We are very happy with the job done by Streamline Electric and Plumbing. We needed to check our electric system in the house and contacted Streamline for this purpose. Setting up the appointment was easy. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and professional.

The technicians were on time and very polite, I will give them that. However, they company charges a $79.00 service fee when other companies don't. While they were there, I asked them about the pilot light, they told me that the unit just needed to be replaced since it was older, etc. totally avoiding the question. The quotes they gave me were about 20% higher than the other two quotes that I received. The main reason I won't use them again is that the plumber who came out today from "Cary Plumbing" told me that the pilot light had simply gone out; he relit the pilot and didn't even charge me for the visit. As you can imagine, I am very frustrated and disappointed in Streamline. My budget is very tight right now, and being able to wait a while before I replace my current unit is a great relief.

Streamline Services came right out to our home on Memorial Day. We were provided with knowledgeable, speedy service. We greatly appreciated the communication prior to their arrival too. Not mention, our job took less time than initially estimated, and they changed the cost of service to reflect that. Thank you!

Mixed feelings on the service. While they were prompt, $590 is quite a rip off to install a $40 expansion tank in the garage (easily accessible) plus a new $70 PRV Valve on the water main. Total job took 30-45 minutes including adjustment. Water heater is 8 years old. The tech was already trying to sell me a new $2.5k unit, even though there were no signs of this one going out.

The lady who contacted me in response to my request for service from this outfit, told me there would be a 79$ fee plus tax just for the estimate.: if I then went ahead and performed some or all of the services, that fee would be applicable towards the services. (other electricians come out and estimate for free! They seemed professional on the phone and sent responsive texts and emails---and I really needed a lot of work done fast, I was willing to set up the appointment. The guy who came out was young in comparison to other estimators that came here, described himself as an electrician working for his father ( contractor) and uncles outfit---but he was very polite and professional and responsive. He proceeded to look at our power panel first--- and then we went over the entire house and I explained what I wanted done, realizing it was a lot I also indicated I might need to split this into a phase 1 and part 2 projects. The guy then returned to his car and wrote up his estimates coming back about 1/2 hour later to show them to me on his I pad, telling me that each item is a flat fee and adding them up... I looked at the costs of individual projects as well as at the grand total. I was rather dismayed to find out his estimates escalated over $3000.00(!!) ----ABOVE the highest local estimates(!!!) I had in hand from others, the BEST and highest rated full electrical contractors in our Durham Chapel Hill area!! ( their estimates totaled around $4500-5000 for even far more comprehensive work than I had asked this guy! I kept the conversation polite, trying to understand where this outfit came from in quoting such outlandish prices for this area...and I asked him, whether in all seriousness they perhaps did NOT need any jobs...? Not liking to waste my time nor this young man's, thinking it might be worth spending 50 or 100$ more on some items just to get them done now and off my list---- I tried to find at least one or two projects for him to do while he was out here-- such as replacing outdoor security lights with newer fixtures, I already had purchased--- and even after this and getting my 79$ supposedly applied to these jobs, .. the price for what I wanted done was 100% above the highest quoted price of the same items (!!!) by a very reputable and highly rated outfit in this area totallng several hundred dollars more. . At that point ---I would rather let go of my 80 bucks, than throw more good money after bad --- I told him we were done and that I consider myself scammed!! BEWARE! they are a rip off if they are legit..... or else I just gave a guy a free tour to my house and electrical and security system based on Angies List's high recommendations--!!!! BEWARE.... I really want my money back and feel had!--but at this point that is the least of my concerns. Please let my experience be a lesson to you---do not open your doors to this outfit.

We received a bill for $495 to clear a drain and fix a toilet, and we were told we needed to have a pressure regulator valve replaced, which would have cost an additional $650. I asked for an itemized bill -- an explanation of why it was so expensive to clear a drain -- and never received one. We were charged $91 to have the flapper replaced in a toilet reservoir. That is a $5 part that takes less than five minutes to replace, without using any tools. It also didn't solve the problem, as the technician would have seen had he flushed the toilet after replacing the flapper. I wound up fixing the leak myself, at a total cost of about $30. I called Streamline to complain about the service and the price and was told that both the supervisor and manager were out of the office on emergencies. Neither ever returned my call. When I did get through to them about two weeks later, they did not explain either price, saying only that "the owner sets the prices." They did agree to apply the $91 flapper charge to the cost of replacing the pressure regulator valve, which would bring that charge down to around $560 (and our total payment to Streamline up to around $1,050). Checking online, several home repair information sites estimated that the cost of replacing a PRV in our region should not exceed $300. We hired another plumber and paid $250.

Don't call this company unless you don't mind getting ripped off. Woke up and my water heater wasn't working. I looked for companies with good references and found Streamline. First, I had to pay them the $80 plus tax cost to come and take a look at it but was assured when I made the appointment that if I did the work it would be included. He quoted me over a $100 just to try and light the water heater (on top of the $80 I paid to get them to come out) or over $2500 to replace a 50 gallon gas water heater. Given that I had recently replaced an even larger water heater before selling a home, I knew that price was exorbitant. I called Fergusson and the base cost of the water heater is under $600 so almost $2000 to install the water heater - almost $200 for him to light the water heater!!! REALLY??? A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

They arrived on time and installed the outlet and box in a reasonable amount of time. Everything went well. Price could have been a little lower.

Went great. Fred was very knowledgable and explained what he was **** every step of the way, gave me options of how to proceed in finding the problem, and even gave me a discount for helping with the work.

Second time in two weeks, I called Stream Line, they were fast, efficient, and totally professional.

Technicians from Streamline were punctual, courteous, and very professional. They identified the problem and came up with a plan to replace the entire gas line that was in the attic and ran along the cathedral ceiling down to the fireplace in the living room. They replaced it with minimal damage to the drywall. They were finished with the job in less time than they estimated. We were extremely pleased with the entire process. There was a minor issue with the length of the gas line that hooked to the logs being slightly too long. Once the problem was identified by the gas company, we called Streamline and the same technicians returned the next day and rectified the problem.

Want a rough estimate for a water heater replacement. Unlike other companies would not give even a rough estimate on he phone and want to charge $79 for coming out to give a quote. No other companies charge such charge. Most strange vendor I have dealt with.

Russel was the technician and he walked me confidently through what he was going to do, explaining everything that needed to be done. He takes his work seriously and makes it an art form. From the symmetry of pipes and angles to the perfect positioned clamps. Streamline is very professional, and when the technician is making an estimate, he orders it like an online menu, so it might be pricey but you are confident these are the corporate prices and he is not just making it up, which can sometimes happen. Great email updates and invoice with before and after pictures.

Daniel and Allen were prompt, friendly and professional. Daniel was very thorough in his checking of the electrical system and Allen was also very thorough in his checking of our plumbing system. Both of them are very knowledgeable as well. We were impressed.

This company was excellent from start to finish. We needed our hvac unit serviced and they were efficient, knowledgeable and kind. I called needing someone out same day and they arrived very promptly. I received a text letting me know when to expect them and I didn't have to wait around all day. The technician was able to fix the issue and also took extra time to thoroughly inspect each unit. I knew before any work was done what the cost was going to be and there were no surprises. I was so happy with their service that I had them inspect the heating and AC system our new house that we were purchasing. I highly recommend Streamline Services.

It went great. Work was fantastic, professional, prompt, punctual, and reasonably priced. Done between 2 and 3 hours. It was fantastic.

This company came out here and told me that coolant for our HVAC unit was $96.00 per pound. I have since found out that we were totally ripped off. Every other company I called and asked laughed when I told them how much I was charged. It costs $6.00 per pound for these companies to purchase it. I understand that they need to mark it up to include labor, etc., but most companies are around $20.00 per pound. I am going on the internet and warning everyone that I was robbed by this company.

The plumbing technician was extremely knowledgeable about the installation and informed me immediately that the setup required more detailed work due to my faucet plumbing in the kitchen being incorrectly installed before. He was thorough in his installation and explained every detail to my satisfaction. The price was a bit higher than I expected but the quality of service and professionalism was stellar. I would hire them again. The technician that installed my ceiling completed it in record time. He was very professional, prompt and explained the process. The fan is a wonderful addition to my master bedroom and works amazingly.

I hired them to install a manual transfer switch in October. At the beginning they seemed very nice, competent, prompt. Everything was fine. They did the work, I paid them, that was that. Then, the work they did failed the inspection (still want to hire them?) I was there when the inspector said that he couldn't believe they installed the transfer switch over stairs (which apparently is a clear violation of code). He told me there were other things he would have to cite with the work they did as well. I thought, fine I'm sure they'll be super prompt and get this done since this is a super embarrassing thing to happen for them. The initial install was more than 2 months ago now. Since then, it was like pulling teeth for them to clean up their mistake. They finally moved the transfer switch and apparently have passed the inspection. But there is still a huge hole in my basement that they need to repair. I called 5 times today and didn't hear back. This is not unusual. They took all my calls before payment. Now, not so much (that sound good to you?). My mistake was paying for service before the work was done (inspected). I wouldn't recommend them but if you read this and still want to use them, don't pay them until everything is inspected. Once they get their money, they dodge your calls. So remember: 1. Don't hire them 2. if you do, don't pay them until after inspection 3. if you do hire them, you do pay them before inspection, try to make sure you don't have a hole to the outside in your basement before they leave. It's cold outside. Picture below (but you need to feel the 29 degree breeze coming through it to get the full effect)

We are choosing to get the tankless water heater and have him do it. I would recommend him for anything that he does. What a great person. He will come back tomorrow to actually take out the old and install the new water heater. I expect that will be great, but you may want to ask after the job is really finished.

Don't bother reaching out to them via Angie's List! They failed to respond!!! Very discouraging.

They did a great job. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

The entire installation went very smoothly. We were happy with the results and very pleased with Matthew's work.
