+ -1 morePlease be careful with this business. He manipulated an 89 year old woman into paying someone named Freddy Martinez upfront, never completed the job, and refused to provide her with an itemized bill. Very poor business practices!!

I solicited quotes from several of the highest-rated roofing companies I could find, and Roof Roof was both the easiest to work with and the cheapest quote. My experience was excellent - they had an experienced roofer out very quickly to tear out and completely redo two improperly shingled valleys on my home, and had the job done in a matter of hours. No more leaks, and when he was done, everything was done the way it should have been the first time. Cleanup was perfect - not a single nail or shingle to be found in the yard - far more than I can say for the company that installed it in the first place. I would recommend Roof Roof for roof service needs, and would use them again in the future.

Description of Work: There was leak in the main roof. So they pushed the shingles off and new put new sheet on the house and did it all up.

+ -1 moreThey were wonderful. I used them. As a matter of they were so good I had them go to my daughter's house and they put a new roof on her house. Good company.
Description of Work: They had to get on the roof and replace some roof tiles, shingles that had holes in them and they put in new those air holes that come out they are plastic and they break and crack so they replaced those and they just did a good job.

+ -1 moreThe scheduling was fine and there were no additional costs beyond the price of the deal. Bob Coley was the technician who came. He was very nice and friendly. He completed a couple of minor repairs. I think he did a good job with the work, but I can't see what he did. The technician took photos and showed them to me on his cell phone after he came down from the roof. I had asked if he could send them to my email and he agreed. I provided him with my email address to send them to me. When one week passed and I did not receive the photos, I had emailed the man who came out. I have emailed him twice and he has still not gotten back with me. I thought that it would helpful to see what the photos looked like since I was unable to go up on the roof with them.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for a roof maintenance package.

I think he resolved my roof leak issues. overall satisfied. it took a few weeks to get the work scheduled due to other prior work. i expected this since this was an Angies list deal: I expected it to take a little while.

+ -1 moreI was only able to spend a short amount of time with Bob Coley, but this is a man that has a lot passion and integrity about his craft. These are the only people that I want working on my house, but they are extremely hard to find. He fixed the visible issues and pointed out some things I need to to keep an eye on going forward. We went into attic to look for potential problems and check for damage that may have already occurred as well. He explains what he is doing and educates the customer as to what goes into a good roofing job(it's not just slapping a bunch of shingles on your roof). Wish I had know of him a year ago. Anyway he is know on my "short list" of contractors to call for work as well as referrals. By the way the only reason there is a B under punctuality, was a scheduling mix up, which was promptly corrected . On the subject of punctuality; I would much rather know that the contractor did not hurry through the previous job to get to mine, as long as he calls and gives me a heads up. There is way to much shoddy construction out there and you never know what unforeseen problems you'll run into.

+ -1 moreThey were on time as same as the Scott who had come by earlier to take a look at the job and give me an estimate. Scott came back and met the men. He got on the roof with them and they went to work. They found nail holes that had not been filled when the house was built and filled them to keep water out. Workers nail down boards on steep roofs for footing, and then just pulled the boards up and did not bother with the nail holes! Roof Roof also replaced shingles that had cracked and been damaged by storms and hail. The boots needed replacing as they had all cracked and water can seep in around the cracks and through the cracks causing damage to ceilings. They replaced a few shingles that had holes over the "V" s of the roof. Very good experience and great people to have worked with. I have asked for an estimate for my daughters roof since my experience was so good and I feel they are so trustworthy.
Description of Work: replaced boots around exhaust/air pipes and replaced damaged shingles. Inspected entire roof.

Description of Work: "When we called the Findley/RoofRoof.com Charlotte office from here in Raleigh I was told that they did both roofing and siding, both of which we were very interested in having done. The Raleigh representative seemed like a nice guy, we liked him and his roofing estimate was very reasonable. | |I told him we wanted to get the insulated siding and trim done first - before the roof which he very much wanted to do. So he said he would look into the siding part of the job and get us in touch with us. Long story short, he left us hanging on this for over a month and we never heard anything further about it. | |My wife next talked with some companies at the Raleigh Home Show, the first one - Rescue Roofing - has really gone the distance, even going as far as getting our insurance representative up on the roof to prove hail damage, and saving us over $4,000 on the cost of a very upgraded job. Rescue Roofing matched the Findlay bid in every detail, but their extra effort enabled us to go with more expensive architectural lifetime shingles and all-over waterproof membrane too. The roof is now finished and we are finalizing the insulated siding and trim details with them which we expect to be done shortly. Being more complicated that has taken a bit longer. (Once we were given roof and siding samples we drove around many neighborhoods to find a nice combination we liked.) Their siding foreman said putting the roof on first wouldn't result in damage to the roof edges when the trim is replaced/clad under the newly nailed down drip-edge which was why we wanted the siding done first. | |If Findlay Roofing had not left us hanging the job would have been theirs. We didn't do multiple bids. I thought the Findlay roof price and warranty was excellent so saw no need until he just quit trying. Perhaps the Raleigh area Findlay does -only- roofs but never definitively said so. He did tell us we could probably convince our insurance company to pay part of the job and that many people do. We had no idea how to handle that ourselves. | |His competition handled this successfully from the get-go for us."

+ -1 moreThe Findlay Roofing representative was the only sales person who actually came with a ladder and climbed my roof before giving me a proposal. Scott pointed out issues others missed.? He made recommendations on grades of underlayment,? shingles and flashing and asked my opinion. Findlay?s quote was in line with other quotes (around? $10,000),? however the quality of their service and materials were superior to other proposals. ? Little things make a big difference, like bringing in dumpsters with tires not steel wheels that tear up driveways, taking special care in valleys, overhangs and low slope areas of the roof and cleaning up each night. Having the sales representative track the entire job, bringing his own ladder to independently inspect the quality and completeness of the job. These are a few of the things that warrant my POH Angie recommendation. ? The installation crew were pros. Mindful that a roofing job is no better than the installation, I was equally impressed with Findlay?s experienced crew.? Every worker knew what to do and worked as a team. I greeted the foreman each morning and the Findlay representative called each day regarding the progress of the job. ? The response from Findlay demonstrates the concern this company has for customer satisfaction and demonstrates the value of Angie?s list as a feedback forum for both customers and contractors. ? I highly recommend Findlay Roofing NC. I give them ?A? in every category and would use them again in ?a heartbeat?.
Description of Work: For years I heard about Angie’s List thinking I could easily find local contractors without a subscription service. When it came time to replace my roof, I started researching contractors and was soon overwhelmed with names and a lack of information about their history, workmanship and customer care. I decided to try Angie’s List for one year (now I wish I took the 3 year option), if for no other reason to confirm my own research. Here is what I discovered. Angie’s List not only directed me to the best roofers in Raleigh, some of which I was not aware, but Angie followed up my searches offering assistance and asking for input on my search results. I responded positively to their request with one exception. Findlay Roofing NC assigned a representative that did not show up for appointments and failed to provide a quote. I later discovered the former sales representative had “dropped the ball” potentially damaging company sales and reputation. I did receive proposals from four other contractors in an efficient and timely manner. When Angie asked me to rate my experience, I shared my thoughts providing negative feedback about the company that did not quote. The day I was to sign a contract with another company Stevie from Findlay called. She apologized for personnel issues, assured me they had corrected the situation and asked me to give them another chance. Thank goodness, I agreed. Of all the contractors I researched, Findlay Roofing NC turned out to be the best.

+ 0 moreThe work turned out just fine. I am very happy with it. I also paid them extra to do the finishing work inside on the ceiling around my skylight. Preston was really great to work with. He was great at following up with me and coordinating the project in a time frame around the weather. They sent a guy out to do the finishing work and it wasn't acceptable to me. They agreed and sent two other men out to refinish the job. They really wanted me to be happy and it looks great. They stand behind their work which I think is very important. I highly recommend them!
