Bruce was a no-show, not once, but twice.

Working with Raleigh Windows and Siding was easy. The estimate process went smooth and fast. They gave me plenty of opportunities to check their past work and responded with a quote in short order. It took a while to get started on the job due to some HOA delays but once it started it went fast and smooth. At the end, a very small punch list was taken care of quickly. Overall, I have no complaints. They did a high quality job in very reasonable amount of time with limited fuss and inconvenience. I would strongly recommend them to anyone who asks.

Bruce and his team was on time and replaced all windows and back door in a very timely fashion, all a very reasonable price.

I happen to find Raleigh Windows and Siding from another source but noticed that the company was listed with Angie's List as well which made me feel more confident in hiring them. Bruce was professional, thorough and on time. He was quick to respond to any of our questions and followed up with us after the work was completed. He was helpful in guiding us to make the right choices for us and our home. What a difference the new windows and sliding door have made in our home! My neighbor is now interested in knowing who did our work!

Work Process: Started the work VERY soon after contract, and were done in about 2 weeks (see above - lots of items in the contract). All the materials were exactly the high-quality items promised. All the installation methods were pretty much as explained (no issues - just some reality intrusions). I work from home, so I was able to observe a lot. I essentially did a self-guided walkthrough every evening, and when I identified something that I thought needed something more (or had a question), I would call or email and it would get done the next day. VERY professional. Reality Check: Any big job will have issues - this was no exception. My test for anything like this was "how well do they deal with issues when they pop up." "Reasonable" is the best word to describe how Bruce managed issues. He didn't just blindly do everything exactly as I proposed (he would have been a bad businessman if he did - i proposed thing 100% in my favor ;-). Not once though did I ever feel that the agreement we came to was unreasonable. Good business people stay in business - and that is good for all since I have already seen Bruce stand behind his work (and he wouldn't be able to do that if he didn't maintain a viable business). I also need some roofing work done and I found out that they also do roofing work. The best recommendation I can offer is that I will definitely be including RWS in my set of contractors to provide estimates when I decide to pull the trigger on that job.

They did a great job. I would recommend them. We were very pleased with them.

Overall the siding replacement and painting went great . The weather had some of effect on the painting but that was mimimal. They started with a small crew with tearing off the siding and adding the insulation. then they brought in a larger crew with installing the new siding. Went on great the siding and the painting took about two days.

I assumed from conversation that Bruce has no patience unless he is in control and there is a buck to be made.

We selected this company after receiving quotes from 5 different window contractors in the Wake County area. Our home, built in 1972, had 13 windows (wood) covered with aluminum storms and one very large living room window (108" x 71"). All other companies would only be able to supply vinyl for the smaller windows and aluminum for the large picture window. We also needed to have white inner sashes and brown outside. (w'the same color scheme for window lite mullions. Enter Bruce Forster of Raleigh Window and Siding. He was able to special order exactly what we needed in fiberglass from Marvin Windows. The very large picture window was delivered the evening before the scheduled installation. The entire crew rolled in at about 8:00 AM and began work promptly. They really did have an amazing sequence of installation steps. As one pair of installers were removing the old windows, additional crew members were following behind with new sash installs, insulation, trim/brickmold installation and finally caulking. Like an orchestra!!!! It did take them a little longer wrestling with the very large picture window as there was some rot that was in need of repair. Through our the day, Shawn the crew lead, made sure that all progressed well. By 7:00PM that evening all of cleanup work was done and the house looks fantastic! I must say that in spite of our concerns about such a large project, all went extremely well and we would definitely recommend Bruce and his team for any of your home renovation needs. I am sure that we will enjoy our new windows for many years to come! Thanks Bruce and Shawn!

Their service turned out very well. The guy who runs it is very easy to work with. He makes sure that things get done right. As with any construction job there can glitches, but he made sure everything was corrected before I paid him.

I had an excellent experience with them. The price was very good. They were also responsive, punctual, and professional.

Overall an excellent experience. The work was performed professionally. They communicated with me throughout the project and addressed all my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this company. There was an initial challenge with the supplier delivering the wrong material (not Raleigh Windows and Siding's fault). They were very responsive in correcting the issue to make sure the correct materials were delivered in a timely manner for the job. Hurricane Irene visited in the middle of the project. RW&S had a plan in place to deal with the extreme weather to ensure no damage to my partially stripped home. There was a minor setback with my AC unit's connection box being damaged. RW&S informed me, and corrected the problem before I came home that same day. One thing I learned: During the removal process, I had some items fall off of shelves in my bathroom. It was a minor cleanup. I did not expect that much internal movement to occur. When they tell you that things might fall off the walls and you should take everything down, believe them.

The owner of the company, Bruce, came to my house for an estimate. I informed him that he was 1 of 4 companies giving me estimates that week. He was the only company that did not provide the estimate on the spot. He indicated that he would send me an email with the quote the next day but failed to do so. Again, from the start I told him that I had a total of 4 companies biding for the job. 3 days later Bruce finally called me with the estimate. When I told him that I had already chosen another company, he became defensive. I reminded him that he was 1 of 4 companies and I had expected him to contact me the next day as agreed. He tried to tell me that I had led him to believe he had more time. After going back and forth for a moment he finally said, "well it's unfortunate but there's no use arguing about it". I was very put-off by his attitude and was glad I didn't choose him to do the work. It just seemed logical to me to be prompt with the bid if you know you're 1 of 4 competing for the job. I just really didn't expect the reaction I got from him.

The owner, Bruce Forster, came out and showed me a sample of the Milgard window. Having looked at several other models of replacement windows, I was immediately impressed with the quality and features of the Milgard brand. Lifetime warranty along with glass break. Mr. Forster gave me a great price on the windows and the company was offering a rebate at the time, so the price was great for what you got in window features. To add the icing on the cake, the company is on Progress Energy's contractor list for home improvements so I was able to get an additional $450 back! If you are looking for replacement windows, you really need to check out Milgard windows. You won't find them in stores and Raleigh Windows and Siding is the only company in NC to carry the Milgard line. In the day of installation, a crew of 3 workers showed up at 8:30AM, the owner also came to make sure that all supplies were on site for a complete installation. They had all the old windows out and new ones in by 11:30AM. They came back after lunch to complete all the detail trim work. The work quality was great and the windows looks great! There was one minor problem with the windows, that my cat hates, is the fact that there is not as much heat from the sun on her window perch as there was with the old windows. Bad for her, great for my electric bill! I did a lot of research on windows looking for the biggest bang for my buck, if you want the same you can't go wrong with Raleigh Windows and Siding. I was not compensated for this endorsement.

From my first meeting with Bruce, he was punctual and fair. He provided me with a fair estimate to complete the job, a copy of his business license and insurance, and pictures of a past job his company completed that was similar to what I needed done. He even gave me a 5% discount on materials (not including the paint job) so that I would choose him to do the job. He is professional, and provides electronic invoices and contracts, so that you know exactly what you're going to get and what you're paying for.
