+ -1 moreReally nice people but terrible inspectors. To date, we've spent close to $40,000 fixing things that a.) they missed and claimed they had no responsibility for (citing NC law) or b.) they missed, claimed responsibility for and agreed to repair and c.) ultimately refused to pay because they claimed "our guy" wanted too much... so they suggested "their guy" who low-balled the estimate and then charged us triple the estimate to do the work (more than "our guy" would have charged). We still face additional repairs on the area in question and know that we will incur the repair costs ourselves because the inspector will not honor his agreement to remedy that which he knows he missed.
Description of Work: We hired TerraTech on the recommendation of our realtor when we purchased our 25-year old home in October of 2007. Because their owner is a structural engineer, we were led to believe that they were the best option for inspecting an older home with several of the concerns we noted including several floors that were a tad slanted.
