I was very happy with the service. They were knowledgeable and very professional. They arrived on time and completed their work in a timely fashion. They also took time to explain what they were doing. I would recommend them without question.

They were prompt and on time, were very profession and went right to work. They did three separate systems and were out in a couple of hours.

Derek was very thorough. He did a great job explaining what was wrong, how he fixed it and told me of other repairs that should be looked at in the future. I will request him for my future repairs.

It turned out good. I had to pay extra for diagnostics. The technician was very courteous and informative. They got the job done in about an hour and a half. The scheduling was excellent.

.Our air handler (fan) was not putting out much air. I checked myself and verified that the fan was turning, but much slower than it should. I called several companies recommended on Angie's List, and Thermo Direct was the only one who could get someone here on a Saturday, and promised time within 3 hours. They quoted a one time price of $59 for the visit + any additional labor/materials. They arrived about 2.5 hours later (30 minutes before their promised deadline), explained their pricing system before they started, quickly confirmed my diagnosis, replaced a fan capacitor (maybe a $15 part), verified that the fan started properly and that no further problems would prevent our heat from running properly. They verified our heat was bringing up the house temperature and checked the output temperature of several registers. They also recorded the part number of the air handler and cooling system. After this, they disappeared into their van for a bit to write up the ticket. They charged the $59 for the visit, then an additional $99 for the service, but did not charge for the capacitor. The Good: They came on a Saturday faster than promised. They found the problem/confirmed the problem, and had it fixed quickly. They did not charge an extra Saturday fee, or extra for having two people, and they did not charge for the capacitor. They always wore booties over their shoes when they stepped into our house, were very courteous, and explained what they were doing and what they had found. The Bad: I told them what was wrong, and told them to check the capacitor first, the only other item I thought it might be would be the motor. I was disappointed that they charged me $158 for 20 minutes of verification and a $10 part. If I had been able to figure out where to get the part, I would've tried that first. I'm sure had it been something more complicated I would've appreciated the "flat fee" pricing, but as it was, I was disappointed that they chose to not charge the originally discussed $59, plus some reasonable amount ($20ish?) for the capacitor.

Evaporator was very dirty. Tech Derek was very good explaining ductwork problems and air flow concerns with my son.

The vendor representative was extremely nice, considerate and informative. I felt he was one of the more conscientious workmen I've seen in a while - he even wore "booties" when coming in the house! The punctuality was driven by the wrong information given by the office staff. One has to enter my address exactly as there are two similar addresses in the city - one on the other side of town so this resulted in the workman being late, and it took longer than he anticipated. Even with these delays, I feel they are a very reputable and knowledgeable vendor and would recommend them for use.

My experience was pretty good. I would say I am overall happy and they were good. They did charge me more than $ 55, but that was for some extra service not included in the voucher. They showed up on time and they seemed to know what they were doing.

Everything went okay. I ended up spending more money for extra diagnostics that they said was necessary.

Everything went fine. It was a good deal. The only thing was it happened a little faster than I'm used to so I'm really not sure what he did because in the past when I've done this sort of maintenance on HVAC systems it would normally take about an hour-and-half and this guy, he finished it within 45 minutes, so. And, again, I'm not saying he took any shortcuts but he was definitely shorter than what I'm used to, so I really am not sure if he did what he said he was going to do. And then he tried to sell me one of his regular contracts which is many hundred dollars more than what I paid in the big deal.

Fine. Professional and thorough.

Showed up on time. Diagnosed problem. Fixed it. Warned me that the fix would only last a short time. I bought a big deal from Angie's List on this service. However, the service guys had to go through what was and wasn't covered. The service guys finally made it clear to me, but it wasted some time for them and me. Thermo Direct and other service providers should make it very clear what their big deals or other services include and do not include. They should remember that most people like me really do not know much about the terms, functions, and other aspects of the service and machinery the professionals are working with. In the end, the Thermo Direct service guys did what the big deal said they would, plus educated me on their different services.

The cleaning went well and the unit runs better. The ductwork was rerouted efficiently, but contained lower quality material than we previously had. The tubing used to drain the water from the evaporator pan and pump is also very thin and will need to be replaced every year or two I imagine. We had two mis-communications about scheduling, but when those were straightened out and confirmed the men were prompt and friendly.

The install seemed to go fairly well although the first day after it was installed the unit couldn't cool the upstairs area sufficiently. It was doing some moderate level of cooling but it couldn't reach the set point during the warmest period of the day and would thus run non-stop for several hours (until after dark) but would only cool to within 3-5 degrees warmer than the set point. So I called the company and they returned a few days later and changed a sensor in the thermostat they said was bad and checked the coolant and top it off and left. The next day it still couldn't get cool enough so they came back again and eventually a fourth time and made some modifications each time but the system still can't reach the set point. At this point they don't seem to know what to do to get it working correctly.

Prompt, professional, curtious good price

Arrived on time, confirmed units working to specification. Identified potential future issues with units rusting, but excellent service and no pressure to buy follow on services.

Thermo Direct were great! Their technician, Brandon L., was at our house for a few hours trying to diagnose the problem. He explained in detail to me the things that were wrong, and gave us a recommendation for a new system. He was up front about pricing, and gave us a book to look through about the different club levels we can sign up for once things get going. He was punctual, professional, and easy to talk to. They are coming to give us an estimate for a new system since our old one was not repairable. We will compile quotes from a few places, so we may not end up going with their system. But, even if we don't, we would hire them again! They were great!

They took care of my A/C and serviced it. Everything was fine. Came on schedule. He seemed knowledgeable and took about an hour to work on it.

Great, excellent, they were quick and very easy to communicate with. I will definitely use this company again in the future. Tonka was great to work with and very quick to respond.

Jimmy showed up on time and was very friendly. He let me know about some areas that needed attention and answered all my questions.

I called and didn't leave a message - it was 7:10 am and our heat was not working. Before I could call the next company, Tonka called and was SO friendly and professional. She promised the person would be there before 10:00 and he was - I think his name was Derek. Super friendly, competent, honest and fixed our heater! We would absolutely use Thermo Direct again. Excellent experience.

Technician Jimmy Alston was promptly at the residence at the agreed upon time and got immediately to work. We closed on the property earlier that same day so this was an eagerly anticipated report. Jimmy did an extremely thorough job with a well written summary including pictures of some potential trouble areas to pay attention to. He offered advice on several items and explaned their maintenance program--all with no pressure. He indicated the run capacitors on both systems were weak and should be replaced--I indicated I was not afraid to take on that type of job so he explained the process and offered some tips--very nice! I would definitely recommend Thermo Direct and will utilize their services in the future.

Excellent service and explained everything to my mother in law. Made her feel better before the upcoming season.
