Triangle's Other Woman

The person assigned to do the work was very pleasant however she was late for the initial consultation. She had an acceptable explanation--life happens. But the second appointment to get started she got the time wrong and I was unable to contact her for most of the day. Time was of essence in this situation and most of the work was to be done on the weekends. I had no confidence in the service after that and decided I didn't need someone who was flaky as me. I needed reliable help. So I ended up doing the work myself. I was told she was the best at organizing. I would consider the company again, I'd just request a different person and allot a longer timeframe for work to be done.

On April 12th, the company sent one of their newer employees for housekeeping...bathrooms, floors, vacuuming, dusting, counters, etc. The girl they sent ended up stealing more than $400 in cash, $100 in gift cards, and 2 blank checks from us. She also attempted to steal drugs (Hydrocodone) from us as well, but my wife found discovered them before the girl finished for the day. Unfortunately, the stealing of our money and checks wasn't discovered until shortly after she left. The company was notified immediately about the drugs and the money, in addition to a police report filed. The police knew exactly who the girl was, since she had several warrants out for her arrest already. Sarah Benken, the owner of Triangle's Other Woman as well as Metro's Other Woman in Charlotte, stated that she would help us in any way she could, but also stated that she was limited by the rules her Bonding & Insurance company. She claimed that the only way their bonding company would pay to reimburse us for what was stolen from us, was if there was an actual conviction of that employee. In other words, Sarah decided that, after sending an employee with a criminal record and a known heroin addict into our home, she was not responsible for any of it, and was going to hide behind her alleged bonding & insurance company. I have requested proof of their bonding & insurance policies, but she has refused to provide them. She also assured me that this employee was background checked and drug tested, and that everything was fine enough to hire the girl and send her into our home. We also learned that this girl was fired from her last housekeeping job for stealing, and she was accused of stealing from one of Sarah's clients right before Sarah sent her into our home! I did a simple Google search, and in less than 30-seconds, I was able to find that the girl had been arrested 4 times in the past 5 years. (assault, passing worthless checks, failure to appear, and probation violation). And, with a little more digging, I found that her live-in boyfriend has an even longer criminal record, including possession of stolen firearms, resisting arrest, assault with deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury, probation violations, failures to appear and more. The boyfriend's younger brother, who lives with both of them, has quite an impressive criminal record as well. In speaking with the detective assigned to our case, he says that 4 different police departments have been looking for this girl and her boyfriend for a long time, and that there is no way that all of this wouldn't have shown up on a background check. My belief is that a background check or drug test were ever done on this girl. I've called Sarah out on this, and she has never responded to my inquiries about the drug test and/or the background check. Sarah has refused to reimburse me for ANY of the charges I had to prepay her, or for the money that her employee stole from my family. And, she stopped responding to any message I left for her more than 3 weeks ago. Before you hire Triangle's Other Woman or Metro's Other Woman, be sure to demand proof that they are bonded and insured, and only allow them to send someone into your home that has a proven and recommended track record with their other clients. But also know, that if anything goes wrong with the service, Sarah Benken will NOT stand behind her company and make things right for you. She has certainly proven this with our case.

I purchased a voucher to have my home cleaned up to 3000 sq feet. I sent an email to ask how it worked and was told that the cleaners would come and clean my home up to 3000 sq feet just like the ad said. I purchased the coupon and didn't use it until 8 months later. I made the apt and when the girl came she told me she would be there for 3 hours. I dont't know anyone that can clean a 3000 sq foot house in 3 hours. She cleaned my kitchen, dining room, 1/2 bath and family room. They did not have a vacuum. When she left, there were still spots on the cabinets and refrigerator that were not wiped off. She didn't move the dining room chairs to clean the floor and there was still cereal on the floor under the kitchen table from that morning where my nephew missed his mouth. The girl was nice but she took 3 personal calls while she was there and I did not feel like I got my value for what I paid for. I called Molly Maids that afternoon and got a quote. They will send a 2 person team for 3-4 hours for less than the cost of their one person team for 3 hours.

I first learned about them through groupon and have set up cleaning service with them for about a year now and am very happy. They work with my crazy schedule and make changes last minute for me with no hassle.
