Joel was awesome. Arrived within a few hours of my request for assistance. Super friendly, courteous & attentive. Went right to diagnosing the issue. Explained very clearly how he had to unfreeze coil, checked fan, checked freon, etc. Here's the best part, straight up honest assessment, no exaggerations, job complete within the hour. I literally am writing this review as Joel is pulling out of driveway - that is how impressed I was. Will definitely be using Sloan HVAC service for future needs.

Two employees showed up for a one man job - and paid for both. Work was fine but would not use again due to excessive rates.

Jason was there when he said he was going to be there and extremely friendly and professional. While he was investigating why the outlets were out on the front of our house he noticed that whoever installed the hot water heater ran 20 amp wiring to the 30 amp circuit, something our home inspector had missed and a major fire hazard, and fixed that too. Each issue was quickly identified and fixed. I highly recommend Sloan to anyone who needs service done. Their pricing was reasonable and I didn't mind paying at all considering the service that was provided.

Wondeful! We had another company come out a few days ago. I had to shop vac the water out and he explained there probably was a clog in the drain line. He used a couple CO2 canisters but said I should use an air compressor if it happens again. :-( It happened again. Contacted Sloan via Angie's List late at night and they were the first to respond. Called them the next day and their technician was at my house 30 minutes later. Joel and Ryan were awesome. They looked at the pipe, went outside to diagnosis the issue, came back in and asked my permission to cut the pipe to clear a potential clog and quoted me a price to do so right away. I agreed and they took care of the issue within 15 minutes. They also shop vac'd the rest of the water in the pan. Very satisfied with their communication and work!

The guy from Sloan was great. He was punctual, very thorough, and explained everything he did so well to help me understand and make an informed decision on the repairs that had to be made. He even pulled a nasty, dirty air filter from one air handler that (apparently) 2 other techs from other companies over the years missed during annual service calls? It was caked with mold and dirt - and that's coming through our vents for years!! That's thorough. He was not high pressure when it came to 'selling' me repairs, he explained what was urgent as well as difficult to do, but also what, with some homeowner handiness, could be done ourselves. I appreciated that. I purchased some of the more difficult repairs from him while he had the units disassembled for service, and chose to do some myself. He was fine with that and pleasant. He cleaned our outside units very thoroughly they looked brand new. I would definitely hire in the future.

Joel and Dom were wonderful. We replaced 2 traditional thermostats with wireless ones. They were customer purchased so one didn't meet the requirements of the system it was attached to. Joel explained everything in detail and even called the manufacturer to find out the model that would work with our system.. They had to come back out to install it which required a rewire but it went smoothly. They are awesome and I'm also going to get a service contract with them. Highly recommended.

I felt good during the initial visit and estimate when the gentleman in charge suggested a fix for a problem that the other three estimators had not suggested. It seemed a reasonable fix. When the bid came in under other services, I had an easy choice to make. At every step of the process, communication was prompt, professional, and accurate. The crew showed up when they were supposed to and completed the work efficiently and neatly. The company even filed all of the paperwork required for a rebate from the energy company, which I received much faster than I anticipated.

They restored my faith in humanity. They gave a very clear idea of when they were coming back and followed through. They worked a full day and it wasn't a guessing game for when they would come back. They are very polite, courteous, and mindful of your home and space.

A Sloan Service Co representative replied the same day, and an appointment was made for the next day. Joel and his assistant arrived on time. They spent quite a bit of time analyzing the scope of the job. I waited for two days, but received no quote. I contacted them, and then received no response for another 4 days. They have my email and phone number. I cannot recommend Sloan Service Co if they cannot be relied upon to maintain communication, or complete basic aspects of quoting a job.

It was very good. That was the best. I sent a message on a Sunday and I didn't expect any reply. He called me the same day and made an appointment with me. He came on time and he talked about what he could do and my options. He promised to send me a written estimate. Before I know it, I see the written estimate in my email, the same day. He gave me options and I told him. He sent a reply and asked when could they install it. They took away the old unit and put in a new unit. Also things I didn't expect like a thermostat with wi-fi. They should me how to install the app that can manage the thermostat. I don't have to touch it at all. Where ever I am I can turn on, turn off adjust temperature. How convenient! They applied, for me, a discount from the power company to make them aware of that. Their price was about $2000 cheaper than the other ones. It was amazing.

Advised as result of diagnostic that ceiling light needed replacement...have not yet called back to receive $50 credit toward ceiling fan installation as promised because no other work was done.

Did a good job with electrical panel and lighting installation. A line of three recessed ceiling lights were installed with measured spacing but could have been more precisely positioned in a line. Generally was neat and professional.

Brian is the best. Knows what he's doing, charges very reasonable rate, does a little extra and even reminds me when it's time if I miss it.

Joel and his team did a great job. They were very responsive, reasonably priced and always available for any questions.

I purchased the deal on Sunday and was able to get Joel out on Monday to look at the unit. While we worked through the issue Joel was very thorough, explaining to me what he was testing and what the results meant. Once we determined the issue and what parts needed to be replaced, Joel recommended a second opinion since these were not cheap parts. At this point I thought Joel would provide me with an estimate and leave, but he provided some recommendations for reputable companies. Joel took it a step further and even called a few companies for me to get their service fee pricing! Joel provided me written estimates that evening. Once I was able to get the second opinion completed (Sloan Service's pricing was HALF the price of the other company), I called Joel to proceed with the repairs. He came back quickly and completed the repairs in a timely fashion. My only gripe about Sloan Service was their van was unmarked. I would HIGHLY recommend Sloan Service for any HVAC work. Their pricing and diagnostic charge ($10!) were great. I will be using them again.

I am revising the review that I gave yesterday after talking with Mathew Sloan, the owner. It turns out that he asked my property manager for my phone number, didn't get it in time and was told by the property manager to replace the freon. Had he be able to reach me, I would have told him to find the leak and fix it before adding freon. That is what he wanted to do. I feel much better about his company after talking with him. Yes, I would recommend him.

I loved the service so much I signed up for a maintenance agreement!

I found out after he was there that there was a freon leak so he replaced the freon. I would have preferred that he call me or my property manager, explain that there was a leak and did we want it fixed. In general, I should have paid more and gone with a company with whom I already work and trust. I don't mean to imply that Sloan Service did a poor job because his work was not bad, just not as complete as I would have liked. Perhaps he tried to call me--if he didn't reach me, he should have texted me.

The gentleman installed the lights in a tidy and efficient manner and they work beautifully. He was very polite and conscientious in his work. He did a very nice job.

Joel did a wonderful job installing a completely new HVAC system in my home. He was always early, explained everything, and did extremely neat work. Even sealing the floor where my old furnace used to be. I'm very happy with the work they did. A few weeks later I was getting estimates for crawlspace work and one of the companies complimented Joel's work for its neatness and took down his name to recommend to future clients.
