A year later 4-2015, honored warranty of defective attic fan motor even without receipt. That's customer service! Pointed out potential issue with attic fan housing that can allow squirrel invasion and / or rain damage.

The reason we needed an electrician at our home was due to lightning damage from a severe electrical thunderstorm on Thursday April 9th. We took a direct hit around 6:00 PM that night somewhere along the perimeter of the house which caused a huge boom somewhere inside the house and several damages to plugs, A/C, Furnace, Home Entertainment Equipment, etc.. Jason came out the next day for the purpose of examining the entire home for any potential fire hazards as a result of the lightning strike. He arrived on time and was very professional and completed an extensive examination of the house including the attic and crawlspace for any damages. He identified a few receptacles that needed to be replaced and performed the job. That evening I noticed that some outside accent lights were not going on and called Jason. I asked him if he would come out to look over the problem at no cost. We agreed on Monday, April 13 at 9:00 AM and he arrived right on time. Once again, he found and resolved the problem quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company and I would certainly call them again in the future when the need arises. Jason was a pleasure to work with, explained and answered all my questions and concerns, and came out a second time to help me out at no charge, which few other companies will do these days.

Probably the most professional service I have ever received on my home. We have had electrical issues for years and even though several of the repairs were simple in nature, they pointed out some very big issues and repaired the original shoddy construction. Their price was very fair given the amount of work and time they put in. Gave detailed explanations and demos on every repair. This is the only electrician I will ever call again in the future!! That went very good. We were very impressed with it. So we would use them again if we had the choice. They charged an additional $500 because they couldn’t get what they needed to get done within the two hours. We had two projects; one of them they didn’t do and the other one took a lot longer. We wanted them to put an outside light of an existing switch which they couldn’t do. The technicians didn’t really seem very confident about what they were doing. We were kind of worried about what they were doing. They were pretty young guys. They were pretty responsive. He was pretty backed up after the deal but he got to us pretty quick. His punctuality was good. We were shocked that he wanted to charge us $500 above the $99. He did a good job and the switch is working. His professionalism wasn’t very good.

I purchased the switches prior to making the appointment so that lowered the cost of the job. The technician installed the switches and during the process he explained how the job was being completed. Additionally, he provided some helpful suggestions regarding general maintenance of the electrical panel and the breakers.

It went well, Jason showed up on time, did the work quickly especially after I mentioned I'd just gotten home from a night shift and had to get to sleep so I could do another one later that evening. He showed me how to disable the alarm if that need ever arose and was done and gone within an hour and a half, which included getting the smoke detectors from Lowes.

I noticed a strong scent of burning electrical wire so I contacted 911 and the wonderful Cary Fire Department responded. After they thoroughly investigated my house and noticed that the breaker had been tripped by a broken furnace (still waiting on the HVAC people to finish that repair, sigh) they recommended contacting a licensed electrician asap. Well, it was after 8 pm so I crossed my fingers, mentally prepared myself to write out a huge check and went to Angie's list. I found Sloan and called. I explained the situation and Jason said he would be over within the hour. True to his word, he was here within the hour and noticed the overwhelming smell immediately. Believe me, this was no faint scent. After checking that the furnace was turned off and determining that something else was also contributing, he went about checking each room in the house with his nose. The crawl space and attic space were also inspected. He was relentless and wouldn't give up until he found the source. Let's just say that this was not a simple case. He was determined to figure it out and it was not an easy task. He had to go up and down the stairs, room-to-room numerous times to locate the exact source. The scent would seem stronger in one area then shift to another area. He checked each and every outlet, light switch, lamp, ceiling fan, etc.... There are a lot of outlets and switches! He was professional, determined, polite and pleasant as he went about the search. The whole thing was baffling but he didn't want to leave until he located the problem so that we could rest easily and safely. He located a broken switch and replaced it. The job took nearly two and a half hours and he worked each and every minute of it. He was courteous and dedicated to finding a solution. I would highly recommend Jason and the company! I would especially recommend them in an after hours emergency situation. The price was reasonable for an after hours emergency situation and less than I envisioned when I picked up the phone. We're new to the area and feel confident that we have found "our" electrician. Thanks, Jason!!

They were incredibly nice and had me check several things before they came out. They came out and fixed my issue and were honest and tried to fix the problem over the phone before coming out and charging for unnecessary services. They did a great job, and I have no problem with my fan.

The technician was polite, efficient, and got the job done. He also advised on what to buy for some other projects. We have more work for Sloane and will be calling them again.

Jason changed all the receptacles in our upstairs and a couple switches and since he had changed all the downstairs receptacles in two previous visits, our house wiring is up to code. I am very happy he came as one of the receptacles literally fell apart when he pulled it out. Jason is friendly and knowledgeable and very fast! So, we are all set!

Within 24 hours of my first call, Sloan Electrical Services had all of my electrical issues taken care of at a fair price. Very prompt service! They were very professional and did quality work. They ended up replacing several ordinary wall outlets and one GCFI outlet.

The visit went very quick and smoothly. He diagnosed the problem quickly, replaced the unit and we haven't had an issues since. (Before that, the breaker was tripping weekly, sometimes even more often.)

Mathew and his assistant were on time, respectful of my property, answered emails and texts promptly. He explained the work done in a way I understood and did not do a project I thought needed to be done but Mathew said I did not. His rates were fair and I will be referring him to a family member for work they need done.

Great service. I had to reschedule due to another job they had, but came on the next day and was waiting patiently when I came home form work. His was even early. Only took 45 minutes to do all three. I just got very frustrated with the work my neighbor did and after 2 months I broke down and called them. I'm glad I did. Not only was he efficient, but explained why it wasn't working and how he fixed the issues. He made sure everything worked and answered my questions. They are decently priced for their trade.

I was at work when they did the service, but my wife was home. They did a good job. We had an issue with our doorbell and a wiring problem with the front porch light too.

Matt was contacted about 8:30 and was at my house by 9:00. I was kind of in a panic because my refridge. had been off over night. No time was lost and he found the problem immediately and fixed it.

Sloan was prompt, courteous and professional. Most importantly, they have the knowledge to do electrical projects the right way the first time. I was very happy to meet them!

Matt was very professional. He showed up for his appointment on time. We walked through what we wanted done and he offered several suggestions and alternatives regarding the switches for the fans. This was great to hear as we wouldn't have thought of these ourselves. When the time came to install, Matt and his assistant were on time and did the work as expected. As he needed to cut several holes in the office wall and ceiling to run the wires, he made plans to return after the holes were patched. Matt's assistant returned when scheduled and quickly hung the last fan. Our only negative would be with the subcontractor Matt used for the drywall repair. While professional, he was a bit distracting and took much longer than expected. He showed up for his appointment only to say he couldn't do the job that day and planned a return for the upcoming Saturday. When done, he asked for cash instead of a check. This wouldn't have been a problem if he had asked in advance but it was a Saturday and we were already late for an event due to the length of time taken to make the repairs. The repairs were done well so can't complain there but we felt him to be a bit unprofessional and let Matt know as well. Matt apologized for our inconvenience. Overall, I would highly recommend Matt! Great price, professionalism and result!

We were very pleased with the services provided by Sloan Electric. Matthew did an excellent job of explaining what would be done, alternative solutions, and resolving minor issues as they came up. Because of the high quality results, and overall professionalism, and reasonable costs, I will have no hesitation in hiring Sloan Electric for upcoming work.

Everything went well! He came when he said he would and did what he said he would at cheaper than the agreed upon cost. Everything that he fixed/installed works as designed. I will use him again for any future electrical projects.

I called a week ago and spoke to Matt. I needed the work done soon for house closing. Matt and Jason arrived on time and got started right away. They were very friendly and heard everything I said. We contacted Sloan after receiving a home inspection report from our Buyers. Even though we did not have an emergency, time was of the essence due to the imminent closing date on our home and Sloan came out the very next day to make the necessary repairs. In fact, one of the outlets that was deemed non-functioning in the inspection report was indeed working. It would have been very easy to replace this outlet and charge us for it. Instead Matthew tested it first to confirm. This in itself saved us money. Matthew was very knowledgeable and spent time explaining what was needed to complete the job. After another company began the job of updating our outlets and ran into difficulty, the technician was called off of the job and we were abandoned. My wife and I were at a loss for what to do; we had paid for time and nothing had gotten done. We found Sloan Electric on Angie?s List and they came in where the other guys left off. They diagnosed the problem and replaced all of our outlets and switches. Matt and Jason were professional and affordable. They did quality work and cleaned up after themselves. In fact, the original problem required that new wiring be run from the attic, so they ended up having to stay late into the evening to make sure the job was done before they left. Although I don?t know much about electrical work, Matt and Jason explained everything clearly. You could just tell that they were not cutting corners, even if there were possible shortcuts.
