Terminix - Raleigh -Termite & Pest Control

The first time they came out, they sprayed inside and out. They came back and sprayed the outside and the attached storage building. They require a service contract when you first sign up for a year and the come out on a quarterly basis which $75 a quarter. They gave me the option for the internal treatment, but I have been out of town, so it was not always feasible. One can call and reschedule, but I haven?t used them since I moved back, after doing some remodeling. I thought I would shop around and see if I could find someone local. They seem to have been pretty effective in terms of preventing spiders from getting inside the house, but it is not an all around spray, so it did not help with things like ants.

When I originally discovered the swarm I called Terminex's Raleigh office. They didn't were not supportive whatsoever. Then I realized that the original people that performed my inspection were from the Pittsboro offfice. They deserve an A in my book. Whenever I have a concern, they answer all my questions. I highly recommend this branch of Terminex.

Everything has gone very well. They come when they say they are going to come, which I appreciate, and I will continue to use them.

The first individual sprayed inside and outside on the initial visit, as well as the crawl space and storage building. The wolf spiders became more scarce inside after the treatment. Seemed to be working so we kept using them after the contract expired, although they only sprayed the exterior perimeter. We did have the option to schedule an interior treatment, but I have terrible allergies, work at home, and didn't want to breathe the fumes. (We also had a termite inspection and this inspector tried to sell us on termite treatment and a whole moisture barrier system including dehumidifer in the crawl. Never had termites. We sent him on down the road.) In subsequent months, we started to find large roaches, ants, and mice coming into the house. I put out mouse bait (myself) and one or more died inside, making a terrible stench. Remodeling got rid of the infestation but we now have ants again, and little spiders are showing up. I am getting other quotes before committing to another contract with Terminix.

We are really satisfied with them. They are very prompt. They are very efficient at what they do. They work with us. They pay close attention to detail on their jobs. They help to come up with solutions when we find problems. They are very thorough and very professional. They are here when they say they are going to be here. We found their prices to be very reasonable.

They are very reliable and come out regularly at regular intervals. They are responsive and I?m quite impressed with their service.

They were very good and they did a very good job.

Flying squirrels were getting into my house and I have a log cabin so it's very difficult for any animal to get in to my house. He found where they got in to my house from and made repairs to prevent the flying squirrels from coming in.

They are professional and responsive. They have an exterior method for termite control which is good and I have been satisfied with their service.

I had another company for many years and I would still see a bug now and then and the price was going up. Terminix treats outside rather than inside so my family is not exposed to the chemicals and it gets the job done.

The young man came out to do the inspection and he went into the crawlspace and came back up. He very excitedly said that I had a problem and I needed treatment because I definitely had an infestation. I asked him what percentage and he said that there were boards under the house that were infested, but I don't keep boards under my house. He wanted to show me a place far away from the door of the crawlspace where a person of my age and gender would not go. After we talked about price, I think he was catching on that I was going to get a second opinion and he refused to give me the worksheet that he was using. The other company that I called found no infestation and only found a board under the house that had been down there for maybe a year and there was no infestation. The manager made excuses saying that he was new and the contract that he was trying to sell me was for people who did not have an infestation. A similar thing happened with this company in 2003 and it makes me wonder how many little old ladies go into debt even though they don't have termites.

When we contacted Terminix after we purchased our home, we were told they had changed their program and they would have to re-treat our home, and as a result that it would now cost $600 to transfer the contract, plus the annual. We felt this was highly unusual and contacted other firms in the area and that was confirmed. I would also suggest you contact the BBB files and you will see a more complete record of their service history and reputation with their customers.

I like that if I have any problems outside of their services I can call them right up and they will come out and take care of it without charging me. I give Terminix all A's.

They do a good job. They are the not the cheapest, but the quality of work is good. We don?t have any bugs now. They close all the vents under the house, put dehumidifier and put plastic shielding to keep the moisture out. Now the house is dry and this keeps the termites away.

Called and explained the situation. Explained we had a few roaches showing up in our bathroom and a few more in the kitchen cabinets and drawers. We have a cluttered but clean home (five kids does not make domestic tranquility). Was told it was no problem and was never told of any special preparations needed before the man arrived. Exterminator canceled initial appointment 30 minutes before he was due to arrive and had to reschedule. When he finally did arrive a few days later advised us we would need to move a great deal of furniture, empty all of our cabinets and move other large items before he could spray. Did not let us know this beforehand so we could could get it done before he arrived, rescheduled yet again. At next appointment was advised we would have to take large appliances (oven, TV and refrigerator) outside (?) before he would spray and all food would have to be removed from the house. He called later and said he could not perform services at all. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Got the distinct impression he didn't think it was worth his time and that our place was going to be too much trouble. Got no help from the manager (did not get his name) said the technician said the house was too dirty, and it would be a waste of time and money for him to deal with. My real problem isn't even their attitude; it's if the tech had told us at the very beginning he didn't want to do it we could have looked elsewhere, instead they wasted OUR time and let the pest problem get even worse.

I am very pleased with they way they are always on time, and if I have any problems all I have to do is call. When they come out to spray, he will move things in the shed, turn the kids pool over, he even sprays under the front and back porch. They really take care of their customers.

I have used them now for three years. They are very friendly, and very prompt to show up for the appointment, they do not keep you waiting at all. They are very thoroughly with the service that they provide to their customers. I will continue to use this company.

I had James come by for a pest control estimate on spraying the outside of the house for spiders/ants/mites to keep them from getting into the house. He was very professional, explained what the plan offers and what insects are covered. During the inspection, he found several termite colonies at the house and explained the termite bating system, how it works and what to expect. He answered all my questions and I didn't feel pressured to use their services. He also addressed all my concerns about the safety of my toddler with these services. I ended up signing on for both pest and termite control and am very happy with the quick results I've seen.

When we bought our current home in 1994, we used Terminix for the termite bond/inspection. Since then, we have had an annual termite inspection. The representatives are knowledgeable and courteous. They come when they are scheduled and seem to take their time to do a thorough job. The folks who answer the phone are also courteous. And so far, I've had no termites; knock on wood!

We've used Terminix for about five years now, and our experience has varied widely according to which technician is assigned to us. We've probably seen seven or eight different technicians in our five years. The current one is good;he's knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations. However, they've recently "changed the system" and he can no longer call before he comes. We've always had a note in our records for them to call to schedule a visit so that they can come inside but now he just shows up, often when we're not at home. If we're not here, of course, he can only spray outside, and I have to call back and explain and schedule a second visit. This new process is frustrating and obviously a waste of our time and his but appears to be unavoidable. Once, the "system" entered it as an early and therefore billed second visit, doubling our bill. It took three phone calls and as many days to get the bill straightened out.

Their technician, David, does an excellent job. He is thorough, knowledgeable and willing to take extra steps if requested. I'm very pleased.

IM MY PERSONAL OPINION, I THINK THAT THEY DID A MUCH BETTER JOB THAN ANY OTHER PEST CONTROL COMPANY THAT WE HAVE EVER HIRED. SINCE THEY SPRAYED, WE HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM OF ANY KIND WITH ANY INSECTS.

I DEFINITELY WOULDN'T EVER USE THEM AGAIN. I ALSO WOULDN'T REFER THEM TO ANYONE. IF ANYTHING I WOULD TELL THEM NOT TO USE THEM. THEY DON'T DO WHAT THEY SAY THEIR GOING TO DO.

THE WORK THEY DID WAS JUST FANTASTIC. THEY ALWAYS CALL AHEAD BEFORE THEY COME. ALSO, THEY GET THE JOB DONE IN A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME. THEY ARE VERY CONSIDERATE AND THEY ARE NEVER RUDE.

I STARTED USING THEM BECAUSE THEY OFFERED A FREE INSPECTION AND I HAVE USED THEM EVER SINCE. THEY DO A GOOD JOB AND SPRAY FOR WHAT IS NEEDED. I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM AND THEY ALWAYS LEAVE INFORMATION ON WHAT THEY SPRAYED FOR.
