These people are totally useless. I called and spoke to someone who said someone else would get back to me to schedule an appointmet. I waited a week but did not hear from them so I callled again. I got an answering machine and left a message. Again, no call back. Don't waste your time with this company.

Shamrock waterproofing was recommended when we moved from another state into an older home 2 years ago. The job was completed before we moved in; and, we were impressed with the number of workers from other service companies (our handyman, Termite specialist, HVAC installing our duct system), who commented on the quality of the job that Shamrock did, one of them saying “who did your crawl space, it’s immaculate”. Now, 2 years later, we needed a drain system to re-direct storm water in our sloping back yard, and were delighted that Shamrock could do the job. Keith came by within a couple days and explained options and a very fair quote for approximate install in 6 weeks. Michelle, in their office, was so cooperative—she was on top of scheduling, and arranged the date around our vacation plans. As the appointment neared, I took videos of the rainwater and emailed them just so they could see the issue in action. Andrew (a supervisor) felt it was a good idea to come by before the job to check the area out to make sure the plan was on target. On the day of the job, the crew showed up on time, and started to work. They ran into obstacles that they didn’t count on—digging through unexpected tree roots and a lot of clay, as well as 100˚ heat; but, they seemed to take it in stride—working non-stop. When the job was complete, they walked me through the process, pointing out each part of the job, explaining the reasons for lowering dirt in one area, raising it in other areas. It all made sense. And, they paid attention when I requested that they try to dig for the pipe in one area to avoid removing as much grass as possible. They managed to replace the grass in that area so that it looked undisturbed. The workers (Ryan, Oscar and Alberto) were a dedicated team who were respectful, professional, and did the job with seeming care of our yard. We highly recommend Shamrock Waterproofing, and appreciate a job well done!
Description of Work: Two years ago our realtor recommended them to do waterproofing in our crawl space of a home we were moving into. This week, they laid pipes and a drain to catch storm water ruining our yard.

Keith Locker presented Shamrock in a most professional manner for an estimate of work to be done in a basement closet. The closet has two walls which are part of the cinderblock foundation. Although these walls do not leak, the efflorescence was both unsightly and rubbed off on anything that touched it. Shamrock was able to work me into their schedule early and I greatly appreciated it. The work, however, was less than professional. While the back wall looked great (so I know they can do good work), the side wall looked decidedly less so. While I am perfectly aware that basement walls are imperfect, I know that they could have done better on the side wall based on the back wall. When I asked about the issue with the side wall, Shamrock shrugged that that was the best they could do. When I asked Keith to review the pictures that I would send to Angie's List with this review, he complained that I was insufficiently appreciative of the work done and about how little money he had made on the job. I had planned to give Shamrock a B, but his comments lowered this review to a C. He did give me a helpful hint about how I can remove the writing on the side wall trim. So that's something, I guess.

So glad that I found Shamrock Waterproofing. I'd highly recommend them! They know what they're doing, provide excellent work and most importantly, they are honest. I found a nasty leak in the basement after closing on our home. Every time it would rain, water would come in and pool into the basement. It was a nightmare. We had at least 6 different companies come for estimates. They either didn't know what they were doing or weren't being honest with us. We were desperate for a solution and they knew that. They all confidently told us what the problem was and quoted us absurd amounts ranging from $10k - $15k to fix the problem. We started feeling defeated, but kept looking for more companies. We got our hope back when we contacted Shamrock. They came out and pinpointed the leak on the first visit. They provided a realistic and affordable solution, walked us through the process and got the work done in just a few hours. It's rained several times since then and no signs of a leak! Finally, this nightmare is over and we can finally move in and enjoy the entire home. Thanks so much Keith, Andrew and the Shamrock family.

When I bought my old house in Raleigh, the basement leaked terribly every time it rained. Keith and his crew installed a full drainage system and sump. The job was not small and they had to work around all of my unpacked boxes. All of my questions were promptly answered. They did a great job and left the job site clean. After two hurricanes and lots of rain this fall, the basement has not leaked a single drop. Keith was also the best price by far and very knowledgeable. Thank you!!!!

Keith came out to do the estimate. He provided some ideas on how to best fix my drainage problems and got the quote over to me quickly. The installation crew came out a few weeks later and got everything installed. We reviewed the job before they got started and they were done within a few hours. The guys did a great job. They made sure everything was cleaned up when they were done and that I was happy with how everything looked.

Keith Locker planned out the work and gave me a well-drawn diagram that I could submit to my homeowner's association for approval. Keith and Michelle quickly and patiently responded to all my follow-up questions over the next few weeks. The workers, Miguel and two others, showed up on time and did a great job, including very careful cleanup. They put down plastic sheeting to protect the grass nearby. Miguel answered my questions well during the work. The whole project took about 4 hours.

Shamrock came out and assessed the situation very quickly after we called. Keith really knows his stuff. He suggested french drains and a sump pump be installed. He also installed a vapor barrier in the crawlspace. Shamrock was our 3rd estimate and Keith was the most straight forward, didn't try to up-sell me, but did high quality work at a reasonable price. He worked us into his busy schedule, and the work was completed in one morning. We had a great experience with Shamrock!

Alex, Ashley, and the crew went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. In the end, due to unforeseen circumstances and to ensure the waterproofing worked most effectively, they waterproofed much more than was included in the quote and did not charge me a penny more. Alex was an excellent foreman and I was grateful to have someone as knowledgeable and flexible as he is leading the crew. The job ended up taking 3.5 days and was a LOT of work for the 5 men. They were professional, hard-working, and pleasant to be around. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed. We had storms after the work was completed and my crawl space was dry, whereas previously there were obvious streams of water coming in resulting in standing water. I am happy to have the 20 year warranty as back-up too. Overall, we are extremely pleased and compliment Keith on the reasonable price quote and the crew, especially Alex and Ashley, for working with my requests and getting the job done thoroughly.

Called and asked for someone to come out and give us an estimate. They scheduled us very quickly and Andrew showed up on time and was very generous with his time explaining what they could do and how it would all work once the it was completed. After securing other bids, we chose Shamrock for their description of their service, professionalism and price. We are in the process of selling our home and asked that the work be done as soon as possible. They scheduled us within a week. The crew showed up on time and immediately went to work. It took two men two days and they worked tirelessly to see it through. They did an excellent job. When they were done they asked us to come and inspect their work and we were amazed how great everything looked. They cleaned up and left everything looking better than when they got here. Everyone we dealt with at Shamrock was very courteous and helpful. They were sincerely interested in solving the water problem under our house. Thanks to all of you.

So far so good and relieved the work is done! I would use them again if needed and have recommended them to a friend having lot drainage issues. I even had a couple questions regarding the work that was done (since I wasnt able to be home due to my schedule), and their crew came out the next day to review the job and resolve my questions.

They were a good company, I would recommend them. They did their work in a very timely basis for the amount of time they quoted. They dug out the whole front side of my house to install the draining. I got three estimates, they weren't the lowest but they gave me the best scenario on how work would be done. Which I agreed with. They did it and did it right and fixed it.

Keith's crew was set for four days...and that's exactly how it went: efficient,. neat, courteous. Need I say more. And furthermore, the price was very reasonable. To fill in your FAQs They did three sides of the house and only had to remove a few shrubs from one small section.

Shamrock was punctual and very professional. The crawlspace was disgusting before they started their work, so to prevent tracking dirt throughout the house, they laid fabric down to walk on. They were very neat with the exterior work as well.
Description of Work: Shamrock corrected a drainage problem in the back of our house and installed a waterproof membrane on the exterior foundation wall. They also put in a new vapor barrier, sealed the crawlspace vents, put in new insulation, got rid of mold on the floor joists and installed a humidifier. The crawlspace is actually pleasant now. My husband jokes that he's going to turn it into his man cave.

Keith came out on several occasions to estimate (and re-estimate) based on some sink hole (storm drain pipe) issues. He was on time and patient on each visit. When we scheduled the installation, the crew arrived on time! It was a 2-day installation and the work was amazing. It was precisely and professionally done. The drain was dug mostly by hand, but it looked as if a machine had done it. The crew worked hard and was incredibly precise. They cleaned up and worked around some sod I had installed. Again, a great group of professionals. They simply came in, did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and left the property clean and neat. They also fixed the two storm drain sink hole problems for a very reasonable - additional charge. I couldn't ask for a better experience and I highly recommend them!!!
Description of Work: We have a huge drainage problem on our property and wanted to get an "expert" to come in and install a french drain. We were coupling the work with some landscaping, which was being done by another contractor. The french drain would follow our property line from the back yard to the front yard and to the street. It was open in the backyard and covered (grass) in the front yard.

I had a large puddle of water that would not drain in the middle of my yard. Keith came out to the access the situation in August. He was able to tell me immediately that it was an issue with the foundation drain pipes. He told me they needed to cut back the pipe, then run it out past our fence and into the woods. He also assured me that this wasn't going to be a huge project and an easy fix. I received a very affordable estimate within a couple of days. The estimate was 1/2 of what another company quoted me to do the exact same job. Initially, I was told they would not be able to complete the job until October but then I was notified that they had an opening in mid-September. The guys that came out to complete the job were very professional and had it done within a couple of hours. I would definitely use this company again!

Keith (the owner) analyzed the problem quickly and accurately. He is very knowledgeable about construction technique, water entry, and methods of abatement. His crew did a great job and cleaned up perfectly! This project involved a long trench nearly 5 feet deep and a tunnel under a sidewalk for a drain pipe. At mid-day there was a mountain of dirt in my yard, all on tarps, but when they left you couldn't tell they had been here. After a year, I have not had one drop of water indoors. It was expensive, although reasonable for the amount of work, and worth every penny. I highly recommend Shamrock!
Description of Work: I had water entering my crawlspace and adjoining basement. One contractor partially solved the problem but I still had as much as 5 gallons coming in every 3 minutes in a heavy rain. I had a sump pump, but it stopped wheneveer the power failed. And there was some musty odor and residual dampness.

Everything went well. Thanks for a great job.
Description of Work: Keith came up with excellent solution to standing water problem in my driveway. The crew was on time as re-scheduled after rain delay which is expected since the work was outside. They installed a 12 in box drain next to low spot in driveway the ran the line to the back of the house, which required cutting through a concrete walkway and attached the drain pipe to an existing line. It works great. Recent heavy rains were handled perfectly by the new system. They also installed a drain pipe that runs down the other side of the house and connected four downspouts to it. This also works well. Price was very reasonable. They were hard to get with on occasion, but everything worked out in the long run.

This took longer than I was led to believe to schedule, but they ultimately came on time. The work was done very well and I was especially impressed with how they left virtually no trace of their presence. Leaving the area clean was a nice touch. The electrical work installing the pump was also done with attention to detail and adherence to code. Also they found a clever way to handle the discharge, again care taken to leave the yard in good condition despite having needed to excabate some. Basement already drying out. I would recommend!
