I called Sloan Electrical Services after having one of my A/C units stop cooling. I was given their name from a friend who had used them for similar reasons and spoke very highly of their work. I called Matt that morning and he called me back promptly and arranged for a time to come out and look at my A/C unit that same day. After looking at the unit and discussing the issues with me, I decided a new unit would be my best option. I told Matt I would get back to him in a couple of days. During this time, I got two quotes from two other companies and found that Sloan Electrical Services was very reasonably priced. The new unit was ordered and Matt and Joel were out to install it in no time. Sloan Electrical Services were prompt, courteous, professional, clean and accommodating to my schedule. I would use Sloan Electrical Services in the future and would recommend them to a friend.

GREAT! Matt, Joel, and Corey were very kind and professional. They explained everything in detail, checked with me numerous times to make sure that they knew exactly what I needed done, and offered me an itemized quote upfront. They took the proper time to do everything right, and they were very friendly throughout. I would use them again, and I highly recommend them. (I gave them a B on Punctuality, because they were running an hour late this morning at another job site. But they called ahead to let me know. I'd much rather work with someone who gets the job done right than with someone who rushes from job to job, so I think they handled the situation well.)

The work performed was excellent and better than expected. The electrician took the time to explain each task and shared his expert opinion, when needed, to help me make a better decision. I plan to hire them again to install bathroom fixtures and for future projects as needed.

The pole lamp had been damaged by falling tree limbs. Electrician purchased the lamp top part of the outside pole and an LED bulb. He painted the pole with a matching flat black paint. I did not expect him to do the painting, but he wanted to complete the job without charging me more. It's great to see someone take pride in their work. It purchased the outside carport light with my approval. That looks good, too.

They came, they saw, they conquered.....were in and out and did the job quickly and efficiently with the minimum of fuss. $225 well spent.

Jason and Corey were both punctual and professional. They spent more than a few hours at my home locating all of the outdoor inoperable lighting lamps and bulbs. Jason provided an estimate for parts and labor, both did the work getting every broken light in our front yard working again and looking really nice. It took making a few trips to the hardware store to find the right parts, but they both stayed until the job was done right. Great work! Will definitely call on Sloan Electric Service inc. again.

We had about 5 tries to actually make the appointment, once because I had to reschedule, once because the job before me went longer than expected and twice because of weather. Once they came, they discovered the best way to set up the new wiring for the light fixture, but that involved having another person present for safety reasons. When the job finally occurred, they arrived on time and were done to my complete satisfaction. The job was beautiful and the rescheduling was as much my problem as theirs because of the hours that I worked and was available to be at the house to let them in. I appreciate that they did not take the "easy" way out, but looked at the best way to set up the new wiring. I would definitely recommend this company and use them in the future!

To complete the job he had to develop a safe and creative solution. He did so in a timely fashion. Due to some scheduling confusion, he came on a Saturday to meet our deadline. We are grateful for their prompt and professional response and will call Sloan again.

The entire service went extremely well. The technicians diagnosed the problem and replaced all for circuit breakers in our outside circuit breaker box. The technicians were extremely professional, friendly and thorough. Additionally, I mentioned that we had for outlets in our screened in porch that were inoperative. Within five minutes the technicians had diagnosed the problem as a loose wire in one of the outlets. After six years all the outlets in the screen porch are now operational. Great service, great folks...

Jason analyzed the problem thoroughly, creating the access and taking the time to assess the damage. After concluding that the damage was superficial, and the wire could be repaired instead of replaced, Jason completed the repair, tested everything, and we were all set. I would definitely call Sloan Electric again.

Arrived as scheduled, preformed work in a professional manner. Was very courteous.

It went great. I had mounting brackets they had never seen before, but they put them together and installed them like the pro's they are. The tv's and soundbar are in the perfect places. They installed my vintage Tole Chandelier without issue and it looks wonderful. Removing the old light fixture in the closet was a bear, but they did it and installed a nice modern one that lights all parts of the closet. They did an excellent job. They are courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I will always use them for electrical needs!

I have been remiss in not providing reviews for Sloan Electric earlier because in both visits we received excellent service. They went out of their way to accommodate our remodeling schedule on very short notice, were professional and very reasonable in price. I'm so sorry I did not send this review earlier. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone needing electrical service.

Jason and Corey came by as a team. They were a tad late but I overlooked it as it was only by 15 minutes. Corey is learning but has a very enthusiastic attitude. Jason is clearly more seasoned as an electrician but the two of them arrived ready to review the list of items I wanted help with. I had bought an AL deal back in April so needed to redeem my deal and also, wanted to get my electrical stuff addressed. They cheerfully agreed to handling my entire list. I needed three outdoor ground lights (that I had purchased at Home Depot), replaced. They clipped them in proficiently. The next item was a bulb needing replacing in a very awkward location at the front of my carport. They got out their ladder and Corey willingly went up to replace it with a bulb I had provided. In doing so, Corey accidentally broke off the bottom of the bulb when he tried to insert it into the holes. Apparently, the wires were a bit far apart so Corey tried a little too hard to get it to fit. It broke. Jason immediately asked me here the nearest hardware store was so he could replace it and finish that job. He left and came back soon with a new bulb in hand. I told Corey that we all make mistakes and Corey was very apologetic. Jason also, didn't complain to either of us as he realized that small things like that can happen to all of us, I then asked Corey if he could replace the electrical on and off button section on a handmade stained glass nightlight that failed. I showed him a generic nightlight fixture I had bought at HD that I hoped might replace the broken one. He quickly took the old one off and added the new piece. I was thrilled that the old nightlight I loved could again shine bright. It did that for the first time in a long time last night. I plan on shining it nightly from now on. I also have a bathroom fixture with halogen lights. One of the bulbs went out and it looked hard to replace the way the fittings appeared. Corey got on his ladder and again, enthusiastically showed me (as I had asked to learn for future replacements), how to do the bulb replacement. He showed me how which I much appreciated. I told him I love to learn new things and he echoed that thought about himself. I wanted a new smoke alarm installed over where I had a wired one that recently failed. Jason was glad to tie off the electrical connection and installed the new unit where the old one had previously been. It looks great. Two of my bedroom outlets were a bit loose and I asked if they would tighten those up. Again, Corey came in my bedroom armed with his screw driver, took off the outlet covers, and tightened the insides and outsides. I also asked them some questions about a future repair and two potential future installations. Jason was very willing to discuss those with me and gave me a price estimate for each.. After they left, I went outdoors to check out the new lights and found that some cord wasn't buried on one fixture as I had wanted so I called Jason and asked if they would come back. He was very polite and said they would swing by later that day after he spoke to Corey about it. Corey said that he had left that particular light incomplete when he went to work on another one. So they both came back and willingly buried the cords. I much appreciated that extra effort. All in all, I felt I got very good value for the deal I bought through Angie's List. I would recommend Sloan's Electric Service to anyone needing quality electrical service. I would hire them again.

Jason and Corey were right on time. They were professional in appearance and knowledgeable about the situations. I have used them before to correct outdoor motion sensor light so I was already impressed with their level of service. They quickly removed the broken light and made sure the dimmers matched the bulbs. There are issues about whether a dimmer will work with some of the new energy efficient bulbs. They repaired a loose connection in the phone jack, as well Very clean and considerate. Highly recommend.

I What was a stressful and long problem was made bearable by the patients and professionalism of Sloan Electric. Prompt service fixing the problem... all permits and inspection included, no surprises. I rated a "B" in price only because I had nothing to compare it to, but I don't feel we were taken advantage of due to the urgent nature of the work. I didn't deal with them directly, my wife and her mother did, and they were very pleased. I would hire them again in a heartbeat...

It went great! They fixed it without having to cut into the wall! I was very pleased with their skill and professionalism.

This was a very long job because of the fact that the fans we bought said they were for vaulted ceilings, but didn't tell us they were limited to an angle of 34.5 degrees. Our ceiling has a slightly greater slope, so Jason tried two stores to see if he could find one selling the right adapter, but neither store had it. I rescheduled and ordered the only angled ceiling adapter kit Hunter had on their website. On the next attempt to install, we discovered the adapter kits only worked if you were mounting the fan directly to a beam in the ceiling (which we were not). We rescheduled again, and I special-ordered adapters that Jason specifically described to me from a specialty lighting store. Once they were in, Jason came back out and discovered that while they worked, they hadn't come with new covers for the mounting bracket, and the ones that came with the fan were for an unusually shaped bracket and didn't work with the adapter. I was about to pull my hair out, but Jason again went to the store, found color-matching covers that worked with the special adapters I had bought, came back, and had both fans installed within an hour and a half. They were careful with their tools and equipment in my house, cleaned up after themselves, worked with my schedule, and very polite and helpful. Their patience with my very non-standard fans was very, very appreciated, especially given that I had hired them to do it via an Angie's List deal, so they were working at a reduced rate. I love my new ceiling fans and would hire them again for other electrical needs!

They were great. Very responsive and knowledgeable. Punctual and friendly. Did great work. My only complaint is they left quite a bit of sawdust in the garage on our stuff...if they had just asked me to move things I could have avoided having to get sawdust out of sunglasses/bike parts/etc. later on.

They arrived promptly -- and I realized that I'D FORGOTTEN TO PURCHASE THE LIGHT! So Jason found one on his phone that might work for me that Home Depot carried, and off I went to the store while they cut the hole in the wall that was necessary for the installation. He suggested I get a small one, and also helped figure out what kind of bottom piece would look best on it, so I really appreciated his help! I returned, and Corey immediately started putting the light together while Jason finished pulling the wire that would be necessary. They were extremely nice about my absent-mindedness. They finished quickly, cleaned up after themselves, thanked me for giving them the business, and were on their way. I had bought a special through Angie's List, for $99 for over $200 worth of electrical work, so all that it cost me yesterday was $50 for the material (the connective wiring, the particular three-switch switchplate, etc.). I was very pleased with their advice, their promptness, and their kindness in not making me feel bad about having forgotten to get the porch light (my ONLY assignment for the work!).

Jason Hare and his assistant installed 3 chandeliers and fixed some malfunctioning can lights. We have used Sloan in the past and have always been pleased with their professionalism and quality of work. Jason was running late and actually called before the appointment to inform us and ask if it would be ok to arrive an hour after scheduled. I wouldn't say they are the 'booty wearing, clean up extensively after themselves' perfectionists, but if you are looking for quality work at a fair price, and a firm that you can trust not to take advantage or gouge you, they are a great resource. We will continue to use them in the future and highly recommend. Honest, dependable, trustworthy, professional.

Called and scheduled an appointment for estimates on two projects and left work to meet provider at home. They never showed up! When I called to find out what happened they never returned my call! Not the kind of customer service I would rely on in the future.

Sloan Electric did an outstanding job. I called them around 5 o'clock on a Friday afternoon and not only did they answer the phone but they were very patient and tried to help me identify the problem. They called to confirm the appointment and arrived at the agreed upon time. They also applied the coupon discount without me asking. I would definitely use them again.
