They did a good job. They were on time and they were neat. They did the work well and it was not too expensive.

We found the carpet and tile we wanted at a reasonable price and because the store was close to our home, we decided to try Terry's. Angela, our sales rep, was pleasant enough at the outset, but we quickly came to believe she was a master at mis-measuring -- always in the company's favor. With the carpet, there was not enough carpet to complete the job, and we were told that we had not included one bedroom in the estimate. We had been quite specific in what we wanted her to measure. After a few rounds and my wife tired of arguing with Angela, we gave in and paid for the "extra" carpet -- only to find out that the installers had improperly cut the first set of carpet and that - had they properly cut -- we would not have needed to pay for "extra" carpet. A few weeks later came the tile. When I arrived home to see the installer putting in less tile than we ordered, I immediately phoned Angela -- and she, AGAIN, accused me of misrepresenting what I wanted done. At that point, I explained that if the job was not finished correctly, I would not be paying. Had I not been an attorney, I imagine my threat would have gone ignored. The lesson here is that if you have to use this company, walk every inch of every measurement with Angela, and make her write every measurement and every instruction down so that even an idiot can know what Angela is promising to do. Otherwise, expect her to add 15%, or more, to your bill and to blame the change on you.

This company had installed the carpeting in my home when I first bought it twenty years ago. When I called, a company representative made two to four visits to assess my needs regarding the immediate job (installing ceramic tile), but also worked with me to assess my overall flooring needs as the changes were being made for health reasons. Before the work on the tile began,we had obtained measurements and estimates on several other jobs that were needed. At least one of these jobs was subsequently done. On the day the tile was to be installed, the worked arrived promptly and completed the task in record time, taking only about half a day. On a second day, they installed the shoe molding and on a third, completed the carpentry. All work. The company representative was my contact, oversaw all work personally, and checked it upon completion before I paid. The cost was exactly what was estimated. I was pleased!

I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. THEY HIRED SUBCONTRACTORS AND WE THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO DO THE WORK THEMSELVES. THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING WHILE THEY WERE WORKING. THEY MESSED UP, AND THEY DIDN'T WANT TO COME BACK AND FIX IT.
