I had planned to paint myself, but ended up needing to move in sooner than I had anticipated. In a panic, I reached out to RenovateRepair. Susan Prenatt, who co-owns the company with her spouse, moved heaven and earth to get me on the schedule so that they could paint for me before I moved in. They did a wonderful job! They managed to paint everything I asked them to--even beating their own deadline. Everything was done in a very professional way, and the results were beautiful. Everyone who has visited my new home has remarked on the lovely colors! This was one of the most positive experiences I have ever had with a painting company. I will definitely be calling them back to do some more painting in the future.

We were very happy with the work. Our house is 20 years old and needed to have the siding completely replaced, but we could not afford that so we asked for some areas to be resided and other areas to be repaired. We probably had 25-30 % of the house replaced with HardiPlank. After repair the house was fully painted by RenovateRepair. I had estimates from three contractors that had the top three ratings on Angie's list for our area. One company was not interested in a partial residing and only gave an estimate for a full siding job and they were not considered. The other two companies provided estimates for what we wanted. The estimates were both close and we felt confident based on ratings that either would have done a good job. We chose RenovateRepair because they provided a very detailed estimate which turned out to be valuable. Whenever there was a question about a specific piece of siding, we could go back to the estimate for answers. The siding work was fine - we did have a small number (less then 10) nails come through the inside wall of one room around doormers. They pulled those out - it was not very noticeable and we did not follow up on that. After the siding was finished Susan managed the painting. We changed paint colors and had some trouble finalizing on the colors. Susan help a lot and worked around an unforeseen issue - our chimney had settled and pulled away from the house. Painting was put on hold until the chimney was secured by another contractor and then RenovateRepair made some additional repairs and had to powerwash part of the house again due to the chimney work and then finish the painting.

Susan and her crew were great!!!. Susan stopped by with her crew chief for an estimate of the work. After reviewing all the areas I asked her to include in the estimate (in addition to the foyer and basement stairs I wanted to get a split estimate for the kitchen and family room as well) she provided us with a complete estimate for all the areas individually including a comprehensive list of the work to be done on each. She also provide us with some guidance on color choices, as we weren't completely certain on which color to pick. They showed up at the house on time and did a great and very professional job. After the job was complete everything was cleaned up and it was like they weren't even there. I got to say that we requested this estimate within 2 weeks of Christmas and she was able to juggle multiple jobs to accomodate us since we have family visiting for the holidays and needed the work completed ASAP. Really appreciate the flexibility!

They had great attention to detail that gave the house a professional finish - for example, how the outside lights fit against the wall and clean lines between the trim and house. We had planned on replacing the basement door - but their repairs and painting made it look great. They came when they were scheduled and finished in time frame given. We are very pleased with the results. Our house looks new!
Description of Work: Renovate Repair replaced all the masonite on our 2-story house with HardiePlank. They painted all the trim, shutters and doors. An addition to the house was already Hardiplank - so they painted it to match the new color.

Very poorly. We asked them to leave prior to job completion Siding and trim was done in October of 2010. Though warned to use short nails, when removing old siding, they drove old nails in and they came through the sheet rock on the inside. They are cut off and spackled but I have walls to paint. Workers were warned to be careful of the gutter guards but they got them out of alignment and we had to fix them. They did not paint/prime the cut edges of the HardiePlank, a real concern where dormer siding goes along the roof line. We did it before winter snow. Renovate Repair (RR) paid for work and after 2 years had painters do areas our ladders could not reach. MiraTEC was not sealed on the cut edges so can absorb water. Some trim has swelled. We primed it but it is getting bad mildew. RR said he would replace some but it is not done. Where water runs down beside it on the roof is a real concern. Though now adamantly denied, RR suggested caulking the MiraTEC to the roofing shingles to stop water intrusion. This repair has somehow caused an opening in the attic such that you now can see daylight near a couple of the dormers. RR was notified in early Dec of 2011 when it was discovered but does not accept responsibility. RR fired their original paint crew and as a result did not return returned until the Jan/Feb 2011 time frame, when it was very cold, to paint the house with painters from another company. They assured us that the company?s workmanship was good and that you could paint down to the freezing point. We agreed to proceed, since HardiePlank siding is to be painted within 6 months. The workmanship was very poor and the company they hired went bankrupt a couple of months later . I made a call to Duron and was told that you could paint as long as the temp stayed above 35 degrees for 48 hours so we felt justified in not letting them paint unless those conditions could be met. We have since learned that 35 degrees refers to surface not ambient temperature, so surfaces would not have been warm enough when they would start in the mornings and the paint did not cure properly. Pressure washing left dirt and mildew and they were priming over that dirt and mud now accumulated on the window sills. We stopped them and called RR who arranged for the house to be rewashed. Some of the primer started to peel off in a couple of days. I found our paint and primer stored out in the freezing weather. Painting resumed but when they got to the back deck where we could see the result, it was very thick, not smooth, with heavy brush strokes, they painted over sap that had run from knots in boards. Window ledges that we repeatedly told them needed sanding were not, and excuses were made about areas that I pointed out, so we asked them to leave. The painters were also warned about the gutter guards but they messed them up again and hooks to hold them in place were lost. RR has reimbursed us for the repair. The gutter person found a repair that RR made near the roof not even painted so he painted it for us and we compensated him. RR found dry rot at the bottom of a back door so cut the jamb about 8 inches up, and replaced it with material that is about 1/8 inch too narrow, can?t be stained on the inside to match the woodwork, was not sanded on the cuts, and poorly painted. I got repair estimates and RR accepted one. There was to be a material change and when asked for a revised estimate for RR, the contractor took offense and wouldn?t do the work. RR was prepared to pay but under the circumstances retained the check. This summer RR said they had credited us on the door repair. After a review of the paperwork, it appears that they did but the estimates to repair RR work, (the entire leg of the door jamb now needs replacement), exceed the credit. The window screens had mud on them even though power washed, and I had to take them out and scrub them. They did not put screens back in the correct windows so we broke off hooks when trying to get them hooked in. Other screens were damaged and their repair had wrinkled screening and a center bar misplaced and crooked. I got a new screen made for half the cost of a repair. RR has reimbursed the charge. The paint never flowed out and remained tacky. Besides improperly prepared surfaces, foreign matter being painted in, and a rough paint job, there were skins, holidays, blisters that have peeled, areas where it came off as windows and doors had to be closed, paint on interior stained window ledges, and the HardiePlank has a very consistent ripple appearance. In early 2011, I had multiple painters out to see what could be done and they all said that the trim paint needed to be chemically stripped. One contractor brought a Sherwin-Williams (SW) rep who agreed but told me to wait until the following spring to minimize further damage done by stripping, and to do an adhesion test on the siding after the winter. He felt that the paint on the siding appeared as though it had been rolled on vs sprayed was because it was too cold when applied and that an extremely rough area was from brushing back and forth when it was too cold. He returned the following spring (2012) and read the adhesion test as a 70% failure RR subsequently came with their own SW rep and district manager who said the adhesion test was a 10% failure and offered to warrant the paint (not workmanship) for 3 years from peeling and chipping. I don?t yet have a warranty as further issues need resolution. The manager said ripples on the siding were in the HardiePlank so I filed a warranty claim. Hardie says that they find nothing to indicate that the siding is defective. New dirt and debris now embeds itself on the window sills such that they can no longer be washed with a sponge and water. This November, after SW asked them to take care of the window ledges. RR returned to get paint off interior window surfaces. They had a chemical that was supposed to not take off the varnish. It did, so they sanded and stained the ledges. I found what appeared to be sawdust mixed into stain, areas that were still rough or missed. RR returned to redo it and I was asked to check the surface before staining. Again areas were not properly sanded., I was told they could not be but they were finally and the stain took fine. RR put tung oil sealant on too heavy such that the surface is too shiny. They had steel wool to buff it but never did. I had to be here for 5 days already to get this done - I will buff it myself. RR indicated willingness to fix sills where debris is painted in and new dirt embedded, but that is the same paint as is on the rest of the trim and is peeling, came off like a skin and RR does not acknowledge those problems. Other windows that are cracking and/or peeling he says is because the wood is rotting and needs to be replaced. I have reminded him that those were the same windows I complained about not having been properly sanded when the initial painting was done and were cracking in the spring and nobody would look at them. I suspect water has now gotten in. RR says I can hire him to replace the bad wood or have someone else do it and he will paint it. Based on previous and recent work, I neither want to hire RR to do any additional work or have his painters destroy new work that someone else would do. Paint has come off another area where the primer started peeling after the initial bad power washing and rot has set in and I have tape over an area on another window ledge where paint has come off hoping to prevent water from getting in. The painters did not clean up the debris (supposedly one of the reasons their old paint crew was fired) . I cleaned up what was on the deck and in the driveway but could not go out on the roof to clean the debris from the dormers. RR finally removed that debris this November. They were not careful. When the painters pressure washed they sprayed at full blast up on the double hung windows getting water on our electronics. Even though advised of the problem, when they rewashed, they got water in and destroyed the lining of custom made draperies. RR removed the soiled lining and I could find only one company in town who would reline them. The drapes now hang bowed and twisted because the fabric has been stretched. RR reimbursed me for the cost of the relining but accepts no further responsibility for the result. When they sanded, they did it with windows wide open and wind blowing sawdust in on the furnishings. Even when they sanded interior window ledges to remove paint, I had to ask them to use a large towel I gave them to protect our electronics and carpeting from the dust. When we last spoke, RR was going to prepare a written statement noting what he planned to do. I have not received that report and want him to honor his original request that I get someone else to do the work and he reimburse me. I have already spent more time than I should asking people for recommendations, going to realtor offices for suggestions, meeting people only to find the job is too big or they are not insured, etc. I finally told RR that I was going to call my insurance company and ask who they would use if someone called with a claim. I got an estimate from them and they could take care of coordinating the whole thing for me. RR never acknowledged that estimate and when I recently reminded him, I was told that it was ridiculously expensive, that I could get Handy Andy. I reminded him that he already had an estimate submitted from Andy on Call for some of the items.
Description of Work: They were to replace existing siding (except back of house) with smooth HardiePlank, cornerboards with non-rot MiraTEC, and moulding, sills and trim (as needed) with non-rot material. This included pressure washing the house exterior, sanding any peeling paint on trim, priming any exposed wood, caulking all joints, filling nail holes on siding, and priming and painting the entire house with Sherwin Williams SuperPaint (satin finish) on the siding and Duron WeatherShield (semi-gloss) on the trim, windows, doors, and shutters.

Response from RenovateRepair.com
Numerous steps have been taken over the course of two years to resolve the litany of alleged issues raised by the homeowners. In order to avoid a multi-page response, perhaps citing a few examples would shed some clarity on what has transpired. PRESSURE WASH: Following the pressure washing, the homeowner emailed us stating that he was very dissatisfied with the results of the pressure wash. Based on the intensity of the dialogue, we offered to re-wash the house with no charge whatsoever for either cleaning, and respectfully requested that they contact another contractor who might be a better fit for them. He declined and assured us that we had misunderstood. After the second pressure wash, the homeowner stated that the surfaces were still not properly cleaned, and that sanding and priming on the 2nd floor window trim needed to be stopped. We did not personally examine the sill, but requested the crew re-wipe every sill. DRAPERIES: The homeowners explained on a Monday that water from the pressure wash performed the preceding Friday, had entered windows causing damage to drapery. Although we request that towels be placed at windows and that window treatments be pinned back to avoid potential damage, the recommendation was not heeded. DISPOSITION: Removing drapery lining is labor intensive, and we were unable to find an alterationist willing to perform the task. We carefully did it by hand, and delivered the drapery after having them dry cleaned. The homeowner complained that the draperies should not have been dry cleaned, that the lining had been removed improperly, and that further damage had been done. Although the drapery has been professionally re-lined, by a vendor of their choosing, they are not satisfied with the work, and consider the draperies ruined. We paid $249 for 25-year old draperies to be cleaned re-lined. CUSTOM TRIM: The homeowners were displeased with the standard painting of the trim and said we appeared to be taking a shortcut. We suggested that they walk their neighborhood and review the house trim. After walking their neighborhood, they said that although the trim was handled as we stated, they wanted their trim to be finished as it had been on every house they had ever owned. We explained it was a custom request, and would take an additional day’s labor and additional material. DISPOSITION: Custom trim painting was provided at no additional charge. We absorbed the cost of the additional labor and material. EXTERIOR PAINTING: The homeowners have stated that they are concerned about potential paint failure, as a result of incompetence. They have stated that we have not responded to an estimate they received to replace the siding on the house in entirety, strip the paint from all of the trim, and repaint the entire house. We have repeatedly declined to accept this as a reasonable response to their claim of potential damage, considering the findings of both Sherwin Williams and James Hardie. DISPOSITION: The surfaces were inspected by the regional representative of Sherwin Williams/Duron. A sample was taken from the surface for testing by an independent laboratory, and the conclusion is that the paint was applied properly and has excellent adhesion. Sherwin Williams was so confident of their findings, that they extended an offer in writing for 3 years beyond the two, and are willing to pay for labor and materials should there be e failure. As of this date, the homeowners have not accepted their offer, stating that it would “take us off the hook.” SIDING: The homeowners have stated that they are concerned about potential siding failure, as a result of improper installation. The field-cut edges were not primed, and they should have been. DISPOSITION: Since the homeowners made it clear that we were unwelcome, we offered to pay for a handyman to take care of the edges requiring attention. The homeowner painted most of the edges himself, and charged us $400 for a task that should have cost $45-$75 by a competent professional. Subsequently, two members of our crew painted the remaining field cut edges. The homeowners requested an inspection of the siding by a Hardie Installation Specialist. His report stated that the siding meets the criteria of James Hardie. GUTTER GUARD: The homeowner advised us that a gutter guard clip was missing after completion of the project. We agreed to reimburse the cost of a replacement clip. DISPOSITION: We paid $265 to reattach a section of gutter guard and replace the clip. In the course of dealing with the issues raised by the homeowners, my husband’s appendix burst. At 11:30 P.M., I emailed the homeowners from the hospital explaining that he would be unable to meet with them the following day. The next day, I received a call from the homeowner expressing irritation and exasperation because he had not kept his appointment. I explained that I had emailed her as I was waiting for him to come out of surgery and she responded by saying that it was unprofessional of me not to call her personally instead of relying on her to pick up her email. Once my husband was sufficiently recovered, that appointment was kept and he arrived with two current members of our team. When the team members left the property they stated that they would be unwilling to return. We have promised to honor the homeowner’s request to replace a rear cornerboard and address ill-fitting screens and touch up the surrounding trim that has gotten scratched. If the homeowners submit a reasonable estimate, we will be happy to take care of that. We believe we have gone beyond what most contractors would be willing to accept, and will not consider any further demands by the homeowners. We have requested information to verify our statements from both James Hardie and Sherwin William, and will forward that documentation on as soon as we receive it. In closing, in the course of the project, we received daily calls from the crew expressing distress and threatening to quit. According to the crew, the homeowner followed them about, making disparaging comments about their work, as well as questioning them when they broke for lunch. Suffice to say, the crew’s moral deteriorated, the stress was extreme, and this was undoubtedly the most emotionally draining project we have ever undertaken. Regrettably, two years later, it continues to generate emotional upheaval.

I talked with and got estimates from several vendors of different sizes. Their price was reasonable, communication was good, and angies reviews were great so I picked them. Very responsive to my needs. Hard working crew. Great to work with. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Replaced single story home siding with hardiplank. Replaced some soffit, fachia, etc. . Added window molding. Replaced shed door. Painted all house trim. Discovered out of code situation, which uncovered some rot, they fixed the problem and the code violation (which caused the problem). This added 5% to the original cost but I felt it was necessary and was glad they found it.

RenovateRepair is simply the best contractor/company for the job: 1) Complete estimate, with options to address issues 2) Proper permits for the job in advance 3) Team is professional On time, on schedule Respectful of the homeowner & property Prepared & experienced for the job Excellent communication between team members, owners & homeowner Took the time to do things right, no rushing 4) Team is neat. No trash floating around. Tools/ladders & materials neatly stacked at the end of the day. All Construction debris in dumpster at the end of the day 5) Team has excellent communication. The owners, George & Susan, were on the work-site daily. Email, phone and personal contact at every stage of the project meant no surprises. Any issues found were shown to us, explained to us and then options for addressing the problem given. 6) Team is experienced Highly skilled trades-craft Attention to detail Esthetics count, no ugly fixes Hiring Renovate Repair was the absolute best decision we have made for our home improvement projects. George and Susan came to the house to evaluate what repair they thought was needed and within a few days we had an estimate from them with different options for us to consider. This was very helpful because like most people we were on a budget but at the same time we wanted to get things done and we wanted them done correctly. We were able to make an informed decision based on their input and we are very pleased with the results. Their involvement did not end at the estimate. George and/or Susan visited the job-site each and every day. They oversaw the entire process personally. They kept us involved, up to date and informed. Unlike with some contractors, we always knew what was happening. The whole crew has a great attention to detail at all stages of the project. Within the first couple of days we knew we could relax because everything was being handled the way it should be. The payment process was just as clear and perfect, meaning no surprises. Post project follow-up was handled with the same quality. If you want it done correctly, you want RenovateRepair.
Description of Work: Renovate Repair replaced the entire exterior of our 18 year old house with Hardieplank's ColorPlus System and also addressed all carpentry problems including those found during the project.

I had called several siding and renovating places for estimates. George, from RenovateRepair.com, came out and he showed me all the damage and explained to me the work that was needed and even explained how the cuts in the framing surrounding the chimney frame and window would prevent water from leaking in from the weather. George was very professional and explained everything about hardiplank siding and the carpentry that was needed. I received an estimate from George which was the most professional letter head estimate that I had received, other estimates were just a short. minimal write up. Renovate Repair's estimate was in detail listing all cost for everything so I knew what to expect and was never left guessing what renovation I was paying for. It also included a list of referrals as well. George and his crew arrived as scheduled and began work. The crew was awesome. They worked very hard and answered all the questions I had and explained and showed me any extended damage once the siding was removed and we were able to better see how bad the damage was, and it was bad. But I didnt have to worry George's crew and lead Hilario were very professional and knew what they were doing. I was very confident the entire length of the repair knowing I was getting the job done right! After everyday the crew cleaned up, no debris was ever left laying around the yards. After all the wood work was done, and the siding was replaced, they caulked everything and then painted all the siding that was replaced which was a large section in the back of the house from the corner of the house to the deck. Afterwards the following day, Hilario finished the inside of the picture window the following day. When Hilario came back to finish the inside window repaint, I noticed he was rechecking his work on the outside that was finished and made sure that all the seams were caulked. I could really tell he took pride in his work wanting to make sure everything was done and nothing was missed. Even after he was finished the day before. And to me that says a lot. I was more then pleased with the entire experience and professionalism of RenovateRepair.com. The cost came way way under budget, and was thousands less then other estimates we had received. The quality of craftsmanship was second to NONE! I would highly recommend RenovateRepair.com, and will definitely be calling them back for further repairs on my house.
Description of Work: Back of our house has a very large picture window with a window seat. On the outside of the window was major water damage to where the window frame wood underneath the original siding was very badly rotted to the point we thought the entire window would fall out. The siding also was so rotted it had huge gaping holes all along the back quarter section of the house. The siding and wood framing would have to all be replaced from the back left corner all the way to the screened deck to include the entire chimney. The inside of the house where the seated picture window is would need new window framing and would need to be repainted the water damage was so bad it came through. Also the siding would have to be repainted as well as the inside of the house where the picture window was.

The two young men that actually made the repairs were skilled carpenters. I am very satisfied with their work. During the original negotiations, I made several changes to the list of repairs. The company made the changes to the estimate quickly and cleanly.
Description of Work: RenovateRepair replaced a considerable amount of rotten wood on the outside of my home. This included fascia, soffet, brick mold, and siding. They also replaced wood on the bathroom and bedroom windows. After considerable repair, the chimney was painted. The roof gable vents were also sanded and painted.

This project was best improvement we have made to our home, hands down! The owners of RenovateRepair.com, George and Susan, were very professional and provided a detailed estimate in a timely manner. They also provided a long list of customer references. All references responded positively which greatly assisted us in our decision. The project took just over two weeks and finished just before Christmas. George and project foreman provided constant feedback which allowed us to make aesthetic choices during the process. We were extremely impressed by the work of the installation crew. Our home is very tall and they came prepared with proper equipment including scaffolding and safety equipment. The precision in board cuts and trim illustrated the crew's skill and attention to detail. Clean up was prompt after the project ended even though very little waste was generated. (Please keep in mind that cutting Hardie siding generates a lot of cement dust, which is difficult to clean up once it gets inside of your home. Keep mats at all doors and clean them daily to cut down on the dust. ) All exterior fixtures, outlets and gutters were reinstalled correctly and the caulk/paint work was immaculate. It was a pleasure working with the owners and entire crew. We have a lot of experience with construction and have an eye for detail, which makes us hard to please when it comes to contracting services for our home. In our opinion the finished project appears to have been installed by craftsmen instead of just siding contractors. Thank you for the great job!
Description of Work: RenovateRepair.com completely resided our 22 yr old home with Hardie Plank fiber cement siding over our existing T-111 plywood siding. We chose the Select Cedarmill (rough sawn style) horizontal lap siding with the factory prefinished ColorPlus Technology from James Hardie Industries. Some additional work was performed as the result of water damage to our chimney, but the cost was minimal.

It was a three-week process from the last week in October till the second week of November. I spent about $6400 for their services. What I liked about George was that he was very honest and helpful in determining what work needed to be done. He counseled us in regards to what would make sense and what wouldn’t make sense for our home. The quote was exactly what ended up being the charge. Along the way, they found some additional things that needed to be done and they did that without charging us. Some things resulted in a little bit more money, but it wasn’t far off from the original quote and there were things that they couldn’t find when they started. They were prompt. The carpentry guys were fast and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves. It was very pleasurable all around. Everything seems to be fine. It has only been like a week or two. It went according to the plan. We just re-painted the house partially and they tried to match up the paint. They told us originally that it would match perfectly, but then they weren’t sure if it was going to match a 100% when they put it on. They worked with us. They were either going to power wash our whole house and then come back to spray in some paint on the old siding. So, they had different ideas that they were going to do to make sure we were happy with it and they were going to ease the cost on a lot of it. It all ended up working out in the end and it looked just fine once they put the paint on. So, there was really nothing to worry about. Their price was comparable with every other quote we had. They were here on time everyday. I would surely use them again.
Description of Work: RenovateRepair did the carpentry work back in October. They came and painted a week later. Then there was a week where they didn’t do anything. Then they came back and finished up the painting. They repaired the siding and the trim as well.

They were delayed getting started but they kept us informed. When the crew started, they stayed as close to schedule as they could given the heat and rain we experienced at the time. They did a walk through after each stage (siding/trim and painting) and they had the crew back within a week after the job closed out to do the final punch list. They are very nice people.
Description of Work: Susan and George are very nice and they clearly want to do a good job. They were good about communicating with us and when things were not done right, they made them right. They replaced a good deal of siding and trim work and then repainted our entire house, which is about 2400sf. Their original estimate on the siding was off by about $1000 and then later they found some windows that would need replacing within a year or so (we opted to wait), so those estimates were not the most accurate. The painting quote remained firm. They needed to re-do some of the painting - and as a result, they replaced even more siding - but it was so hot, I can see how they may have had problems with the paint. Best as I could tell from the names on the trucks that showed up, they have their own crew do the repair work and they sub out the painting. The crews were well-mannered and picked up after themselves though they usually arrived later than we were told to expect them. Susan and George did a good job overseeing the work.

My time spent getting an estimate from him and checking out his qualifications was wasted when he declined my "small" project. Don't call this guy if you aren't willing to get your credit card out.
Description of Work: Contractor came out and gave an estimate on a few repair jobs to be done on the exterior of my house, but backed out of job because I decided not to do all jobs at once (total cost was over $1,500 and I don't have that kind of money laying around in an account). To keep the expense at what I could afford near $500, I asked George Prenatt to do the most pressing job of replacing some moisture-damaged trim boards on my dormer windows only, that's when he told me he wasn't interested in the job anymore. Apparently, he frowns on jobs under $1,000.

Response from RenovateRepair.com
We originally provided an estimate with two separate and independent options. The first addressed exterior repairs totaling $651. The second addressed pressure washing and staining the deck for $749. After receiving our proposal, we were asked us to revise the estimate to include repairing trim boards on dormer windows only, and at $223, we explained that this project did not meet our minimum of $250. We customarily recommend hiring a competent handyman in a situation like this, since we have crews and do not perform repairs ourselves. Some clients may request 2, 3, or even 4 personal meetings with us while deciding if they wish to use our services. Although the estimate is free to our potential clients, it is not free for us. It involves our time, and actual expense whether we are chosen or not.

Renovate Repair removed a great deal of rotted siding from my house which is about 14 years old. I also had a lot of rot around several windows, doors, and garage. All of this was replaced and repaired. After all the siding and rotted wood/trim was removed, the entire house was power washed and painted. Susan and her crew took great care with all the small details involved in the cleaning, priming and reading the house for painting. Once ready, Susan gave me great advice about the paint, the process and selecting the color for the house/shutters. I also had some interior walls repaired/painted and you absolutely cannot tell there were any repairs done because it matches perfectly. Any small incidental damage occurring during the process was fixed at no cost to me. This was a big job and Susan worked hard to keep it moving despite weather issues. Renovate Repair was not the lowest price estimate I received, but it was the most thorough and comprehensive one and was still within my budget for this job (where other estimates were vague, non-specific and a few were astronomically ridiculous)! Susan's crew was pleasant and respectful, and also took care not to damage any of my plants/trees around the house. Once completed, they did a great job cleaning up the surrounding area. The only thing I think I would have done differently is I would be a little more liberal with the removal of more siding. The house looks beautiful and the whole project was well worth the $10,000 expense for such a large project. I especially like checking out the bright, new curb appeal as I pull into the driveway! I would definitely use Renovate Repair again for any future project. Thank you all at Renovate Repair.

Renovate Repair was the company we selected over all the seven bids we recieved to do this work to our home. They were not the cheapest, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. They came out and looked, and gave us a bid within the time they said they would. Weather delayed some of the project, but otherwise, the residing and repairs, as well as the painting part of the job took maybe one day longer than the week they had projected for each part of the whole job. The workers were efficient, polite, and diligent. All debris was removed and none of our plants, shrubs were damaged during the whole project. The work they did is first class and we are thrilled with the results. Our house looks like a brand new house! One thing that was not in the contract was the gutters. Of course Renovate Repair took them down to paint the facia board behind the gutters when the house was painted, but painters are NOT "gutter reinstallers", so to speak, so I was stuck having to pay a gutter company to come out and reinstall the gutters once the painting was finished. Other than this small oversight, (and $500 extra expense), it was a good experience working with Renovate Repair.
Description of Work: Renovate Repair gave the exterior of our home a complete make over. The old masonite siding was removed, all the trim boards removed, and all rotted moulding, trim, facia, brick moldings, sills, etc were replaced with miratech, (a non rotting material). The house was wrapped in Tyvek house wrap, and the new James Hardie siding (hardiplank) was installed. The house was powerwashed, then the exterior and trim were painted. It looks fantastic, like a brand new house.

I sent emails to people I knew had used the company to see if I should continue to use them. I received all positive reports that people liked their service and would continue to use them. They are honest and have integrity. I trust them. When I used them before for the siding work they were able to replace only the parts of the siding I wanted done. They did a great job making sure the 2 materials went together well. I was very happy with the work they did. I can't say enough good about them. They were great to work with.

They were excellent. They came when they said they would. They got the work done right on time and the final price was the same as their original estimate. I would definitely hire them again.

We asked them to do the job in December. They have a busy schedule as word of mouth has gotten out. Then it took awhile to get on the schedule due to snow and rain pushing everyone back several weeks. They will not accept shoddy work and want to make sure the weather will hold before getting to it. Susan kept in touch through all the bad weather and let us know exactly when the start date was for each step. As we have pets we needed to be home when the doors were replaced and windows were open/closed. Susan was made aware of our needs and gave us plenty of time ensure someone was home during the appropriate work. Once all was complete the 18 year old home looks brand new. The old siding was removed. Our yard was cleaned. Susan came by and inspected the work herself and she really has an eye for detail A great experience working with them. Their website is http://renovaterepair.com/ One last thing, after all was complete she even offered to send a crewman out on a Saturday to clean the glass on the inside of one of the replacement doors. Try them you will be glad you did.
Description of Work: We asked several companies for estimates. Renovate Repair gave us the best price and their references check out. They did an excellent job for us over several months due to weather conditions. Attention to detail was wonderful. Quality of materials was great. Workmanship was outstanding. They replaced siding on three sides of our home with hardiplank. Replaced two outside doors. Repaired rotted window ledges on two bay windows and a double kitchen window. Wrapped the home with Tyvek. Completely renovated our deck keeping as much usable as possible and replacing just those planks needing replacement (we were led to believe it would have to be completely replaced by two other companies). Repainted deck and home (including trim) with high quality paint.

I had a really terrible experience with a previous contractor. I was extremely cautious ands skeptical because of that. The owners understood the fact that I had been burned. They agreed to do a portion of the work first so that I could evaluate their work. They accommodated me in every possible way. I absolutely approve of the job that they did. They have a crew of two guys who were absolutely excellent at replacing the siding. They were courteous, punctual and efficient. I don't have a negative thing to say about them. They also did a great job of repairing the carpentry work. They were delightful to work with and helped me choose colors. They are professional, agreeable and likable people. They really wanted to do a good job.
Description of Work: I found them on the list. They replaced a front wall and a portion of the exterior of our home with hardy plank. They repaired a botched job by a prior contractor contractor on carpentry work. They painted the whole house.
