Ron came out and provided an estimate. The date came and he was a no show. I reached out and he explained he was having family problems. I agreed to push the date a few days. The night before the install, I texted to confirm and was told the carpet I ordered 45 days before wasn't in stock due to a warehouse inventory snafu and that it would be another fifteen days! This guy's service is just lousy. I didn't trust him enough to keep going and canceled the install.

Mr Ward gave me a written estimate in late January listing all the work to be done. I questioned the price as it was lower than another bid I had gotten, Mr Ward said it was due to the way of measuring the square footage. We set the date for delivering the wood in late February. The date came and went, I called, he reset the date. The date was missed again, I called, he reset the date. Date missed again. He said he was dealing with family issues. Delivery date set a 4th time, now well into March. . FOUR MINUTES before he was due to arrive, I get an email saying he rechecked his estimate and he forgot to add something - and increased his estimatefrom $816 to $1790. ,!!!! Talk about being angry !! If he has been in business over 20 years, how can you forget to include $1000 for whatever..... .?? Bait and switch. i should have insisted he honor his estimate which by law can be increased only by 10%, which would have been less than $100. I was concerned he would have done a very poor, sloppy, job and went with another contractor.

Ron's company refinished hardwood flooring which was damaged by a tenant move out. He was punctual and responsive when working to get the job. Stupidly, I paid him without doing a thorough inspection of completed work. His crew neglected to install and nail quarter round at two columns and near a fireplace. I reached out to him for solution to the missed moldings two times; received a response once and then contractor amnesia set in. Fixing these missed details (my fault) cost me an additional $395. I will never use Ron again. The work that they did complete looked amazing. The end left a foul taste in my mouth.

Ron was the cheapest of the quotes I got for this service. He went to the dock to pick up the carpet I purchased from Dalton GA, and worked with me when they didn't send the second roll as they were supposed to do. His crew cleaned up after themselves nicely and the carpets look perfect.
