Terminix - Raleigh -Termite & Pest Control

They seem to do fine. They show up when they say they are going to. They let me know that they've been there with songs and things. I've never had any problem with them. I don't know that I've actually compared their price but I'm comfortable with what they are charging me. They show up on time. I actually don't see them because they come and do the outside.

They come out quarterly. They come out when they say they would do what they say they would. If they see some bugs in between they would come out and do some spray treatment again.

The last time around, the work they did was fine. I have not had any problems inside the house, so I guess their work is pretty good. I pay $75 every two months. They do a fine job. I think they rest on their reputation. They answer my questions honestly, and I am very satisfied with them. I have nothing to compare their price to, so I assume it is good. I would use them again in the future; if I did not like them, I would not be using them.

It was great. The guy that comes out everytime is great.

We have been very pleased with their work.

This report is for the Terminix based in Mebane. I'm not positive if this is the correct location for this report. The inspector was prompt, courteous and thorough. He went into the garage, all around the house and under the crawlspace. He found evidence of termites in 6 places in the garage. I liked the fact that he did a follow up call -- he was the only inspector of the estimates that I got who did that. The estimate was about four times the price of other estimates that I got because it included work to put in a crawlspace dehumidifier. I was told that I needed to do this in order to be eligible for the termite damage warranty (the other companies that I got estimates from did not offer termite damage warranties). The warranty would have excluded the garage (where there was active termite activity) for two years. The estimate was for $3,660. The part that was for the termite treatment was actually much lower than other companies ($510), but it was wrapped into the total price. To keep the warranty active I would have had to pay $125 for the termite coverage plan plus $225 for the moisture condition service plan each subsequent year. I chose another company because I did not think the crawlspace dehumidifier was necessary or worth the price.

I pay them quarterly. They are supposed to do an exterior peripheral foundation pest control. Their work is very effective. They keep the roaches and crickets out of the house. It's interesting how they schedule. They had said they would be here by 9:46 in the morning and came out by 9:31.

They have offices spread out all over.

I have a service contract with them and they come quarterly. They come as scheduled and explain everything in detail. They do a good job and I will continue to use them in future.

The service calls are done after a phone call to work out a time and date. They always show up on the date, but the timing is sometimes off by a couple of hours but you don't have to be home for the overall service so it's no big deal. They do have a big turnover of people. I would say over the years, maybe 34 visits, we have seen at least 8 different techs. The bottom line is that we have not had any termite problems.

We continue to use them because they have dependable name. They have also worked for a couple of years with us. We would like them to lower their prices. We spend about $45a month have different thing and $75 the next because we do different things every month.

I have a service contract with them and I don?t think, they have done a good job, as there are a lot of insects still. I will not use their services in future.

We are happy with them. They charge $35 per visit. The price is pretty reasonable. They always get the work the done quickly. We bought this house and we were able to extend the previous owner’s contract with Termix. There was some termite damage, which they covered. Their customer service is really good. The people that they send out are very knowledgeable and nice. I would use them again in the future too.

I would never recommend them. They scared us to death by telling that the molds would ruin our house. They charged $8500. I told them that we would take of everything on our own and for a cheaper price. They said that we had a horrible mold problem and scared us. I took the check back and decided to take a second opinion. They had just exaggerated the problem. They scared us so much that we wrote a check for that amount. It was a fear tactics. We just felt messed up. I don?t trust them. It?s difficult to trust someone who tried to blow away $85oo for a problem that was not a bid deal at all. I felt mislead. I?m very angry about it. It?s like a racket. They just scare people and try to take people?s money. I would recommend not giving them money until you get a second opinion. I would never use them in the future.

I pay them $87 quarterly. They treat the entire outside of the house for 90 pests. Here cobwebs are ridiculous so what they do is wipe down all the cobwebs in the house.

We are on a contract with them. I don?t always have to be home when they come. The always leave a report. They are very good about calling and when they do need to come to the house, they let us know and we let them in. They are professional. They have been good so far.

I have a quarterly plan with them and they charge me per visit. The experience was fine. They only spray outside. I do try to catch it when they do the automated appointment. I try to call them and tell them to change it to a time when I can be here so they can spray inside. I feel that if I am paying $65.00 for a visit, I want it be inside and out. It usually works out fine when they do inside also as long as I am here. They are always good about changing appointments. I have been with them a long time so I know I am getting a better deal than other folks where they have kept the same contract price with me. If somebody new was doing it, they might think they are expensive. My brother had them with a house half the size of mine and they were charging him $80.00 a visit so he quit using them. The price is good for me because I am on a contract with them, because of my time with them, and the fact that they haven't increased the rate.

Before we bought our home Terminix told us we could continue othe terite contract on the home. After we moved in they said they would have to re-treat the entire home to place it under cotract at a price about $400 more than a reputable independent. I didn't like they way I was treated

Terminix did the initial spraying on the foundation when the house was built. So we picked up their contract on a yearly basis and have been using them for the last 17 years. They don?t spray, but they inspect for termites. We have had some problems with them. They always try to sell you on everything in the world. They are not cheap. We caught them in a problem about 4 years ago in which they overlooked a termite tunnel on the inside of the house coming up from the ground. It never got anywhere and it didn?t do any damage. We called them out when we found out about it. They completely serviced, sprayed and did everything they had to do to make sure that none of them were there. They keep talking about high moisture content in the crawlspace and that?s the way they sell you on doing a bunch of work. About 99% of the homes in this area have never had that. The price started out at $125 a year. They come out once a year to check out to make sure that there are no termites or any remnants of termites. So it?s about $180 a year now. Their punctuality is fine. We are still using their services.

The man was professional but the cost was very high.

Overall it has gone well; a little confusion in the beginning but appointments have been kept and service representatives are knowledgeable and courteous.

It went great. They said it was fine for people to be around the house so we didn't have to leave the house while they were doing the job. We will use them again in the future.

They were very professional. The work that they performed was nothing out of the ordinary. We have entered into a service contract with them. We are satisfied with their service.

Initial extermination service was performed on a Thursday evening. Treatment itself was not the issue. I explained to and showed the tech a brand-new ant infestation that showed up the morning of the service. He explained that the treatment that he had with him was mainly a spot treatment that served as more of a barrier, but might not fix the source of the problem. He told me that if I continued to have problems, to call back (800-284-7911) and have them schedule a re-service, at which point he would attack the problem with baits. On the following Monday morning I still had kitchen ants, so I called back the 800 number to schedule a reservice and was told that none were available this week because, "both service managers were in training all week." She scheduled me an appointment for a week and a half away. Unhappy with that response, I immediately contacted the sales person who originally signed my contract - Sean Kelley (919-610-7555). He did not answer that day so I left a voicemail. After more than 24 hours (Tuesday afternoon), I had not received a call-back so I tried him again, at which point he answered his phone. He again explained the issue of the Service Managers not being available, but that he could do some checking for me because he had access to local schedules that the call center in Fayetteville (800-number) did not. He promised to call me back the following morning to let me know what he could do. As of this writing, it is Saturday afternoon and I have not received a call-back and Sean's number does NOT appear in my caller ID log. This is not the level of professionalism and follow-up that I am used to with other companies, and will likely not renew my service if this continues.

Things are going very well with them. They were very informative on the phone. They had a wide range of items that they explained those and what they would use. We had a special concern with the use of oxygen in the home and they were able to use pesticides that would not create any odors. They were very successful.
