The Mad Hatter Air Duct Cleaning & Chimney Sweep

Inital phone call was answered quickly. I was happy that they offered next day service. They were punctual when they arrived, and began work immediately. Cleaned the dryer vent and duct. It looked like a show storm when all the lint came out. They also installed a 'bird guard' on the outside of the vent, to prevent future bird problems. Finally, they vacuumed the lint from the ground around the outside of the house! The entire operation took less than an hour. I coudn't be happier with the service.

They were prompt, thorough, helpful and professional. I would recommend them and I will always use them!

n.Eric was on time and professional. Before stepping in the house he handed me a business card and explained what he would be doing. He put booties on his feet and a mat in front of the door to prevent dirt and soot from being tracked throughout the house. He quickly went to work. After inspecting, he told me that the chimney did not need to be cleaned but that there were a few issues that made the fireplace unsafe. He said that he would recommend that I wouldn't use it until I could make the repairs, but did not insist on making the repairs. He presented me with the cost options and explained what would give me the most savings. After I told him to begin the repair, he went right to work and completed the job within the hour. He thoroughly explained to me how to prime the panels to prevent cracking and that they would be back to install the chimney cap when the parts came in. I was very impressed with this company and would hire them again.

Came out to clean dryer vent. After he inspected it he said that it was clean and did not need cleaning. Due to this, he reduced the price to the inspection fee. He was very professional and thorough.

Excellent service -- arrived on time (actually early) and described what would happen -- looking at the venting, cleaning, etc. The technician (Kent) was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. He also moved the dryer to prevent future blockages. I was very pleased with the service. I would say, it felt a little expensive for less than 30 minutes of work but to have the service well done and professionally handled is a true benefit.

Cleaning was not what I expected. I could have cleaned better. They were suppose to inspect the fireplace and all they did was an inside visual. The "Angie List" coupons stated a thorough inspections which included going on the roof. They did an inspection from the ground. How do you inspect chimney flashing from the ground? It was a waste of money in my opinion.

I made an appointment - last one of the day. I told them to clean dryer vent and chimney and that they must call me when they were on the way. I was assured I would receive a 30 min heads up. They were running ahead of schedule and asked if they could come early - yes. reminded them they must call when on the way. I did not receive another call. I went to house at revised appointment time. He had already been and gone. Still no call. Office called the next day for payment. I expressed my disgust with their failure to call and to clean chimney ! He apoligised and adjusted bill.

The technicians were polite, responsive and thorough. They showed up on time and performed the services in a professional manner.

Scheduling was easy and they arrived on time. The guys explained what they were going to do, showed me the build-up in my air ducts prior to cleaning and after. They did a great job and I would certainly use them again as well as recommend them.

Everything was done very well. pointed out some thing I could do on my own. They fixed a few minor items at no cost.

They came on time, explained to me what they were going to do and went quickly to work. I watched as they did the work, pulling out a lot of fiber from the vent. They cleaned up the mess after the vent was cleaned out. After the work was finished, one of the men told me to expect improvement in drying time and showed me how to tell when the vent is getting clogged. He said vents needed to be cleaned every few years or so depending on the usage.

Great! I am so glad I did the whole house and went with Mad Hatters. Very Satisfied.

Overall it went very well. We had not cleaned our vents ever, so they were incredibly dirty. It did take longer than the time quoted, but since there was a lot to clean, that did not surprise me. Our serviceman was very nice and worked very quietly. He cleaned up all of the mess and ensured I was happy with his work. He was a few minutes late, which is why I did not give an "A" for punctuality. However, the overall service was so good that those few minutes do not matter. I have noticed that my dryer and air conditioning work much better. We will use our chimney soon enough and I feel safer knowing its clean. I will be using this company for future work.

Ivory showed up within the 1/2 hour window I was given and got right to work. He was very polite, very methodical, answered any questions and was very careful making sure everything was back in place. I did not get multiple quotes for this work and that is why I listed C for price. It's is not a negative reflection since I am very happy with the work provided.

That went good too. They were exceptionally good. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. They gave very good advice and very good tips for maintaining the HVAC.

The guys were professional, friendly and did a great job! They came back 2 days later to clean one more small area they could not reach before a new whole house filter was installed the day after their original cleaning. Rather than skip it, they volunteered to come back. I also thought I needed service for the 2 fireplaces but after an inspection they said they looked like they were in great shape. They checked out the dryer vent instead and cleaned that and adjusted it to be shorter and more efficient. Awesome experience. I will hire them again for our fireplaces in a few years.

We purchased a 22 year old "fixer upper" where previous owner had cats. I have allergies and I was unable to breath comfortably in the home. Mad Hatter came right out. They also showed me some mold spores in the ducts and spray treated for that. The difference in the home's odor and my ability to breath improved immediately. They were very professional.

I do not have anybody to compare them to and I used them for the first time. They seemed to do a very thorough job.

I love Mad Hatter. I use to be a property manager and I used them for all my chimney and dryer vent cleaning. I also used them on my personal residence. I moved out of the area for 6 years and when I moved back I needed to get my house in order from the tenants that had been in there. My first call was to the cleaners and my second was to Mad Hatter. They came out and took care of everything. Thanks for always being there no matter how long I am gone!

I left work early for a Friday 4:00 pm appointment. No one showed up. Called and left message and here it is Monday afternoon and no word. No need for them to bother to call now. I just made an appointment with someone else. So much for their Angie's List rating!!
