SOCAZ PAINTING

Socaz was one of 3 estimates we got for our recently purchased home. By far the most thorough, professional estimate up front. Thomas was 10 minutes early for the estimate, was extremely polite, well spoken and conscientious. He went over each detail of what we wanted and came back with a bottom line estimate right then. We later decided to change a few things in the estimate, and it was no problem at all. At the last minute we also had them paint three very ugly rooms (bright green, bright purple and hot pink)! And they had to do it all quickly before the flooring people came! Needless to say the job was very well done in the time estimated. The house looks beautiful! Great service and we actually will be using them for another small project shortly! Many thanks to Thomas and Socaz!

I highly recommend Socaz Painting. You will get the painting result you want and more, because owner Torrance Deleon and those who work for him are (1) highly professional and (2) they ?go the extra mile? being cooperative with your wishes and needs. I had to make two separate last minute changes in our arrangements. One change involved asking that our project be done almost immediately. Torrance was not alienated. He got it done, made it happen. And he was good natured in the process. George was a very skilled and knowledgeable painter who, like Torrance, went an extra mile. He offered to do some extra work that made our house look nicer but that I hadn?t asked for and that we were not charged for. Working with Socaz Painting is a nice experience in every way.

I am a perfectionist and Socaz delivered high-end results and gave me a great value. From the beginning, Torrance was reliable, professional and built trust with me, educating me on my options with an eye toward best results and value for my budget. His colleague Tom, a design expert, came for a free in-house consultation to make sure I had chosen the right colors. The painting team did a great job and they were very respectful and neat in my home, and wanted to make me happy. The project made my townhouse look beautiful, and there were several value-adds along the way. Socaz offers a personalized painting experience with good people who truly care about their work and customer satisfaction. I am glad that I spent my money working with Torrance and his high-quality team of professionals. I recommend Socaz highly to others.

Socaz' quote came in identical to another company I checked with, and higher than a single individual who was also highly rated. I chose Socaz because of their excellent rating and because I thought a crew would be able to complete the job more quickly than a person working alone. They did a fabulous job. They patched numerous nail pops and damage in the dry wall. The former homeowner was in love with the little anchors that you put in the wall to hold screws. They were everywhere. The crew removed them all and patched the holes. I had one wall in the living room where the cat had jumped up on a shelf (held in by those anchors) and pulled the whole thing down, causing multiple little volcanic eruptions in the drywall. After Socaz finished, there was absolutely no sign of any damage whatsoever. Thomas, their color consultant, was also the supervisor on my job. He is a complete gentleman. I called him in the middle of the job to make a couple of changes (litte pieces of ceiling that I wanted painted he same color as the walls, and an accent wall that I decided I didn't like). He was very careful to go over the changes that I wanted and when I came home the next day, they were all completed. I boarded my animals and stayed with a friend so that the crew wouldn't have to work around me. The job was originally scheduled to take five days, however they were able to complete it in three days, allowing me to be in my home for the fourth of July holiday weekend. All in all, I was very pleased with Socaz and plan to call them again in a year or so when it's time to paint the exterior of my house.

Torrence showed up on time for the estimate and provided an estimate slightly lower than two other highly-rated contractors. He noticed small details that needed attention that the other two missed. Socaz's level of professionalism was higher than the other two (very good) contractors. Communication with Torrence throughout the job was excellent. Thomas, the painting lead person, was also a great communicator, and I was very impressed with his positive attitude and with his careful work. Painters showed exceptional attention to detail. A painter made a mistake on the staining of the deck, and the company went to extraordinary lengths to correct the mistake. Finished job was beautiful. They did not take long to schedule and complete the job. They used high-quality products. They exceeded my expectations, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

First, the intial contact with Mr. de Leon for an estimate was professional and thorough. All business licenses and proof of proper insurance/workers' comp. were brought to our meeting. Second, the initial estimate was comphrehensive and the final price did not change. Third, the color consultant and crew supervisor, all employees of the company--not day labor-type-- was excellent. The previous owner had painted the rooms in my "new" home taxi-cab yellow, lime green and robins egg blue--all requiring a primer and 2 coats of paint to become a rich cream w/white trim. The deck/front door were badly in need of reconditioning and staining/painting. The interior and front door work was superb and the crew left everything immaculate--including the ceiling fixtures, (I have very high ceilings), stair rails, etc. Attention to detail was excellent. Fourth, my home was done in Nov., and due to weather conditions,the crew had to return this month (July) to finish the deck treatment. I never had to initiate this follow-up--Mr. de Leon kept in contact with me over the months and once the work was able to go forward, not only looked the job over, as did his color consultant, but returned several days later to make sure that, again due to weather, the deck was indeed "done". The deck, by the way, was treated with a special stain/protectorant and looks exactly like my interior hardwood floors, including the shine. Thank you Socaz Painting!!

The personnel from Socaz were very thorough and well supervised.

We chose SOCAZ based on Angie's List listings. I contacted several companies from the list and got multiple estimates. I was expecting professional estimates from all the contractors, but SOCAZ stood out from the rest. The estimator/owner, Torrance Deleon was prompt in response to our request for an estimate and gave us an estimate that was far more detailed and helpful (in identifying problem areas) than anyone else. SOCAZ really stood head and shoulders above the rest. The project, which lasted for 7 months, was conducted with as much excellence and professionalism as the estimate. All work was performed on schedule and was flawless. Everyone associated with SOCAZ was as professional as Mr Deleon. I particularly liked the fact that they had the own crew rather than having a revolving set of workers; it allowed us to know and be comfortable with the crew, a big plus. I would use them again, in a minute!

They did a great job and they also had a color and design guy come out in conjunction with their service. So they did the painting and also took care of the colors and everything else which was nice. Everything was done on time and they were specific about what they were going to do. They did whatever they said they would do and everything went great.

I picked another company to get the work done over them but I probably would recommend them. The quote given by them was high. They would have done a better job if I had used their services for painting. I had interviewed 6 people and Socaz was the only one who picked up on very small details. So he has a very good eye for detail. They were always around. They didn?t do any work for me but my gut says that I should go with them. They were really responsive and punctual. I would use their services in the future too.

Though they were not the cheapest, we made the decision to go with quality instead. I am very happy with the results!

Torrance and Thomas were terrific. Torrance had a rep from Sherwin-Williams come out and look at the best way to apply paint to our house which was built in the 40s and has a history of old paint jobs, some not so good. They worked very h****** scraping and priming. Then applied a sprayed primer plus a sprayed overcoat of paint. Did all the shutters too. They were VERY professional and timely. They worked very well for us and were ready to always answer our questions. If we had any issues after the job was done they came back immediately and took care of it. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

Torrance DeLeon came within a day of my call to give me an estimate for the work that I wanted to have done. His color consultant did and excellent job matching the paint colors on my house and doors. His painters arrived on time each and every day. I had a deadline to meet as my house was going on the market the following weekend. This company did everything they could to allow me to meet that deadline. I believe they go above and beyond what is expected. His painters are conscientious and considerate. The quality of their work is excellent. Without a doubt, I would use this company again for any and all of my painting needs.

Everything went smoothly from the first phone call to Torrance. He returned my call within an hour of leaving a message, came out the next day to give me an estimate. They were always right on time, performed EXCELLENT service, and were very professional. I would MOST DEFINITELY use them again, and plan to have them paint my dining room and kitchen.

What a fabulous company! We were so impressed with the professionalism shown by Torrance Deleon and his entire staff from the first phone call through all subsequent calls and visits. We found him based on reviews found here on Angie?s List and we were very, very pleased with the outcome. Within a day of our first phone call, Torrance and Thomas (the wonderful Color Consultant) arrived to review the work required for this project, as well as, to get an initial feel for our needs. Torrance presented an entire package that included a code of ethics and a copy of his insurance. Who does that? Someone with ?Integrity * Reliability * Quality? as stated on the cover of his portfolio. By the end of that day a written estimate was emailed to us and we felt the price was fair and reasonable. Thomas returned a few days later with color swatches for us to review and we absolutely loved the first choice he presented. He left and returned with a sample which he placed on a few walls so we could see if we liked it in different light?we did. We scheduled the work following the removal of our cabinets, counters and lighting which was completed a few days later. The crew arrived on time, they were hardworking and tidy and very professional. It took a full day for them to complete it all due to the amount of drywall patching and repair work. We were told that they expected to return after the rest of our work was done to touchup any damages, repaint shoe molding and caulk where necessary. That did occur plus they redid a few areas that needed a little extra TLC and it looks fantastic. We really appreciated having a company that had as much pride in their work as we could ever hope for. It was obvious that completing it all to our satisfaction was as important as it looking right for them too. I now have a stack of business cards so I can pass them out when I recommend them to others. Which of course, is what I am doing right now. I really want to thank all those who wrote reports about Socaz Painting so I could review them and get the best company for the job. I am happy to continue the process and even happier to have a beautiful soft yellow kitchen!

Workers did a great job on all of the above. They are punctual and conscientious. I was kept informed of issues that were discovered after the popcorn was removed as it required additional repair work. Their color consultant worked with me on choosing just the right color combinations for the main walls and the accent wall. He is an invaluable member of the Socaz team. The work was completed on time.

Torrence responded right away to our inquiry and was out the next day to give us an estimate. We agreed on an arrangement, and work was begun in a matter of days. The crew ran into some unanticipated problems but their professionalism led them to go the extra mile to make sure we were very satisfied. All the men associated with this company were extremely polite and professional, each wanting to make sure we were happy with the job. In the end, I'm not sure they made much money, but they sure won us over, and we would recommend them highly.

It went great. We received a quote from Torrance, which was very competitive with other highly rated providers after we decided on Socaz, Next, Socaz sent over a design consultant, who was included in the cost, and he really helped demystify the color selection process. Once the crew got to work, it took about three days to complete the job. There were very few surprises when the job was done and Torrance made sure most minor flaws were corrected. The only imperfections are a couple of nail pops that seem to have been missed in the prep work process. These were minor, however, and do not detract from what is otherwise a great job. Because of the paint sheen, it was not possible to fix these without repainting an entire wall. It really wasn't worth the trouble to me. We were moving into the house in a few days and with a pregnant wife I didn't want to add new paint fumes.

Everything was done to my satisfaction. The workers were punctual each and every day and completed the work in just a couple of days. They had to do some addition work to remove my special gutters (since I was unable to get the company who installed them to do so).

I was completley blown away. Torrance came VERY soon after my initial contact to walk through and give me a quote on painting in a rental property. The house is older so we had some challenges to deal with. He addressed each one with me, complete with detailed overviews of what they could do and how each problem area would be dealt with. Overall we spent an hour on just the quote but he was extremely thorough. The quote included a promised 'to do' list along with several other 'wish list' items that would be completed, time-permitting. He estimated it would take 2 days. I never imagined anything on the 'wish list' would actually be finished. Timing was critical, as this was a rental property between tenants. His crew was out there in less than 48 business hours. They matched the paint perfectly, they did SUCH a professional job and cleaned up everything when they were done. IN THE END, it took only ONE day to complete and EVERYTHING on the promised list as well as the WISH list was ALL completed - and it looked amazing! I was shocked! I'm still shocked. Very professional, very trustworthy. I'll definitely use them again.

AWESOME! That's how I feel after working with Torrance De Leon and Socaz Painting. The master bedroom and bath are gorgeous, the work was done quickly and professionally, and my finished rooms are spotless. The crew always showed up exactly on time and kept me informed every step of the way. They even installed the new window latches I had planned on installing myself -- no detail is too small for them. I am an admitted perfectionist and would highly recommend Socaz painting.

Torrance was great at helping me in deciding what exactly to paint for the most bang for my buck. Also, they have a wonderful color specialist that assisted me in choosing colors and making sure the end product was superb. I am extremely happy with Socaz. They were in an out in 1 day. Not a drop of paint on the floors also!!

His bid was a little higher compared to other bids I received, but haven't completed the project.

I called Socaz Painting as they were recommended by someone whose judgment we valued. They responded promptly and courteously, and listened to our request, gave us some options and information about what we needed to take into consideration. They recommended the best product and provided us with a brochure to show the color choices available. The deck was power washed first, and then a few days later sanded and any raised nails hammered down. The first coat was applied but then unfortunately we hit the high pollen time before the second coat could be put on. Socaz were very accommodating and left the work for a couple of weeks until the pollen wasn't so bad. This meant they needed to hose down the deck again but they did this willingly. The second coat was then applied, and now the deck looks fantastic! They gave advice about how to when to re-apply stain in the future. They also made sure we received the leftover stain which we wanted to use to paint our deck furniture with.
