I purchased a big deal for two hours of electrical work, and called to set up a time. They said they were pretty booked over the next couple of weeks but I mentioned the details of the project and that I was concerned about the current wiring and how the light wasn't working and didn't want to leave it that way for an extended period of time. They were nice enough to make time for to come out the very next morning. They came on time, were very pleasant and were able to fix the wiring and get the light and both switches up and running in less than half of an hour. I had spent hours trying to get it to work myself and couldn't so I was very impressed! I will use them again in the future.

The service was great. The providers were professional and tidy. The one thing I would mention has nothing to do with the service provider and their work, which was excellent. It is more of a suggestion for how to word future deals of this nature. It is easy to misinterpret and assume that the deal was for 2 people for 2 hours. What it actually means is that it is one hour per person, totalling two man-hours. Therefore my suggestion would be to clarify this for future offers.

Matt was very responsive to my request, provided valuable suggestions, installation was very professional, and did a good job. Appreciated his followup to make sure everything was OK.

Final price was $99, plus additional materials that were necessary due to faulty renovations.

Matt was very easy to work with, quite personable, and was very conscientious about the quality of his work. Given the age of my house (1967) and some strange wiring/circuitry, I preferred having an electrician handle even some of the relatively simpler tasks. Due to the *unique* characteristics of my home, some issues arose that probably necessitated extra work and, thus, more labor (spread over several days). I was present for much of the work, so I know the labor total was fairly accurate and I feel good about the end result. When one of the new ceiling fans apparently malfunctioned a couple weeks later, Matt returned immediately to replace it (at no cost to me and the problem was unrelated to the installation). I will not hesitate to contact Matt in the future for electrical work.

Matt is very personable and very responsible. He was willing to work around our schedule and does great work.

Matt removed the switch control unit and tested the on/off switch to determine which component of the control unit was not functioning properly. Once the problem was confirmed, Matt planned the solution and readied the repair solution. He was committed to the agreed upon time and completed the task professionally. I will use Sloan Electric again without hesitation.

Contacted Matt Sloan of Sloan Electric Service based on Angie's List reviews. He was agreeable to the scope of work requested, which involved performing work on a 1960's house with some unique conditions, obtaining a construction permit from the Town of Cary, and then working with the municipal inspection department/electrical inspector and the power company to set everything up to be completed in one day. This included getting the town inspector out to the jobsite before any work was started to verify that the intended upgrades would meet the required standards (electrical codes). Matt was available and responsive during preliminary communications before the work was to be done (including after regular hours), and was able to coordinate everything to get the job done in the time allotted, so we were only without power for most of one day. Big relief! The work went smoothly, and we were satisfied with the finished product. We would definitely hire Sloan Electric Service again if additional electrical work is needed!

Matthew showed up on time and quickly identified the problem. The repair was done quickly, he was courteous and I would use him again.

Hung 2 chandeliers in our dining room. Required precision measuring to ensure the lights were perfectly aligned and centered. Could not have asked for a better outcome. They look great. Will absolutely hire Matt for future work.

Matt was great to work with. Installation was exactly as we discussed and he gave us a very fair price for the work.

I called Matthew first thing on the morning of my day off, and he was able to meet my time constraints and come that afternoon. He showed up promptly, and did the work as described. I was also having a problem with something else that was not in his field, and he even called me back that evening with the name of someone who would be able to solve that problem also. Very pleasant and helpful to work with.

Knew ahead of time this would be a difficult job that might require potentially extensive cutting of drywall due to significant cross bracing of ceiling joists and exterior walls. Sloan Electric was selected because the Angie's list ad implied he had skill in making the least possible damage when routing wires. thru drywall. And he did it by making only 4 repairable drywall openings (1 ceiling and 3 wall) with no discernible damage to the rest of the ceiling or wall. Very pleased with both the quality of the work performed and the skill presented while doing it. Yes. I paid attention to what he was doing and closely inspected his work when he would go out to the truck for tools, parts, etc. At the end of the day (he did take most of one day. as I said earlier, it was not an easy task) he cleaned up all visible drywall debris and left my kitchen as if he had not yet started, when indeed he was finished. I must point out that one of my requirements was that before he could start, he must arrange for a drywall repair person to come and work with me to arrange for repairing the expected damage. He did! And that person did an excellent job repairing the drywall. Overall I was pleased with all aspects of Sloan Electric's work on our kitchen.

Matthew did a great job changing out all the fixtures. He showed me what was causing the problems with the old fixtures and explained why I was having problems with them. He worked efficiently and cleaned up his work areas. He boxed up the old fixtures for me as well. Definitley will use him again. His charges were reasonable.

I found Matt Sloan to be punctual, conscientious, courteous, persistent in searching for the cause of the failure, and able to describe in terms I could understand, his investigative process in determining the cause of the problem, and the conclusions he made as he tested various hypotheses. He searched diligently for the source of the failure, first pursuing my concern that the problem was caused by actions of a rodent that had recently invaded part of my house, then looked for other sources of the problem when the rodent theory did not appear to pan out. At all times he was professional. He showed concern for safety in both performing the job and in the results of his repairs. I would certainly call on him again if I require further electrical services.

Matthew was very prompt and accommodated my desire to have this work done during my lunch hour, on the same day I contacted him. He thoroughly explained several options to me, and once I chose one, he proceeded to do an excellent job. The combination of great service, fair pricing, and a personable, trustworthy owner makes this a company I would use again and recommend.

Matt, did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. Although Matt was at my house to put in an outlet in the crawl space for the dehumidifier, he was willing and able to address a problem with my landscaping lights while he was on the job. It really helped that Matt could take care of the landscaping lights without tying it into another visit. Matt was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating.

As a realtor in the triangle area, I am a huge fan of Sloan Electric Service.. I've worked with many electrician's in the past and getting a hold of them isn't always svery easy. Matt, not only answered my call immediatly, but was happy to fit me in asap and started working the next day. Matt is very timely and respective of the homeowners need to get the work completed. The price was very reasonable and Matt explains all of the cost outlining the labor/ parts and the expected time it will take to complete the job to include what may or may not present problems. At each step he sought the customers approval of positioning and cosmetic look of interior and exterior additions before cutting Sheetrock etc. Excellent communicator and number one concern Matt has for his customers is safety and functionality. I would and have used Sloan Electric since this job. Highly recommend.

We just moved into our new house and recognized that the plug on our washer and dryer was a different prong than the receptacle in the house. I researched that this issue could be dangerous to fix ourselves because of improper grounding techniques so I decided to call an expert. I remembered someone giving me the name of Sloan Electric here in the Raleigh-Durham area who did a great job for them! I called to make an appointment for them to come out and help us with our problem. Matt immediately picked up the phone- even though it was a Sunday and the day before Labor Day!!! I told Matt the problem and he said he could easily assist us with our needs. I was expecting to make an appointment to see him after the holiday but he told me he could swing by late that afternoon as he was going to be in the area for a personal endeavor as it should not take too long and he understood that we could not wash and dry clothes after the long move. Wow! Matt came by that day and not only did he fix our problem we asked him to, he also addressed a fuse issue he found in our electrical panel as well while troubleshooting the dryer problem. Matt was prompt, courteous, and explained to me what he was doing through the whole process and why it was a good idea to call him- risk of electrocution. Best of all, Matt did such a great job on a holiday weekend when we really needed his help most. A Big thumbs up to him- I highly recommend Matt following the recommendation I was given to use him. My confidence in contractors has been restored!
