few days. Weather delays held up some aspects of construction. TCH installed solutions to mitigate the negative drainage gradient, which have proved capable during and after construction. Interior ? paint, smooth ceilings, new carpet upstairs to match as closely as possible with our existing carpet, new tile in mudroom, removal of existing wood flooring in kitchen and bathroom with new tile in kitchen and bathroom installed. Lights and ceiling fans installed upstairs, all new hardware installed throughout house. Built in shelves/bench in mudroom and shelves in laundry room and linen closet. Exterior ? Removal of existing deck and trellis, basic landscaping (grading) after foundation completed; with shrubs and grass seed planted at completion of project. Installed matching vinyl siding, gutters, windows (with screens), shutters, and replaced two existing exterior doors. Matched shingles to blend with existing shingles. Overall ? very positive experience. We would and have recommended TCH to our friends. The two issues we had were addressed and fixed to meet our expectation. We worked primarily with Ralph. Confident, professional, but not a ?know-it-all.? Ralph encouraged an open dialogue which was important to us. While we had our ideas/visions Ralph would advise if it was realistic or what might be an alternative option to explore. Advice to homeowner ? have patience. Delays are inevitable and in some cases way beyond their control, you?ll find if you are nice to the contractor, he?ll be nice to you.
Description of Work: 16x24 garage, a room above the garage, a 10x10 upstairs bedroom, a washer and dryer room, (total 525 heated square feet) downstairs mudroom, and new 8x7 exterior porch. New tile in existing kitchen and remodeled an existing half-bath off the kitchen.

About a year ago our family decided that we wanted to finish our 3rd floor. After getting bids from a few contractors, we went with Triangle Classic Homes (TCH) and what a fantastic choice it turned out to be! So much so, that we hired them to perform another project for us recently, but let's talk about the 3rd floor remodel first. Carl and Ralph both showed up on time (a rarity for services in my experience) and actually listened to what we wanted, which was to "make the 3rd floor look like it was supposed to be here" -- we wanted to avoid that "hey, you finished your basement/3rd floor" look -- it needed to be a natural part of the house. Carl and Ralph had no pre-conceived notions, and were able to guide our thought process to get to a mutual understanding before they set off to create a bid for us. The bid came back a couple of days later, and was way more detailed that I had imagined -- right down to the specific number of 2x4's! Once construction began, the respect for our family by TCH and their subs (we had to live here while this was happening after all) was outstanding -- I cannot stress enough, that they listened first, then made recommendations to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The entire finishing took a bit under a month, and included trim, built-ins, a bonus room, bathroom, bedroom and HVAC, and we were constantly kept in the loop about who would be showing up at what time with plenty of notice all the way through final walkthrough. The experience was so good, that earlier this week, we called them up to bid on a deck/porch extension and get some hardwoods installed on the 2nd floor. Just like the first project -- promptness and professionalism were the order of the day. The bid came back today, and we will be selecting them for this endeavor as well, with work to begin in a couple of weeks. In conclusion, if you want a contractor that will be late, not listen to your input/concerns, not respect your property and family, deliver the project late, make sure you are in the dark as to what is going on, be unreasonably priced, and make you feel like you are an inconvenience, then you should look elsewhere. However, if you want to feel like you are a part of the process with a team of professionals guiding you and excelling in their craft, then TCH is a no-brainer, and you should definitely consider them for your project. I will write a short update to this review once the current deck/hardwood project is complete.

From start to finish, we were completely thrilled with Triangle Classic Homes. We would do the whole job over with them, and any future job we will ever have, without hesitation. We had numerous builders over to look at our attic and give us an estimate. Our job took a higher level of skill because of adding the window and dormer. We wanted a builder who was a competent builder and yet still had "business" skills of responsiveness, thorough estimates, easy to work with, and diligent. On top of all that, we wanted a fair price! Builder after builder did not meet that criteria, and we started to question if what we wanted in a builder even existed. When Carl and Ralph left after seeing our attic the first time, we looked at each other and said "if the price is decent, they are our guys!" The estimated price came back fair (and we had 8-9 other bids to compare it with.) We hired them immediately. Most parts of the job went very smoothly. Any issue that did come up was addressed immediately and handled well. I had no anxiety about how this would turn out or how much it would cost in the end throughout the whole process. That is priceless! We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
Description of Work: We hired Triangle Classic Homes to finish out our 3rd floor walk-up attic. They knocked a dormer with a double-window and finished the room - framing, drywall, painting, carpet, etc. They also built a temperature-controlled unfinished storage closet in the other portion of the attic. Our attic was a bare-boned attic with no windows and they transformed it into a 400 square foot bonus room/office with a huge window and built in bookshelves along one side of the room.

We had a master bathroom addition built by Triangle Classic Homes and we absolutely love it! Our addition was completely new construction (not a remodel) and included dual vanities, air bath tub, tile shower with dual shower heads, a linen closet, a separate water closet and a walk-in closet. In total, it was approximately 240 square feet elevated about 10 feet over our driveway. Carl & Ralph were both very easy to talk to and work with. They were very knowledgeable and guided us through the process from start to finish. We liked the fact that they were always up front and honest about issues we may run into along the way. For example, our HVAC system is an older unit...they warned us that the inspector may request that we upgrade it. That didn't happen, but we knew about the possibility before we even agreed to move forward with the addition so there weren't any surprises along the way. They communicated well, always answered our questions and addressed our concerns. They were eager to please and went out of their way on multiple occasions to ensure the bathroom turned out the way we wanted it. Their time estimate was spot on...they said 3 months and that's what it took. We've been using the new addition for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. It's everything we wanted and we couldn't be happier. If we ever have another addition or remodel project, we'll definitely be giving Carl & Ralph at Triangle Classic Homes a call. Give them a chance to talk to you about your project...you won't be disappointed.

Triangle Classic Homes Owner - Ralph Rohn Overview: Quality: 5 stars Timeliness of completion of work for my house: · July 2015 - 2 days for painting an entire house with a crew of 6-7. Crew leader: Jesus · December 2010 - 1.5 days for roofing an entire 2500 square foot 1.5 story house. Crew leader: Rudy · January 2011 - 3 days for new sheetrock and painting living room wall that suffered mold buildup from previous leaking roof. Note: spackling needs time to dry overnight properly before painting. Crew leader: another Jesus · May 2014 - 1 week for gutters due to unexpected complications> Crew leader: Noberto In general Ralph?s subcontracted crews work extremely fast, methodically, professionally, and clean up well. Ralphs demeanor: Likes to kid around with the home owner with the intent with of establishing a long term friendship. If you are the type who easily gets offended with someone who is not politically correct and has a dry sense of humor you may not like Ralph. I like Ralph. Demeanor of Ralph?s subcontractor crew leaders: cheerful and eager to do good work. Ralph?s Philosophy: Customer does not pay anything until the job is complete and customer is completely satisfied. Generally prefers a verbal contract and what is written is not highly detailed. With most contractors before Ralph I found it necessary for a detailed contract because of their dishonesty. With Ralph I found it is only necessary to be basically clear what I want. He has the experience and character to get it done correctly. It you do find something that one of his crews did not do correctly then simply and nicely call it to his attention without panicking and he will gladly make sure it is corrected to your satisfaction in a timely manner (no long drawn out delays). The only time I panicked was during the gutter install when two of Noberto?s crew during his absence did not seal the end-caps properly and align the downspouts properly. When I showed Noberto the evidence he cheerfully corrected the issues himself. I?ve come to realize I don?t have to babysit any of Ralph?s crews like I have had to do with other contractors when Ralph was booked up solid with other customers. With Ralph?s crews for the most part - watch and be amazed with delight. The only negative: Ralph is partial to Plygem windows because Plygem gives contractors the least amount of grief and better discounts. My experience with Plygem, even their high end windows, is of poor quality in protection from the elements. Note: they were installed by a previous contractor. When I ordered replacement casement sashes I had to return the first set due to poor packaging and scarring. On the replacement set a year after install, the flaps that protect from the rain began to tear off easily when opening the window. Note: Plygem took over M&W Windows. Note: even a good quality window will not last long if poorly installed whereas a poorer quality window will last longer if installed properly and homeowner follows manufacturer?s instructions for proper maintenance. Advice: When it comes to windows and siding it is best to budget/ set aside in advance at least $35K for a 2600 square foot house. Reason is the manufacturers of siding change their thickness on a regular basis and window manufacturers also do not maintain backwards compatibility when it comes to dimensions. Twenty year old windows and siding cannot be replaced piecemeal which my wife and I have learned the frequently frustrating and expensive way over the last 20 years. My recommendations for: · Siding - LP Smartside · Windows - Marvin Be careful even with installers who have been certified in installing certain product lines. Certification does not necessarily mean they will actually execute a proper install. My regret is that Ralph was tied up back to back with large contracts when we realized we needed a major overhaul done at once. The contractor who was certified and who had a five star rating on Home Advisor who installed the LP Smartside and Marvins was a nightmare. After three months of nightmares, we checked the website for his ratings and they were no longer on the website. We had to force them to get the work done properly after showing them over 500 photos and documenting thoroughly things poorly done and destroyed. They backed out of painting our house when they realized to total cost of repairs would exceed $30K in which case a building permit is needed in Raleigh, NC. Fortunately Ralph?s painting contractor Jesus made up for our previous trauma and our house looks beautiful again. Ralph of Triangle Classic Homes is my go to contractor when he is not tied up with other major contracts. If you need piecemeal work done then it is likely you will need to hunt for a handyman who has good recommendations from people you have met face to face and not ratings on some website. A ratings website is a good start to narrow down your choices but ideally should be followed up with your own personal contacts face to face, phone calls, emails, etc with people whose judgment you already trust. Review is copy/pasted from Ms Word 2007 document.
