Excellent to Very Good. Our house has not been painted in about 30 years. Even though the ceiling and walls weren't in "bad" condition, it needed extra attention just due to wear and tear, as well as age. Also, cigarette smoke from previous owners had stained the ceilings in places. Torrence was prompt and very thorough with his quote, and although his was higher than the other company, it was also much more thoroughly explained and discussed. It led me to believe that I would be getting a high quality of service, and I did. Being a member of Angie's List entitled me to a "free" color consultation. This alone is a very valuable service, and also factored in our decision to go with Socaz. I really needed help picking wall colors. Thomas Shelton is the color consultant and also the crew supervisor. He has a excellent sense of color and is very easy to work with. Because of his advise, we were able to choose colors that we would not have considered on our own, and we are very happy with. Painters were professional, respectful, flexible, and friendly. They started on time, made good progress every day, straightened up at the end of each day, and moved enough furniture from underneath the drop cloths that we could somewhat "have a life" in the evenings (kitchen, T.V., couch, beds, dressers). The only reason I don't give a complete excellent is that the job took a little longer than planned. It is partly my fault, as I found a few "extras" along the way, such as re-framing the attic access door. Also, I don't think either one of us factored in the impact of the July 4th holiday, therefor the job took several days longer than originally scheduled, which threw them behind schedule, and we were due to go out of town. I could tell that we were both anxious to get the job over with. Still, Thomas inspected thoroughly and made sure final touch-ups were done, and even replaced a garden hose that had been accidentally damaged during their work (that I didn't even know about.) Since we've had a chance to settle back in, I've notice a couple of small places that could stand going over again, but they left us all the left over paint, so I can take care of that. All in all, I really believe they did a great job. Our interior looks much better and I'm happy with the result.

They do extremely high quality work. Don't underestimate the value of their color specialist. He did a great job of narrowing in on great colors to fit what I wanted to do.

Excellent experience with friendly, courteous crew and great customer service by owners. Bid process, scheduling and prompt work completed on schedule. Willing to add more projects (ex. some carpentry and drywall needed to be done to complete painting). Highly recommend.

The interaction was fine. They were professional and showed up on time. Their price was so much higher than another quote that I received. They got the quote to me very quickly. Their price was way out there. I would probably not use them because I thought they were too expensive.

This was the first time I used them. They were a good company. They were little higher priced than people I have used before but I was very satisfied with their work. I got what I paid for. They were professional and took care of me as a customer which is hard to find with a company. I would use them again in the future.

I made repeated attempts to schedule my appointment, including emails and a voice message. After a weeks of attempts I received an email back reading, “Pick a day XX, XX, XX”. The email did not acknowledge my numerous attempts to contact them or the significant lag time. If I were not using credit, I would have stopped my interaction with the company then. Once the date was schedule (via email) another three weeks went by. I had to call and confirm the evening before the appointment because I had yet to here when they were going to show up. I was transferred from person to person and finally reached someone that said they would be at the house at 9am. By noon that day, no one had shown up and I had not received any phone call. I called the company to see what the status was, and they proceeded to yell at me, telling me that they were at the house but no one was home. There was clearly a misunderstanding as I was at the house the entire time and had my phone on me. They told me they would call back to reschedule and never did. This company had repeated chances to demonstrate professionalism and proved incapable.

Torrance and his crew did an excellent job, $1,500 of the work was to replace rotted trim and siding which they also did very professionally. Repaired the trim, painted the house, shutters and exterior doors, painted a detached shed and stained the deck. Someone was on the job everyday by 8:30 and they worked until 6:00 in the evening. Everyone was polite and helpful and cleaned up at the end of each day.

Thomas arrived on time for the estimate. He was very professional and even put paper booties over his shoes. I was impressed with his professionalism, but unfortunately he did not provide an itemized estimate, just a flat price with a brief one sentence of explanation. His price was competitive with other estimates I got and I might have hired Socaz if I had been provided with an itemized estimate.

It went great. They were good. They were hear longer than I expected but there were weather glitches and extra work that needed to be done.

The painter arrived 15 minutes early. He was very polite and professional. The paint looks great and all the edges are crisp and straight. I would definitely use them again.

Provided great service - the color consultation was a huge help as were changing the color of the exterior of our house. Quality and timely work and a reasonable price.

He showed up on time. He left everything clean. He was very professional. He was extremely responsive. He went above and beyond to do the job. He even came back a year later to check on the work. I can't speak highly enough of him.

Overall we were satisfied because they responded to our issues and redid the job responsibly until we were satisified.

They had to do a repair on a portion of the ceiling while they were painting. I called them the next day and stated that I didn't think it looked right and they came out the next day to redo the area. We were looking to put our home on the market and they were very responsive to our needs.

They were great! The owner came and gave me the estimate and was very professional and kind. As a single woman I felt safe with the men working on my house. I would recommend Socaz painting to anyone.

They seemed pretty reasonable. The responsiveness was very good but the price was very high.

They came promptly to give us a quote it was just higher than the company that we chose.

They’re great. We’ve had them out several times. On one occasion, they had to come back, and you would’ve never known they were there. They cleaned up so well. It’s worth every penny. These guys are excellent. I’m so happy with their services and I’d highly recommend them to others.

Their price was more expensive than the guy we went with. They seemed fine. It was just that their price was higher. We wouldn’t consider calling them back for an estimate again.

Did excellent job. Supervisor came back after work done to perform detailed examination of the work. Found several spots which were repaired. Items which we did not see or notice. Only recommendation is to use a more distinguishing tape color to allow workers to see the found discrepancies.

Through Angie's List I emailed Torrance and he responded within 2 hours via phone to schedule an appointment. He came out the same day and was very professional. He was the only contractor who had actual paperwork for me to review about his company. I needed all the walls and two ceilings painted in our 2600 sq ft home. He provided me a fair price. I was also looking for a hardwood contractor to refinish our floors, and our situation was very time sensitive. Torrance was able to get the painting started the next day. However, the next contractor I met with contacted his friend who was a flooring guy and together they were able to get the house done in the time frame I needed. That is the ONLY reason I went with the other contractor, and I told my husband the next time we need painting done, I will ONLY call Torrance.

From the start to finish, great experience. Torrance was very professional, on time, and had a detailed estimate. The project ended up being a larger than we initially thought. Before the job started, we walked the property with Torrance and his carpenter to go over everything that would be replaced. Socaz also has a paint color consultant, Thomas, who was very helpful. Once we settled on a body color, Thomas was very helpful with suggestions for trim and shutter colors. Before starting our project, we did get estimates from other contractors. In the end, we decided that Socaz was the perfect combination of price and quality. We decided on the duration paint and, although it's only been six months, it still looks great. We would absolutely use Socaz again!

As a condition of a refinance I had to replace some rotten Masonite siding and window jambs and have it all painted. I was on a deadline because of a rate lock which expired at the end of the month. I called Socaz on the recommendation of my broker and they came through. I called and asked for an estimate and they scheduled one the next day. I explained my timeline and they said they could come and perform the work. They arrived on time and quickly performed the work. Only issue I had was around timing with my babies nap. I had explained that we had a young child who slept from 1-3 and if they could avoid any loud activities during that time I would appreciate it. Unfortunately they did the majority of the quiet activities during the morning and left some of the sawing/jamb removal towards mid-day. I had to ask them to stop a couple of times before they moved on to quieter activities. Thomas (contact at Socaz) was extremely helpful and made sure the job was completed to my satisfaction, to the point of returning several weeks later after a very rainy period to clean up a botched spot which I had pointed out at closing. Would use Socaz again. Very prompt and communicative, eager to please.

Overall, it was a great experience. The crew is friendly and courteous. They arrive on time and work late into the day to get the job done just as soon as possible. They finished the job 3 days sooner than originally projected because two of the guys worked on a Saturday.
