Fine. They took care of the problem.

We bought a house and it had fleas all over. It was a 6 weeks project. Some of the technicians were good and some of them were not.

The good news - the person who answered the phone (female) was very responsive and helpful. She said a technician would be out the same day, which was great, and would call me with 30 minutes notice before he arrived. I was very happy that they could provide someone the same day. The bad news - the technician did not call before coming and showed up while I was engaged with another service provider on a separate matter. I wish he had called as promised so I could have avoided this conflict. My original theory was that the animal was in the basement so the technician donned overalls and went down to investigate. He said he could not find anything and that it did not smell in the basement, so it was probably in a wall somewhere and prepared to leave. He was covered in mud from the crawlspace and walked all through my house leaving muddy footprints as he went. Most technicians dealing with crawlspaces know to bring disposable footies for when they re-enter the house. So I was frustrated that I now had mud to scrub out of the rugs in 3 rooms. I suggested we check the attic before he went and he said that there was a low likelihood of it being in the attic. I insisted that we check anyway. Sure enough, as soon as we pulled down the attic stairs, the smell was very strong. We both went up there and began looking around. Although it was clearly somewhere very close judging by the smell, he did not find it and left, with my check for $100. The smell in the house was overwhelming so I called another company. They sent someone out and he literally found it in 10 seconds - literally. 10 seconds. This was clearly a case of the Smith technician not having sufficient experience for the job. The second company did several things differently: 1. they immediately asked where in the house I first noticed the smell. They then investigated that area themselves and noted where it was in relation to the attic layout. 2. they knew from experience that animals often get in near the exhaust fan, which was also near the origin of the smell, so they checked that area first. The animal was in plain sight, on top of the insulation, right beside the exhaust fan. They were incredulous that someone else didn't find it. I do not enjoy writing negative reviews but I am very disappointed in this experience. $100 is significant to me and in this case it was for nothing. If the Smith technicians are not trained and experienced in locating dead animals in homes, that should not be a service the company advertises or provides.

It was excellent. They came when they said they would. They sent a very knowledgeable person. They offered different options on things I could do and things I might want to do. They have been in Raleigh for a long time and a lot of my neighbors use them.

It's been great. The quality of the technician is what I want others to know about.

They cleaned out all of the traps. Once a quarter, they come out and spray around the outside to prevent any critters from coming inside. The gentleman was very courteous and professional.

Very happy! Because we have a service contract, we can call any time and receive appointments quickly. This was especially helpful when we had a persistent problem with mice one winter! The guys are always professional and very thorough. Knowledgeable, too.

I have used Smith Exterminating for 7 years and at first I had to call them back a couple times but after that every thing went fine. I never saw critters of any kind (flys, ants, gnats, spiders,or mosquitoes) inside my house. This summer I have had to call them out between sprayings and I've still had to deal with gnats, ants and even been bitten by spiders. They may as we'll be spraying water!!

They are the best pest control company that I have ever had. We love our service technician, Gary.

Do to my project schedule, I needed this service done quickly. Lisa and Heather in the office made it happen. I did not get to meet the Tech who trenched and treated my crawlspace. But today I worked with David as he finished the treatment in the garage. This company stepped up and did what I needed done. No excuses, no complications.

They are fine. They really helped us in a big way for our situation. We don't know what we would do without them because we could be in big trouble with our exterminating circumstances. They call the day before they come to let us know, in case we have a dog.

They were very proactive with communication. They called me several times just to confirm the appointment. I had registered for the appointment online. They thought they might have a problem with their service which they didn't. It worked fine for me. Their vice-president called me to make sure it was working the next day. That was a nice conversation with him. He's a nice guy. It was fine and I didn't have any issues. It was surprising to have one of the co-owners to give me a call. They weren't badly priced but it just wasn't the best price as far as the extermination services were concerned. They do offer more than the other folks did. They just weren't the cheapest. The other folks didn't do as much. They offered the whole range. For the amount of work they did for me, I thought the price was fair.

They are very personable, trustworthy and thorough in what they do every month. I think they're great people.

I have used this company for 15 years now. I had the same tech for 13 of those 15 years. In the last 2 years there has been more turn over than I would like. However, I am pleased with the quality of their services and price overall. I have the exterior treated quarterly for insects. They always call to verify the date of service and if I want them to do an interior treatment they do. I prefer to be home when they treat the interior. They also perform all annual termite inspections for me too.

On time and called 30 minutes before they arrived like we asked. Quick, complete and gave us some tips on improvements we could make in the crawl space. We've been using them for years and have always been pleased.

After many years of performing our own pest control and seeing an increase in bugs over this past spring and summer, we finally decided to hire an expert. Decided to give these guys a try after reading positive reviews on Angie's List and an intial informational phone call that I placed to them. Office staff is very professional and easy to work with. Our initial visit with the technician was great. He explained everything he was doing on the inside and outside and gave us feedback of some things we could do like caulking the area near the sink pipes to keep creatures out. We have 2 dogs and before he treated the backyard, he warned me to close the dog door so they poochies couldn't get outside for a couple hours. We were very pleased with the service and will continue with quarterly treatments.

We have a termite contract with them. When the guy came out, I asked him about mice and things but he said that was not their kind of business. They are termite guys and only do termites. They are specialized in to that side of the business. We had a good sale inspection when we bought the house and we've been with them ever since. They are a little on the higher end on price but they are very good. We've never had any issues with them. They go into the crawlspace and they go around the perimeter of the structure. They require that we move everything from the sides of the garage so that they can inspect that closely. Thanks to them that we clean our garage once a year. I think we are getting what we are paying for. They are good at reminding us. They are always here when they say they would be.

The company returned my phone call promptly and set up an appointment for a one-time treatment. We did not go with a long term contract only because we're going to start construction on our home and it won't have a roof for a while!The technician (Steve) arrived on time and was very thorough, polite and professional. They guaranteed their work and checked back a few days later to make sure everything was ok.I would absolutely recommend them and will sign a long term contract with them when our construction is completed.

They always call in advance so I have time to reschedule if needed. The same technician comes a majority of the time so he is familiar with the house and where any problem areas might be. I just have really good luck and service with them.

They are fine and I have been very happy with them. I haven't had any need to look out for anybody else. They always come out when I schedule. Next day a supervisor came out to make sure everything was done properly.
