My experience started well with quick availability of two loaders for two hours for the day following my inquiry for $145. Three men arrived about 1.5 hours late per their assigned time although I was told arrival would be an hour later than they were told, so to me they were only 30 minutes late. Regardless, my items were to be loaded into a trailer and ideally, I had only wanted heavy items moved and I would move my own packed boxes. However, the men went ahead and moved all my items. I gave each man $20 each as a tip as they were nice, and quick. After they left I looked in the trailer and the way the items were packed was not right. I began unpacking the items such as a white leather chair unprotected and wedged upside down against the side of the trailer and atop items that would crease the chair. The side of the chair was all tore up and the chair was new and hardly used. My bed frame had been dragged on the ground and the corners were chipped off (a modern style veneer bed). Assembly bolts in the frame were missing. They only carried it from an upstairs bedroom to the trailer! How did this happen? There was a crushed indentation on my headboard and scratches on the dresser drawer front. A handmade wood side table was tossed upside down and unrestrained atop all my items in the trailer. If not restrained, any sudden stops or turns would send it flying back and forth across the trailer. There is now a long gouge in the surface. Boxes and clear containers with a miniature liquor bottle collection were packed sideways and one box fell to the ground. I haven't even opened that to see what is broke but I can hear the glass. I took the time to bag my mattress but the dragging on the ground had the bag halfway off and the corners of my mattress dirty and the pad torn. I sent pictures of the damage immediately to Mr. Jackson. He promptly replied he would look into it. The trailer was to leave the following Monday. He updated me the following week to say a meeting was scheduled with the men. Then he updated again that the men denied the damages yet he would call his insurance to see what could be done. The communication began to drop off with me following up every few weeks. I was then informed that the insurance company indicated there was nothing they could do as they needed to inspect the items before they left. My friend who received the trailer and oversaw the unloading said the unloaders continually pointed out that damage saying "it was there" so they would not be blamed. Mr. Jackson did not offer to come see the damage at any time nor did he mention that an insurance agent needed to inspect the damage prior to the trailer leaving as I could have changed the pickup date. Requests for the insurance company contact information have gone unanswered. Request for reimbursement of the fee and tips ($205) at a minimum have gone unanswered. I indicated to Mr. Jackson I have no other choice than to post this review and report this to the BBB. Seeing my damaged items makes me sick as these items have never been moved out of the house before as they were bought new within the past year or two nor have I ever used a moving service to load items. The purpose of my move is a marital situation which is not pleasant in itself and to have my items damaged was additional stress. So this experience and the outcome was horrible for me, with the lack of concern, responsiveness, and resolution being the worst of it.
