Description of Work: Overall -- very happy with SEM. Only hitch was that there was a delay in the installation that they did not proactively communicate to us. But, once the installation began, all went well. One more thing. The inverter they installed turned out to be defective, which they quickly repaired, without question or hassle once I let them know. I get that sometimes things break -- I like the way they handled it.

Description of Work: The whole experience was very informative. From learning how we could save money on our cost of electricity, to the whole house energy evaluation, to finally the installation of the panels. We are saving money and we can even go on to our own energy portal and see our savings and use in real time. They are one of the oldest companies doing Solar Energy in NC and unlike fly-by-night companies or buying knock off versions of solar panels from large warehouse stores, they stand behind their work and their products.

Description of Work: Inspector for Town of Carrboro arriving Jan 14 and then will be hooked to the grid with Duke Energy within about 3 wks and I'm good to go. So far, everything has been perfect. They answer all my silly questions quickly. I chose a 4 kw system. What I liked is that I only had to pay the money and provide proof of insurance. They did all the paperwork and payments to other organizations and I did not need to be involved. They were very good at explaining to a complete novice what they were doing and why, but still asking if I was ok with it. I recommend the meeting beforehand which, in my case, was at our Public Library.

Description of Work: Installed a photovoltaic system at my home. They were slow getting the project started and had to reinstall panels when the county inspector said they had jumped the gun before inspections. The final product is great, although pricey. I might use them again.
