The Tile Shop

They were very pushy and unprofessional. I made the mistake of buying tile from them and quickly learned that their interest in the customer ends once you've made a purchase. They told me they would email me a list of their recommended installers but they never did, even though I followed up three times. It took three phone calls to two different people to get the names and phone numbers. I finally got so frustrated that I returned the tile and was treated very rudely, despite being well within the return policy. I would definitely not recommend wasting any time with them.

She was such a great and patient person. Very willing to help. Worked on getting 3 seperate patterns but coordinating it all together. She had unlimited patience. She was more than willing to let us take tile home to see if that is what she wanted. I highly recommended her.

When we were in there, we were pleased with the help that we received. There was one person we did talk with and she actually made a suggestion that we used. Even though we were using a different installer, they considered us their customer as well. I thought that was very nice of them. They had very nice customer service. They provided what they said they would when they said they would. It was what we expected it to be. They gave us samples that we were able to keep as long as we needed. They were just very responsive to dealing with us. We were happy with the shop. The shop did a good job working with us.

We selected 4 samples to consider for our kitchen we were remodeling. We decided on Navajo and worked with the team at the shop to order what we needed and used their list of reccomended installers to decide on who to hire to install. We went with TileBros.com - Justin gave me a quote over the phone and when I described what we were doing and would need some creative work to address the outlets and switches. He was excited about the prospect and said he was confident he could come up with some good solutions that would work. The team arrived on time and they had picked up the tile from the store for us. Justin and his assistent worked the whole day to get the backsplash up and ensure they set in the outlet and switch plates just right, so they blended in with the rest of the stone. We are just thrilled with the outcome.

Michael Clouser, the manager, recommended the backsplash match my countertop. He also gave excellent recommendations for contractors to install the tile.

Store is neat, clean and professionally laid out with beautiful design ideas. Staff was attentive and courteous. Several marble pieces had filler placed in chips while at the factory, therefore I rated the quality a "C" (fair). The Tile Shop did not hesitate to exchange these pieces. I would like to add that the other material and tile throughout the store looked to be very good quality. The extended store hours were also very helpful.

Overall fair I had to wait about thirty minutes before i was helped without interruptions. The sales person kept running back and forward between me and customers coming in for pick up orders. I only saw 2 other people working there and one of them was on the phone and register. They seemed short staffed. The selection I finally made was based partly on his recommendation the other half was mine.

Not much to tell here as far as a start-to-finish story. We came to The Tile Shop to look for tile to use on our kitchen backsplash. They have a huge selection of tile and were quite helpful in the process of narrowing down which tiles would work well for us. We made our selection and placed our order. It came in exactly on time. They helped us in selecting the tools and other supplies we would need for the installation. Their prices on these ancillary things were higher than in the big-box hardware places (the blue place and the orange place). But the professional advice that came with it was well worth it. Any time that I had an installation question through the process, there was always someone available to talk to me on the phone. And for the most part, their sales people were quite knowledgeable since they had done tile installation before working there. When we had one box of tile left, or any other unused supplies, they happily took it all back and gave a full refund, not store credit.
