Very professional service, friendly, and open to my concerns. I am a detailed person and pointed out a lot of things before and after they arrived. I made some requests not sure if they would be able to get to everything within the budgeted time and cost. Before starting they replaced the rotten wood, pounded all the popped nails, removed the outside light, numbers, hooks, and pressure washed. The house has cedar planks that don't need caulk but they caulked around the chimney, etc. On the recommendation of their "Color expert" and from their sample guides I chose a Porter Solid Stain, Olive Branch, to cover the 9+ year old light gray stain. One coat and it looks great. They painted the entire house, detached shed, storage shed attached to the deck, foundation, and lattice. They painted my front door, storm door, rear sliding glass door, lamp post, mail box, and window frames (30 year old frames) in a Porter glossy black. The front steps were painted with a Porter matte black paint (or stain?) designed for high traffic. I chose a Semi-Transparent Sealant in Cedar for the deck and rails. After a pressure wash and a coat it looks better than when I bought it. The deck looks almost like a continuation of my Brazilian Cherry hardwoods that go right up to the sliding glass door. What a difference paint/stain and having all the little details done makes. I should have done this years ago... ;-)

Torrance De Leon met me within a day of my calling him. I explained what I wanted - he sent me a written estimate the following evening. He also indicated that he had, on staff, a consultant that could help me with color selection if I needed that kind of help. I did meet the following day with Thomas, his consultant, and was extremely pleased with his suggestions. The painters began the following week. They were punctual each and every day. They were courteous and responsive to my needs as well as the project continued. The left the house neat and clean each day before they left. The quality of the work was excellent. I am extremely pleased at the outcome.

Torrence (the owner) at Socaz is extremely knowledgeable and professional and my decision to work with him was based in part on the many positive comments I read about him here on Angie?s List. Torrence?s workers did a very good job; the quality of work was terrific. The ceilings are beautiful; there is absolutely no indication that popcorn ceilings were present. The walls are in great shape now. Torrence has an associate, Thomas, who can provide assistance with color selection if needed. Thomas was very helpful. Torrence is very easy to work with. He answered his phone almost every time I called him with a question; it was uncommon to get his voicemail. The final cost of 4000 dollars was about 500 more then the original quote but Torrence corrected his price very early on, gave me plenty of notice and carefully explained the reason for the price adjustment. I did not feel pressured at all and I believe the final price was very reasonable and a great value overall. I highly recommend Socaz.

Socaz Painting is a very well managed and professional company - they show up when they say they will and complete all work in a timely manner. I have been extremely pleased with the level of perfection that Socaz strives for in every job they take on. I have entered a room to see it being repainted (and not at my expense) because the owner did not like the way it looked (without having ever complained). They will work with you on color choices and always welcome your input along the way (even if that means a last minute color change.) They do FANTASTIC work AND have left every room they have worked on in my home cleaner than it was before they started. I could not say enough wonderful things about this company. If you are a perfectionist like I am, you want to use Socaz Painting.

The room came out perfectly. The walls were prepped well so the paint went on smoothly. They did have to move a few small pieces of furniture as I had already moved the larger ones but they moved everything back in place before they left and cleaned everything up.

THEY WERE GOOD ENOUGH BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND STUFF THEY COULD HAVE DONE BETTER. THEY DID A DECENT ENOUGH JOB BUT I FOUND A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT THEY COULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY.
