What can I say? It's hard to find a good service provider that you can trust as a single woman. But I felt comfortable both with his work and his professionalism. I would recommend Sloan to all of my friends.

Sloan Electric did a great job. They were quick and made great recommendations. They did not charge me for the time required to go out and buy two new fire alarms to install. I will definitely use them again.

I purchased the deal for trouble shooting. I got more than my monies worth on this one, as there were 2 main issues. Matthew (the owner of the company) and his assistant, who was also very competent, showed up about 20 mins early introduced themselves and listened to all my concerns. I showed them the affected switches and he explained his proposed plan of attack and how much it would cost to resolve. Even though it took much longer to find the problem then originally thought they kept their price quote. All of the boxes were rebuilt ensuring that they were wired correctly and the switches were replaced so that they could be brought up to code (all switches now have to be grounded). I am happy with the work and will call them again when I need electrical help.

He explained everything and answered all my questions. He also told me how we could save more money by replacing several of our current bulbs with LED lights. We will definitely use this company again!

All work was performed to my satisfaction. Workmanship was very professional, and complete, with no time wasted. If I have any electrical needs in the future I will certainly call Sloan Electric again.

Matthew was great. He was onsite within a day of service request, showed up on-time, executed the work professionally. A real courteous gentleman that was sincere in making sure we were pleased with his services. Cost of the job was about $75 cheaper than what it cost us for the same job at another location in NC last year. He also gave us a 10% off discount without us asking for it since we were first-time customers.

It went great. We had our house built in 1999 and at the time, thought we didn't want an island in the kitchen. After moving into the house, within 3 months, we decided we did want an island and had one put in to match cabinets -- but we never put in an electric outlet. As you may know, to do this now...after the fact, take a lot more work. Matt and his partner (who had to go under the house...into the crawl space) worked together to do this installation. It was a little tricky for a minute but it worked out just fine. Both men were professional, but at the same time very personable. They removed their shoes when they came in/out of house, cleaned up floor, etc., before leaving. We will definitely use them again for electrical services. Cherry Butcher-Hicks

in a word, it went EXCELLENT! Matthew arrived at our house on time to the minute of the appointment. I gave him and Jason a quick explanation of our needs for the work. They commenced work right away and did a truly outstanding job! They even completed one extra wiring task on our telephone line that we needed. Everything was completed on budget, I only paid a little extra for supplies I did not provide, which I expected. Sloan Electric has gained my trust, and I will be contacting them for follow on electrical work as needs warrant.

We initially purchased a "big deal" in which we had Matt do some relatively easy jobs like installing lights and fixing switches. During his first visit we also discussed a much larger job which involved rewiring our attic for power and internet cabling. After observing Matt's initial work and discussing our other needs, it was apparent that he had the skills and knowledge to accomplish what we needed. Matt has a great work ethic, was punctual and conscientious about communicating any schedule changes/adjustments despite his busy schedule, is very safety conscious, and we were extremely happy with the work he and Jason did for us. We will definitely hire Matt and Jason for any future electrical work that we need.

We had an excellent experience! Matthew and his fellow team member arrived on the day scheduled. I had to leave my home unavoidably, but felt very comfortable leaving them to work on the issues we had previously discussed. Upon my return, it was explained to me what they had being working on and the source of our issues. They made a great effort to show me the damaged parts and why they were not safe or functional. What I did not expect were the great recommendations on replacing some of our fixtures with more cost effective ones. I was not aware that these resources were available and appreciated the opportunity to take advantage of getting that done, while they already in my home. Ahead of my appointment, Matthew spent a good deal of time with me discussing what we wanted to have done. It was very important to him to establish my expectations on what could be completed in a particular time frame. Despite the fact that I could not offer too much information, he shared his thoughts on some of the possibilities and reassured that the work could be completed in the time frame we had scheduled. We were not charged for that time. Matthew is a very knowledgeable and polite young man with a great future ahead of him. Our plans are to have him come and do a thorough safety inspection of our entire home, based on our experiences and his findings. We look forward to using him again. We know the job will be done right and professionally. I will be recommending him to family and friends whenever possible.

A very efficient service...done quickly after realizing the ballast had seen it's last days. Working great. Would use this company again and would definitely recommend them. Very pleased.

Matt was extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the entire project. He and Jason were punctual, explained what they were going to do and cleaned up dust and debris afterwards. I highly recommend his company for any electrical work you may need done.

Matt came by to discuss our project. We went over what I wanted to do and then we found that the project had to be modified from my original intentions. Mat was great about working through how things would go and we set up a followup appointment for him to do the work.

Some of the wood siding was chipped when hole was cut for the light and they touched it up. I am pleased with the suggestions they made (using a motion light and adding a switch inside), and the replacements of the other lights. The 2 electritions were effeciant and thinking of ways to get the job done and be in code.

Sloan Electric is the only contractor I will use for all of my electrical needs. They are prompt, curteous, honest, detailed and reasonably priced. I can't say enough about how pleased I have been with their work. I highly suggest giving them your business if you haven't already!

I wanted my kitchen track lights repaired and a GFI receptacle installed for a sump pump, but the provider was concerned about the age and overall condition of my electrical system. Since they did not feel good about undertaking the desired projects at this time, they advised me on alternatives and also made sure there was no immediate fire danger from the kitchen lighting. I paid them for the time they spent at my house (about 1 hour). I would consider using them again.

Matt kept us informed about arrival time. He is a great problem solver. He provided some solutions we had not thought of. We now have light in our garage!!! I had some problems with a heavy duty plug after he left and he came back promptly and set it straight..

I purchased an Angie's big deal for four hours of labor; Services were scheduled promptly, Matthew called the day of repairs to let me know they would be a few minutes late; They were patient in trouble shooting our door bell problems, were efficient in all work and very professional and polite. I'd definitely call them again for additional services.

Sloan Electric's technician seemed knowledgeable and advised us briefly on a couple of other projects we are considering. He spent the entire visit doing the work we wanted done. He moved quickly and wasted no time. When he finished, he did a good job of cleaning up the insulation which fell through the hole in the ceiling. He was pleasant and professional. We are very pleased with everything.

Good, they had to reschedule because of inclement weather but they were able to get me in the next week. They were slightly late but called ahead of time to tell me. Service tech was friendly and professional and he was able to do work required. He ran into some obstacles but was creative in solution to address issue. Originally I wanted motion switches installed but it didn't work with my existing setup so he notified me right away about the issue.

I purchased the Big Deal (8 hours of labor for $395) and was hesitant at first about doing so, for a company we have never worked with before, and trusting them with this big a project. We have been pleasantly surprised each step of the way. Matthew was proactive about getting in touch, discussed our project over the phone, then came over to take a look. He and Jason were polite, knowledgable, showed up on time for each appointment, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The project went well over the 8 hours of labor for the big deal, yet the additional cost for his services were very reasonable, and within the amount he quoted us before starting the project. On top of that, the quality of work was exceptional and passed inspection without a hitch. I am very grateful to have found Sloan Electric Service and will be calling Matthew first thing whenever we need electrical work done.

Originally I had only three lights for the contractor to install. However, upon completing these three installations, they offered to look at the wiring for several other lights. They found issues with the wiring safety and rewired all of them, helping to make us feel safer.

Matt was a wonderful worker. He explained everything he was doing and why it needed to be done! He wants his customer to feel like they really know whats going on! He was quick and answered all of our questions! I would use him again!
